I live in Shannondale, Indiana and had a similar dream. In mine, I was buying a pair of tube socks and basketball mittens ( someone had already gotten the gloves ) from Shaq and I had just given him my money and was reaching out to get the tube socks and mittens when I was woken up by some trucker running his jakes on the west side of town at 2 in the morning. So now I'm out 100 bucks and have no mittens and socks. Anyway, I've been shadow-banned, so I will probably be the only person to read this comment, which explains why it only got one like. Thank you for your time.
Your not a bad person Kurt there are just to many idiots in this world and frankly they don’t care!!!!! I just wish that people would take driving seriously. You and opie take care and have a safe trip.
Yeah your jake brake definitely has louder bark to them now. But still sound good with turbo spooling too. Glad you didn’t get hit by that other truck and trailer, yeah they clearly not paying attention. We been getting some snow here in Alberta. ( Feb 21/2022) Hi from AB Canada. Stay safe as always :). Lol Blue song hah
Borrowed my son's computer but enjoy watching your runs. I use to drive truck but was taken off the road due to diabetes and insulin. So miss it. Oh my name is Linda. You get up in my area a lot its kind of fun to see that. Anyway thanks for sharing!
Man that was funny Shaquille O'Neal sold you his shoes? Man that is a big wide shoe. My foot is not as big as his but it is a size 15 but my foot is very very extremely wide like his foot is. It's 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe with very chubby fat wide toes that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide. People keep saying me and O'Neill should measure our foot to see who has the widest foot. I'm glad you found out the fix for the clutch. Your trip was plan just right to miss out on the snow event. Good video driver thank you for sharing & stay safe out there driver.
Looked like the Oakwood Loves. That stretch of 74 was shut down last Wednesday and Thursday. Then slow rollin Friday with the interstate be a sheet of ice. I sat in Crawfordsville In Wednesday evening till Friday morning.
Enjoyed all the road time in this video~ especially at night! Many nights I cannot sleep.I watch all the road shots and it lulls me back to sleep~ along with the pipes growling.Be safe
Hey Kurt, you reminded me of me back in the day it was around 2003,I would lube things up also hahaha!! I retired in 2017 68 yrs old, body parts aching, lol but I LOVED IT, first class looks great, love the way you take care of it,well as always c u next time keep truckin up whoop- whoop!!
It happens to me all the time. Think the other drivers not watching and think they are farther ahead than they are. Doing this for 25 plus but it has been worse than ever before
That's really scary to see a semi driver on the phone but it happens all the time. My husband and I got forced into a road construction barrel by a driver on his phone going around Chicago. We were just lucky to have our old Topkick and not a smaller vehicle. It was funny to see that thing fly. Flicked it like a bug. My friends in Hartford City, IN had more snow in that one storm that southern WI has had all winter. Thanks for sharing another great video. Safe travels and God bless.
We just saw Kurt on the phone last video. hands free or headset does NOT make it any safer. It's the actual conversation itself that is the distraction.
It didn't look like as many trailers in Indiana as usual to me. I think a number of us thought it was the change in cab height that caused the clutch problem. I love the way you talk WITH Opie like I do my dogs.Be blessed and havagudun Kurt.
Hi there again. Great vlog. My wife has family out there in the Indiana area & they said they got 15 or more inches of that white fluffy stuff. You most definitely picked a good almost 2 weeks 2 go ice fishing with little bud. Be safe out there. God is your pilot. Look forward 2 the merch soon. Time 2 hit the hay. Good night. Sleepy tight. 😴🌜🙏🏼💕
At least you got lucky. My 97 Kenworth that I recently purchased is in the shop here in Cedar Rapids. Radiator & Oil cooler leaking. Previous owner decided instead of fixing the leak, used literally 9 lbs of STOP LEAK. Got an update from the shop, They said Both heater cores are full of stop leak & trans oil cooler is full of it too. They flushed the entire system 5 times and can't get all of it out of the Heater core & Trans oil cooler. Also, come to find out the Trans oil cooler was damaged and leaking, so the previous owner bypassed it. I must've missed looking at it before purchasing it. I need to stop buying vehicles in the winter. FML.
Roads just meaner now days. Back in the 70's not too terrible.50 years and another 150,000,000 people in the U.S. (swear none can drive) and things just suck.Personally I think every vehicle on the road should have a device that disables a cell phone if the ignition is in the on position:that's just my dream.
Glad Opie likes to shift the truck with his head. Glad you got that sticky clutch fixed. Don't like a clutch that does not feel right. Safe travels be careful out there.
Know what ya mean about eating before going to bed. Had a crazy dream I was driving a school bus! Funny thing I've never been able to drive a day in my life, but in the dream I drove very good.
Damn it Schmidt! Work smarter not harder. Get yourself a Dewalt battery operated grease gun and oversized overalls for laying on the ground. Glad you got it situated 👌🏽
You crawling on the ground could compare how Opie feels on his feet 🐾. Thank you for showing a bridge 🌁 buutt it wasn’t the Peoria bridge, that by the way I have called mine for 30yrs,😊 I thought it was funny that you had a indentation where your headset sits, lol can’t wait to see Opie in his coat and boots, glad First Class is healthy again 😊🐾🦮🐕🦺🐠🐹🦂🐿🐿
Opie rules and he's the star! Who's the big guy you're dragging along, bud? He he, I love you guys! Keep Opie happy, time for cheeseburger soon? Remember Kurt, wheels on the ground, stay safe and we'll see ya next time.
I like your commentary and wish for more of it while driving. That is me, though. Keep up the goid work! I hate Indiana's bridges in a semi....hurts the back even in the air ride
Hey Kurt, Great video as always, It’s very cool when you show all the work you do to first class, Thank you for sharing your knowledge. We’ll stay safe my friend, Opie is one of a kind😄 truly a co pilot lol👍🏻🇨🇦
Yes, it was Oakwood. I am off the last IL exit so drive this area way more often than I want but in van. No idea why but the stretch from Oakwood to the stateline seems to get a lot of slide offs and napping on their side trucks in the snow. Had~11 in a bit back so yes, they got the plows out. GSD mix from shelter that ran with son curls up in recliner and goes to sleep when play audio of you driving.
Another fine video. I always learn so much of the trucker's world as I watch. Just a quiz for your viewers..at 13:38 what was on the flatbed that you passed?
I got mine 5 years ago when things were shaky at my full time job. About 6 months ago I started a new part time gig driving. It’s hauling chemicals. The teacher at driving school was over 80, retired Teamster, and as spry as a 20 year old. One piece of advice was to get as many endorsements as possible. That way you can have the most opportunities possible. This lead me to taking the test, getting the background check and all of the hazmat hoops. I’m happy in that segment. I work part time and can make a few hundred bucks in 4-6 hours. Good luck!
@@brianburns7211 thank you so much for the information and your story Mr. Burns. I’ve always wanted to be a truck driver but never did it and never thought of chasing my dream until now. What a great dog you have in Opie. Glad it nothing serious with the clutch. We got hammered in central Illinois last week also. Stay safe as always.
That dang 30-40 mph wind always gets us after a snow seems like
Glad to see you using a ruler on the log book! DOT guy told me once that he hardly ever checked the hour recap if logs were neat and readable!
Sand from sanding the road, probably a nice mix of salt in it. Love seeing Opie sitting in the seat, he loves riding.
im hooked on the sound of the cat engine
Glad you got the call about the clutch adjustment, I was thinking the same thing when you were pushing it in and letting it out.
Shaq selling you "basketball gloves" was actually Opie messing with you after you put those boots on him from the previous video 🤣
Thank you Sir for these videos Opie is beautiful ignore the haters because they have no one else to pick on

Kurt your brave riding next to that Transport America, looks like he wanted your lane while you were in it
Every one of us has crowded a lane. If you say you have never done it you are a liar.

Nothing better than loose leaf logs. Thats all I ran when I was trucking.
UGH !! Crawling under the truck ain't the way it used to be. Glad the clutch issue was an easy fix. Stay safe.
Crawling under the truck has always sucked. Are you implying that it used to be better?
That's the reason you don't buy a truck let someone else do it and they pay.
I saw A heard of Geese heading North this morning when I went out to get the newspaper. I thought that was A sign of Spring.😊
I agree with you on those trucker videos truckers already have a bad reputation with out some people making money off them KEEP ON TRUCKIN 👍🚛🇺🇸
All I can say about that driver is “shame on the mess!” I would have backed out quicker and let him go by.
me too, I'd rather back out of it and forget about it rather than allow the situation to continue.
great video like always, thank you Schmidt!
Glad the ole girl is back up and running 👍🏻👍🏻
Following him is so much better than him puking in the truck. Keep following him.
Hey bud super glad to c both of u guys back rolling
Amazing as always thanks. God bless you
You as well

If your spray can runs out of pressure give it a damb good squeeze and dent it that will give it just a bit more pressure to spray.
