- You guys all know my go to spot but here it is. I have my cousins with me from New York as we check out what I think is one of the most beautiful Ohio hiking spots, Hocking Hills. I have been here many times but this will be my first time at Whispering Cave. Of course, we check out the usual spots of Old Man's Cave, the Lower Falls and my absolute favorite spot, the Upper Falls. Hope you guys enjoy! You have to visit!

Boys looked like they had fun !
Hocking Hills is very beautiful indeed. Awesome video my friend 👍👍❤️
Yeah man that's what's it about. Show the stuff I'd never ever get to see otherwise. Beauty spot that is!
Thanks! It's indeed pretty.
I still find this place absolutely amazing every time you go there. And it looks like these two young men enjoyed themselves immensely. Thanks for sharing.
Yea, I've lost count of my visits now but one of my favorite things is to show other people.
Wow, that is beautiful out there! Thanks for sharing it with us Tim. I am sure your 2nd cousins enjoyed it. Take care. -ATB Adam 🐢
Thanks Adam, I've been there lots at this point. Still gets me every time.
great video, looks like the guys had a good time and it's always nice to see this spot no surprise it is your favorite those pools and falls are amazing. Whispering Cave looks like fun too
It was a good time. I was glad to get them out. They're city kids and they were just amazed by it all.
That was fantastic, so great to be out with family. I grew up going to Old man's cave, The Great Serpent Mound, and other sites in Ohio. Some of my fondest memories as a kid, thanks for sharing this great video!
Thanks for coming by, it's a nice area for sure. It was fun to show other people this time around too.
I love the Hocking Hills. Been there many times photographing but have yet to do a video. Maybe next visit. Thanks for taking us there and showing it to us. I'll have to check out Whispering Cave next time I'm out there as well. Thanks for sharing!
I think whispering cave is definitely worth the visit. It's a nice side attraction. Thanks for coming by!
Looks beautiful! Great route for making people love hiking!
I LOVE showing this spot off. This place totally rekindled hiking for me and started the backpacking bug.
I am from the Toledo area and I love the hocking hill area.i agree that it is beautiful!
Hey, you're in my neck of the woods! It's a nice spot to visit but Toledo does have a very nice metro park that's alot closer. Not as epic but very nice.
Wow what a beautiful Cave ! Awesome hike with the kids!
thanks Annie!
That place looks awesome man. Thanks for sharing it with us. I don't know if we have something quite like that in MN. But you inspired me to share my favorite Hiking spot on my channel. Thanks again.
It's a really neat spot for sure. I've been to Hocking several times now.
Some very nice shots. Looks like you convinced 2 more young guys to take up hiking!! :) Loved their smiles at the end, as well as yours!!
They seemed to be as awestruck as I was when I first visited. I hope it helps them "get the bug." They were already planning their next hike with me when they visit again. :) Maybe we can start a "hike with kids" foundation.
I plan to take the family there this weekend. Can't wait to see Whispering Cave!
I'm sure there will be tons of people this weekend. Whispering Cave was worth the detour I think. Not as big a main attraction as Old Man's Cave but a nice spot to have lunch.
Holy cow, another Josh! You are right, it is one of the coolest places to see in Ohio. Thanks for sharing Tim.
Ha! I know, I seem to hang out with Joshes.
Beautiful place!!!!
It is!
Man I love those rock formations. Always good to get the younger generation involved in the outdoors!
I agree. I had a ton of fun showing them this area.
Very nice place, Thanks Tim
Thanks John.
Looks like an awesome area.
Indeed it is!
When u said “this is cool” and look behind u and the other 2 were just standing there 🤣😭
Great to see young people enjoying nature!! Maybe you will get them on a backpack trip in the future. Thanks for sharing!
I know, it was really fun to take them out. I think once we get past the no bathrooms they'll have a blast.
I love your favorite spot. Very nice water fall. Cool bridge and cave.... and, you even had another Josh with you. I swear, I've got to change my name. Lol
lol, I'm not sure where all these Joshes come from.
_Wow, what a fantastic place, it looks great! Greetings from Germany, Angela_
Thanks!
Hocking Hills is amazing! They just opened that cool little bridge when we went. I did shoot some video of it, but it was crowded so I left it out. I'm also thinking about a possible RRG trip this fall. I wanted to go last year, but we had to cancel the trip.
RRG would be a neat trip. I think I'll be able to make it to Dolly Sods soon. We've had the worst luck with visiting there. Always gets cancelled.
I love this video
Man if lived in Ohio I'd be there any chance I got, love that spot! Great hike with the fam
Yea it's a nice place for sure. I'm jealous of the people who live closer.
Where do you live? Hocking Hills is definitely worth a visit if you ever get the chance. I go there at least twice a year.
Very cool place!!! The bridge looked a little shaky though!!!
Ha! That was half the fun!
that place is awesome
It is, one of my favorites!
Going to Hocking Hills this summer cannot wait. Kind of reminds me of West Virginia.
You won't be disappointed. Avoid the crowds if you can by going on a rainy-ish day.
Thank you for the information I appreciate it
Is your young cousin a vlogger too?! Looks like he had the full rig. lol Really beautiful spot. If I ever get to Ohio, I'll be sure to go.
He is! Good guess. His setup is really really nice. I think Casey Neistat is a big influence. It really is a nice spot to visit. You'd never guess it was in Ohio. :)
It's pretty cool seeing younger people getting a little exposure to hiking. I know you've been there a lot so I'm sure you've heard of Emma Gatewood. Have you read the book Grandma Gatewoods Walk?
I know it. I actually had more fun watching them discover that places like this exist than hiking this time. I have read that but it's been a while.
I bet the young guns were blown away by that place! You know how you're the King of PT's... I am now naming you the Ambassador of Hocking Hills! Great video Tim!
Ha! They were big fans for sure. They had pretty much the same reaction I did when I was there.
I just went there for thanksgiving and we didn’t do half the ones that we always do because it was raining
OMG I LOVE HOCKING HILLS EVERY TIME I GO UP THERE WE GO THERE AND THE CLIFF JUMPING AND CABINS ITS GREAT
Where is the cliff jumping?
Not sure where you camped at, but would recommend Top o' the Caves , path to walk to ash cave, and cedar falls.
Didn't camp this time but thanks for that recommendation. We've always camped at the canoe livery close to Rockbridge.
The wife and I got married at Ash Cave and we hiked the trail 7-8 times before our trip to Iceland!
That's a really nice spot. Congratulations!
The bridge trail is no longer available to the public 😭😭
Man, that is a ridiculous amount of people at some of those locations. Awesome shot @5:08 .. Looks like your cousin is set up nice with some camera gear!
These places get SUPER crowded on nice summer days :( It's a very short drive from central Ohio so many come.
Yea, he's a vlogs occasionally. Casey Neistat's influence. :)
Indeed. I try to visit on weekdays or when I know it's going to rain a little. Cuts down on the crowds significantly. Weekends can be C-R-A-Z-Y. Some videos I've seen just have droves of people.
looks like someone is following in your footsteps Tim. does he have a channel? its a beautiful spot!
i clicked it a few times but it says an error occurred...
You're right! Here's his latest video. ruclips.net/video/r9nLcEIqpQw/видео.html
just now saw this bro.. on my way over.
How long of a hike is it to old man's cave? This is going to be my first time!
Enjoy! If you just want to see the cave it'll be 5 minutes. :)
@@TimWatsonOutdoors how much would u say was the overall time took to cover all the spots u covered?
There's mushrooms in them there woods 😊
I still have never been to hocking hills... one of these days! Ps your camera quality is amazing. What is it?
I think he is still using the iphone 7. It does make a very good quality video!
You have to do it! Try for a weekday if you can. I think you'd be put off by the weekend crowds. Bob is right. It's the iphone 7 believe it or not. No image correction or color correction in post either. What you see is straight from the camera and compressed by youtube.
Oh yeah, I subbed you
Welcome!
What's the best time to visit Hocking hills?
Summer when it’s supposed to rain/is raining. It’s warm, cuts down on people and the flow of the falls is amazing.
@@TimWatsonOutdoors Thanks! Planning a drive to Hocking hills this summer then. Looking forward to it!
Can u get in the water?
No. There are signs saying not to. Of course some people ignore that.
I've lived in ohio my whole life and I've always wanted to go so I'm going this weekend is there anything I need to know or need to pack? Thank you for the video as well amazing!
Thanks, nothing special, good shoes, water and food! Enjoy!!
Technically, they are first cousins, once removed. I recently got told that after referring to my cousin's kids as second cousins. I usually just call them my little cousins, even though some of them are married with children :D Of course, what really matters is that you guys had fun.
Ha, good to know. They had a good time. Makes me want to hike with kids this age more often. They were as awestruck as I was which was nice to see.
i was trying to recall how it went, thought that was it.. i had a lot of "removeds" in my family
