As I wrote previously is a pity that only now the musical talent of Sammartini is spread through the Accademia d’Arcadia action. Bravissimo to the father’s of Symphonies for your outstanding art.

Sammartini is the latest musical incarnation to amaze me! Some incarnations were identified with elimination of evil practices from this world while others were for introduction of new order of life, according to Hindu mythology. But Sammartini had incarnated for teaching the everlasting beauties of his variety of classical music. Gracias your music has not failed to enrich my musical tastes. Thanks BC for introducing me to the fantastic music of the comparatively little known composer.

Obrigado e saudações do Brasil.

The Sammartini's symphonies have also inspired Mozart during his stay in Italy, and after the return to Salzburg he composed a series of symphonies where we feel the italianism texture

Bellissima! Josef Mysliveček (1737 - 1781) considered Sammartini to be "the father of Haydn's style"! Sammartini's middle period (1740-1758) is regarded as his most significant and pioneering, during which his compositions in the galant style of music foreshadow the Classical era to come. Christoph Willibald Gluck was his student from 1737 to 1741. They respected him and corresponded with him: J.C. Bach, Mozart, Boccherini...

Myslivecek made his well-known remark ‘I have found the father of Haydn’s style’ to Giuseppe Carpani (1752-1825) after hearing a Sammartini symphony, probably in 1780.
Carpani then later used this anecdote in his biography of Haydn - Le Haydine, ovvero lettere su la vita e le opere del celebre maestro Giuseppe Haydn (Milan 1812).
Carpani - who knew everyone including Haydn, Mozart, Salieri, Beethoven, and Rossini - also retailed this story viva voce, and thus it was that Griesinger when gathering material for his biography raised the matter with Haydn.
Haydn told Griesinger that he knew some of Sammartini’s music, but dismissed him as a ‘scribbler’ (‘Schmierer’), and the biographer continues:
‘He [Haydn] laughed heartily when I came out with Myslivecek’s supposed discovery, and said he recognised only Emanuel Bach [CPE Bach] as his prototype’.
Carpani’s Le Haydine is the third of the three early biographies of Haydn following those of Griesinger and Dies (both 1810), but it is generally considered to be more chatty, and less factually accurate.
Le Haydine does however contain material not found elsewhere, and has some interesting and prescient thoughts, perhaps not surprising as his list of contacts - besides the composers listed above - also included Johann Elssler, Friberth, Griesinger, Martinez, Pichl, van Swieten, and others who all knew Haydn well.
I have a copy of Le Haydine in the original Italian, but do not think there is an English translation.
Hope that’s of interest to yourself, and to anyone else passing by.

Samartini was before joseph haydn of and was highly respected in europe but he is never mentioned by the music elite.whether its becayse haydn was considered this great composer or its to hide the fact that these composers influenced haydn and posibly mozart and to aomehow let people believe thst haydn created the symphony all by himself and is this great genius along with mozart and to establish mans genius and greatness and to establish their enlightenment bull.i know that haydns music is more complex and he puts more thought, instruments, techniques ,but i find haydns techniques annoying and things arent perfect regardless of all his techniques.samartinis music is simpler, but things seem much more in place and i van relax more listening to it.
