- hi i spend a lot of time making these small films of when the days were a lot different. most of the photos are from old books or old post cards. i love doing this to show you how life was way back then. some people can not buy books or find things to do with local history so this is why i have done this for all of you.
i do not do this to make money in any way, it is just for free so i do hope you all like the small films i do as it takes a long time to do. i did use to live in SW London but now moved to bucks where i find this is much better for me and my family.

I used to like Hammersmith back in the 60's & 70's. Bloody hate it now though.
Great pics. I am from the Bush. Mum still lives there. I go back all the time, love the Bush and Hammersmith
Where have u moved to sue?
I’m Hammersmith born and bred but I can’t afford a bike shed now let alone a house ,thank God for social housing ,
Great photos. Like everywhere in London changes and flat building has not been for the better.
palaise gone pie and eel shop gone its not the same but i still have my memories of how it was. wont even visit it any more
Hammersmith was very alive & colourful place, where I spent my youth.
thanks for that. I have to say what the planners have done to Hammersmith in the last 30 or so years is quite criminal. there's very little to like there now.
Except Hammersmith bridge: The finest bridge in London and look what they have done to it.
White city dog track, and the George pub Hammersmith, where I spent my youth 👍
Looks great not the shit hole it is today
Did you use to go to wood lane school 1970s

Hi Jason, thanks for the upload. Can I post this on a facebook page I've created, mainly about Historic Hammersmith Hospital?

I’am a Hammersmith boy. From 1958 to 1984. Great times around the broadway & river as a kid
Same here. 1959 to 2005 and I too spent many many years at the boatyard near to Hammersmith Bridge.
Hello Eric.
Moved down river to Putney in 1984. Still hear .sometimes I take a walk along the toe path to Hammersmith across the bridge , great memories.
