If I look directly into the lens, it ends up looking in the video like I’m looking too far to the left, and it still doesn’t seem like I’m looking directly at the viewer. Thank you for your understanding.

I quit one week ago today. I’m 68 and did two packs a day for a long time. Look at yourself as “smoke free” rather than an ex-smoker. Try not to feel deprived. I got lucky. I went to a retreat where smoking was prohibited unless you wanted to leave the grounds. So I did. At night, up in the mountains of California…..nope…I knew there were bears there and I was too scared to stay out there. When I got back, I did 2 a day until I got rid of them and then I was done. I figured if I did without for the retreat, I could continue to do it.

I tried to stop a few times and failed. Eventually I stopped by having a cold and feeling breathless. I kept putting off having a cigarette for a couple of hours…..then when a couple of hours passed I realised it wasn’t hard so I did it again. Suddenly I realised a couple of days had passed and I still continued leaving it for a couple of hours. After a while I knew I’d never go bad. It’s been at least 7 years now.
I hope everyone who wants to quit manage it ❤

I used to smoke about 10 years ago, something devine happen.
One day i went to light the cigarette as i always did. I lit it and as soon as i took an inhale as i always did, i immediately puked🤮
I thought WTF? So i tried again, nope! The body just rejected it! I did nothing. The body did it for me. I haven't smoked a cigarette since. 🙏❤️💫

I don't smoke, but I'd LOVE to stop my addiction to chocolate which feels just as intense as I imagine smoking would be.
"I don't identify with this." I love that.

It's the sugar, not the chocolate. Sugar addiction is worse than cocaine addiction. Healing comes from within, with time. Take care.

I started taking magnesium, especially topically. No more chocolate cravings.

I gave up smoking just by reading the facts on how easy is was... its as simple as saying no to the inner voice, until the inner voice quits asking for it.

brother, you not even know how this helped me.. This - “don’t make it a big deal” made me vow. I was ALWAYS constantly think about how much my life would change if i stop, that it is my main purpose, that this is ALL, i kind of started worship it Astafirullah, i was identifying myself as someone who is trying to quit (more than this, i cant explain but this was really heavy). And my purpose was like stop and thats why i feel become “awakened”, like only this will make me awakened after some time, and i always counted days and waited for this “awakened” feeling but it didn’t come so i felt like it newer come… And also the main and first problem - I was AFRAID to face this empty feeling, i tried to avoid thinking about nicotine constantly, for me it was - i thinking or facing empty feeling - and this will lead to relapse bow or in the future, cause if i think of it it means i’m addict and i will relapse anyway so why not relapse now.
    I now understand -
    1. don’t make it a big deal, just follow the deeper intelligence 2. stop afraid of empty feeling, face and investigate it
    3. Focus on regeneration, feel it, empty feeling is a regeneration by itself, so just accept it, stop afraid and avoid it.
    4. Rewatched the video so update) - The problem is not the nicotine, i smoke cause i try to hide this void, i don’t want to face it. So face it, this void is not only craving for nicotine (as some books says) yes, nicotine created it, but it is not only the withdrawal (thats why many relapse after quiting for a long period), so face it, investigate it, understand it
I’m so much owe you for this, God bless you, i will pray this video will get a lot of views and help not only me but others. Thank you so much, brother, i don’t say i will quit right now but i’m now sure that it is very close and God (which is deep intelligence by itself;)) will make it for me. I will let you know in future, Thank you again!

I personally had great success with allen carr‘s „the easy way to stop smoking“😊i think the message is more or less what you say also, while reading the book you should get the feeling that you already quit and smoking is no longer a thing..worked for me!

Thank you very much! I quit smoking too after many attempts. I was just confident and knew I could do it on on my own , without the help of my best= worst nicotinefriend… I get easily addicted to things….. I still have problems to eat less and to choose healthy things…. Eating less is a being confronted with restlessness, fear, emptyness. I act really impulsive and often the thing I want / (do not want) to eat is already in my mouth. And then I feel quilty and angry at myself. And then I eat some more, because I gave up or I give myself some excuse to eat more….I don’t want to fight myself again and go info resistance, because then the only thing on my mind during the day is eating: what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat,… I get totally obsessed with my weight, food and my weakness to resist It. It was the same when I quit smoking. But you can live without cigarettes, but not without food. But that is also an excuse 😉
I’m scared of hunger, of lacking something, of lacking comfort. I’m scared to burry my old identification as someone who like to eat ( too much, to sweet, to fat).
Maybe you can help me with that. Thank you so much. 🙏🤗

Almost everything in this world can be explained with science - the chemicals in the brain, desire etc. how can I find trust that there is more than matter and that we are more than the brain and that consciousness is beyond this body / brain and matter?
