I bought a used Baby Lock Sophia last Christmas. I’m VERY happy with it so far - the only thing I’m having trouble with is getting a good, 1/4” seam allowance for straight stitching. The manual is very comprehensive, and I’ve had much success with my sewing projects.
I bought my machine awhile back and I bought it for the embroidery. I am a quilter but I have enjoyed the embroidery program. I have purchased a program to make quilt labels on it. If I can ever understand the program I am sure I will love it as the instructions aren’t very clear. I really needed a refresher on this machine as I have a Brother that I normally sew on. Thanks
Thanks so much!!! I brought Sofia2 a few years ago and I'm a beginner. I paid so much more (almost double😒) lol but I love Sofia2!!! I believe it's perfect esp. for a beginner. You have helped me so much🤗🤗🤗!!! Is there a easy way of making large fonts without changing to embroidery🤔??? Please keep talking about Sofia2😉, I would love to have move info!!! Thank you again, I really appreciate it!!! 🤗💖🤗💖🤗💖
I actually ran that bit in fast forward to get through the embroidery a little quicker, I turned the sound off while it was in fast forward, I am glad you liked the video. :)
My machine l babylock sofia2 won't stitch any decorative stitches or alphabets. It only does the very basic stitches. Is that a mechanical or computer problem?
how do you raise and lower the feed dogs? I have misplaced my manual and cannot figure out how to do it and I accidentally lowered them, but don't know how I did it. Thank you for your help.
The switch is round back of the machine if you go into the video about 15 min and 30 seconds I raise the feed dogs back up, and you can see right where the switch is. :)
The reason I watched your tutorial was I m trying to decide if I should buy this model I had a singer 9960. And I just sent it back because of all the problems I had with the tension. Now I back to researching machines
Out of all my machines the most dependable is my Juki F-600. It has never let me down, when it comes to dependability I would say Juki is probably one of the very best. I like my Babylock's because of the features, but they are definitely not as tough as the Juki. The sophia is great for the embroidery, and the thread cutter, but You can buy a brother model that is nearly identical for about half the price.
I can’t find a return button. Example - Handmade by (return) Donn Marie (return) & Natalie. (Return) June 2020. I want to do a simple label. I’m using the smallest font, just can’t find how to return for the next line.
Baby lock has the greatest threader! I have a brilliant and I am thinking about switching it for one of these.

Once you start using it regularly it will be very easy, if you get stumped feel free to ask, and I will try to help.

I haven't been making videos for a while, but when I get started again I will add in a run through of how to on the machine.

Just a FYI at 11:00 to 12:28 you lose your sound. It was a good tutorial and gave good information.

If I had to guess I would say computer issue. I hope you can get it fixed.

Thank you. Need to watch videos all the way through before asking questions. Thanks again.
I will have to take it to the shop, the feed dogs will nor come back up. I know it's probably something I have done. 😩
Well that stinks, good luck with it🙂

thank you for the advice. I thought I had done my homework on the singer and it just let me down
When I really started sewing a lot, I almost bought the same one, but I ended up choosing the Juki.
I’m trying to make. 4 line text label, I cannot find a return for the next line of text. Is this possible on this machine?
Off the top of my head I think it depends on text size, maybe if you go down a size it will work.

How do you use the USB port on the Baby Lock Sophia 2
You use it it load embroidery designs and fonts, through the menu.
Thank you

What size needle do I use when embroidering denim?
I would just use a standard embroidery needle. They are nice and sharp, should go through it just fine.
