Honestly wouldn't surprise me. Beerus panicked when Goku used Kaio-Ken in SSB against Hit. Toppo was at God of Destruction level, or at least close enough to it as he was directly being trained as one. And Jiren was stronger than his universes God of Destruction. The way he said “not quite” I assume it’s still open to the possibility it can be described as his potential unlocked +rage. It’s also confirmed hybrids have more potential than full blooded saiyans because they have more emotions. So I guess you could say it’s leaning towards more of his human side’s potential combined with a saiyan-like transformation.

beerus talking about broly’s transformation vs gohan’s transformation was more about this: broly simply achieved the baseline, general super saiyan state. one that all saiyans can achieve, albeit with the potential to be something special and unique to him. Gohan however, has achieved that very thing. he has molded and sculpted his ki to perfectly fit his body, mind, and spirit. it is something completely unique to him, and like Whis says is not exactly a super saiyan, nor divine technique,, it is gohan achieving complete mastery of himself. when gohan said he’d never seen a super saiyan form with such pure power, i think he was saying this isn’t super saiyan 1, not buff super saiyan, not super saiyan 2, nor 3, nor god, nor blue,,, it is super saiyan, but it has properties unique to its own, and thus the potential to become greater. if Broly learns to master himself just like Gohan has, he will not learn Beast,, but will create his own unique transformation, one that cannot be replicated by anyone, just like Gohan’s Beast transformation. i like it because all of the other things thus far are learnable, as long as you are part of the race they come from, but starting with ki manipulation and the kamehameha wave in og dragon ball, flight, and so on, it is all learnable by everyone. then in Z you have race specific learnable transformations, but still everyone from that race can achieve them with enough hard work or talent. and now in super the same has been true up until now,, super saiyan god, blue, god ki, hakai and destroyer ki, ultra instinct,, they are all learnable. it started with vegeta however, that he realized ultra instinct was something less suited, less tailored for his body and spirit,, and while he could learn it, his effort would be better rewarded finding something that suits himself and his style and ego better. taking into account his own faults and being honest with himself. so we started to see like that yes while different levels are attainable, it might be better to listen to your body, your mind, and spirit, and really take in and analyze all that makes you you, and find something that fits with that,, or now with Gohan and hopefully Broly, create something that is perfectly tailored to it, to you and only you, entirely and that only then do you achieve your full potential,, and it probably opens up even greater paths to power almost reminds me of some of the power themes from Bleach

One important thing pointed out in Vegeta saying "from his experience I'd wager" and also Gohan "breaking through" the ultra instinct, is exposing the limits of Ultra Instinct. "INSTINCT" is how your body reacts without the middle input of "thought". So all that means is Ultra Instinct just used YOUR INSTINCT to it's full potential. So his experience makes his ultra instinct more effective but his instincts aren't quick enough for Beast. Similar to Sasuke's "limits" when he first learned the sharingan and fought Lee. He saw the movement, but he wasn't able to react because his body wasn't trained to do that, even though he was MENTALLY able to keep up.

Hell we still don't even have a good read on how strong Gohan is right now compared to the other Saiyans, all of those fights were inconclusive. All we can say for sure right now is that Gohan is in the same league as Goku, Vegeta and Broly now. We have no idea how they actually rank against each other, especially since Goku, Vegeta and Broly have all been training on Beerus's planet between the Granola Arc and now. At best, Beast Gohan might be _related_ to the Super Saiyan forms, but it's clearly not a "Super Saiyan" form itself. I think Gohan specifically said in the tournament of power that he wanted to fight/evolve "as a human" so I'd wager it's only attainable by a hybrid, maybe specifically a Human/Saiyan hybrid, but I won't just state that as a fact. It's also pretty widely assumed that Beast is probably related to Gohan's Ultimate form, and Ultimate _definitely_ isn't a Super Saiyan form. Maybe it's a combination of the two, similar to how Super Saiyan Blue is a combination of SSG and Super Saiyan. But flat out calling it a "Super Saiyan" form after everything that's been said just seems wrong.

Brolys 'beserk super saiyan' is like a pure bred saiyans raw power. While beast gohan has 'latent potential' power probably because his half breed saiyan. Similar too trunks in black goku saga with that latent potantial out of nowhere.

I believe it. 10:35 Whis already said it is NOT "QUITE" A SUPER SAIYAN FORM + NOT A DIVINE TECHNIQUE + SINGULAR TALENT, ALL HIS OWN... Gohan's potential has been unlocked so he is a SUPER SAIYAN-HUMAN. A Hybrid. I think we can safely call SUPER SAIYAMAN. This means Trunks and Goten can also achieve this form since they are also saiyan-human hybrids. If the pure saiyans get their potential unlocked, it would be a different form specific only for saiyans. Goku and Vegeta may transform a lot similar to Broly. Universe 6 saiyans evolved without the tails. For Universe 7 saiyans, other than the tails, the hybrids are a brand new race. Goku and Vegeta now knows there is a non-divine level they can still reach. I imagine they will reach it as well then combine it with at least divine ki and techniques. But what happens to Broly next??
toriyama was building the "perfect warrior" within his lore, focusing on studies more than fighting. (Mental, Physical, Spiritual) his climax without god ki is ultimate, so he doesn't want to keep training in that level nor does he want to. And he preferred studies to be "like a human", as stated in the manga, so he has the Mental and the Physical unification. Then, the DBS: Super Heroes movie took place, and in that movie, the "beast" inside gohan "woke up", reaching a unification within him, giving him the spiritual unification; Giving him that Overpowered strength, and maybe transformation. So, most likely, if he had chosen NOT to study, he would've not gotten the transformation or, atleast, not this much power in it. (which means that the transformation is the true essence of Gohan, his unique transformation)

Also Broly remembers his fights in the broly movie its never stated he got amnesia or lost his memories. 13:16 This panel basically confirms the fight was a tie no one won or lost and goku even says he wasn't fighting to beat gohan which is true since he didn't even use his Susano technique. I'm just assuming broly has a higher grade of normal super saiyan which allows him to stack up to goku and the others at this point. No where it was stated that black frieza is the strongest as compared to gohan.. bf knocked out tui goku & theres a time skip which implies that mui goku's form is more durable, faster & stronger.. he can even delve deeper to ultra instinct currently due to his continouos training. Bf didn't even left goku & vegeta unconcious. They are more like shocked or surprised cause they have zero knowledge of frieza's overall power. This form was foreshadowed as Gohan saying he wants to reach a power beyond of what he currently have, and Ultimate Gohan is just his absolute peak as in transformation. So I have 3 theoryes. BEAST Gohan is either: - TRUE Ultimate Gohan, using not just the King Kai's power but also his Saiyan latent and adaptative (Saiyans growing whole transformations otu of God Ki which nobody else can) Power. Or - An Actual Saiyan Transformation, born from King Kai's power. Again, similar to how Saiyans are affected by God Ki. Or - An upgraded Potential Unleashed, not related to saiyans. The First Two are technically the same thing, but under a different application. But the backing I have to the Third, is Xenoverse 2 making Beast Mode an form for every Race. And how the original Saiyan Trio (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan) all fittingly having non-Saiyan forms as their final evolutions, and all from divine forms (King Kai's for Gohan and God Ki for Goku n Vegeta)...

Beast is not a Super Saiyan form. It's confirmed by Whis. He says "not quite" meaning it's a transformation, but not the same as a traditional Super Saiyan transformation. It's different. ie. NOT a Super Saiyan form. It's purposefully designed to be different and distinguishable from Super Saiyan. Beast is closer to an evolution of the Ultimate form, than it is to Super Saiyan. I don't think we should be spreading misinformation when the facts are right in front of us.

Haven’t caught up with the super for like 2 years now. Man so they gave gohan another easy ultimate power for no reason like his ultimate form. You know what the hardest thing to accept in this series is. The premise of super since that movie was that no matter how hard u trained, no matter what u learned in dbz as a fighter it is meaningless against beruss and u need god ki to transcend. Hence goku gets owned ss3 etc.. and needs god mode. Then the series starts and all other db cast get powerups with no need of god ki and rivals that of goku of vegeta who has trained their entire lives was said to not be good enough. And to make matters worse they made goku absorb his god mode into this base and then went super saiyan and fought beruss for the rest of the fight in movie. Which forced the writers to give powerups left right and centre to have series. None of it makes any sense and the single reason why db now is reduced to a former shell of its former glory. This gohan and broly crap is just yet another extension to shit box writing thats based on the flawed premise set in motion since the movie many years ago. And sadly there’s nothing the writers can do the damage is done. You simply cant get into the series and be vested in the story. Boruto is in the same state.
my own theory. THE REAL ANSWER: Its mentioned Gohans BEAST form is neither super saiyan or Divine ( angelic ). so what is it? as the name suggests, its a BEAST ( animal ), but what kind? the type that lives inside all saiyans DNA. The Great Apes ( Oozaru's ). Broly also draws his power from such DNA being filled with so much S Cells. The more S cells a saiyans has in birth, the more likely he is to be the type to gain immense amounts of power to the point of loosing control, something which both Broly and Gohan share in common. But Gohan as mastered his rage thanks to Picolo training him for so many years.

beerus talking about broly’s transformation vs gohan’s transformation was more about this: broly simply achieved the baseline, general super saiyan state. one that all saiyans can achieve, albeit with the potential to be something special and unique to him. Gohan however, has achieved that very thing. he has molded and sculpted his ki to perfectly fit his body, mind, and spirit. it is something completely unique to him, and like Whis says is not exactly a super saiyan, nor divine technique,, it is gohan achieving complete mastery of himself.
when gohan said he’d never seen a super saiyan form with such pure power, i think he was saying this isn’t super saiyan 1, not buff super saiyan, not super saiyan 2, nor 3, nor god, nor blue,,, it is super saiyan, but it has properties unique to its own, and thus the potential to become greater. if Broly learns to master himself just like Gohan has, he will not learn Beast,, but will create his own unique transformation, one that cannot be replicated by anyone, just like Gohan’s Beast transformation.
i like it because all of the other things thus far are learnable, as long as you are part of the race they come from, but starting with ki manipulation and the kamehameha wave in og dragon ball, flight, and so on, it is all learnable by everyone. then in Z you have race specific learnable transformations, but still everyone from that race can achieve them with enough hard work or talent. and now in super the same has been true up until now,, super saiyan god, blue, god ki, hakai and destroyer ki, ultra instinct,, they are all learnable. it started with vegeta however, that he realized ultra instinct was something less suited, less tailored for his body and spirit,, and while he could learn it, his effort would be better rewarded finding something that suits himself and his style and ego better. taking into account his own faults and being honest with himself.
so we started to see like that yes while different levels are attainable, it might be better to listen to your body, your mind, and spirit, and really take in and analyze all that makes you you, and find something that fits with that,, or now with Gohan and hopefully Broly, create something that is perfectly tailored to it, to you and only you, entirely
and that only then do you achieve your full potential,, and it probably opens up even greater paths to power

Goku blew Gohan away with one hand like it was nothing and then stopped the fight. That to me says Goku was literally just testing Gohan. At the level Gohan was just fighting and Goku stopped him in his tracks is what everyone keeps skipping.

One important thing pointed out in Vegeta saying "from his experience I'd wager" and also Gohan "breaking through" the ultra instinct, is exposing the limits of Ultra Instinct. "INSTINCT" is how your body reacts without the middle input of "thought". So all that means is Ultra Instinct just used YOUR INSTINCT to it's full potential. So his experience makes his ultra instinct more effective but his instincts aren't quick enough for Beast. Similar to Sasuke's "limits" when he first learned the sharingan and fought Lee. He saw the movement, but he wasn't able to react because his body wasn't trained to do that, even though he was MENTALLY able to keep up.

At best, Beast Gohan might be _related_ to the Super Saiyan forms, but it's clearly not a "Super Saiyan" form itself. I think Gohan specifically said in the tournament of power that he wanted to fight/evolve "as a human" so I'd wager it's only attainable by a hybrid, maybe specifically a Human/Saiyan hybrid, but I won't just state that as a fact. It's also pretty widely assumed that Beast is probably related to Gohan's Ultimate form, and Ultimate _definitely_ isn't a Super Saiyan form. Maybe it's a combination of the two, similar to how Super Saiyan Blue is a combination of SSG and Super Saiyan. But flat out calling it a "Super Saiyan" form after everything that's been said just seems wrong.

I think we can safely call SUPER SAIYAMAN. This means Trunks and Goten can also achieve this form since they are also saiyan-human hybrids. If the pure saiyans get their potential unlocked, it would be a different form specific only for saiyans. Goku and Vegeta may transform a lot similar to Broly. Universe 6 saiyans evolved without the tails. For Universe 7 saiyans, other than the tails, the hybrids are a brand new race.
Goku and Vegeta now knows there is a non-divine level they can still reach. I imagine they will reach it as well then combine it with at least divine ki and techniques.

his climax without god ki is ultimate, so he doesn't want to keep training in that level nor does he want to. And he preferred studies to be "like a human", as stated in the manga, so he has the Mental and the Physical unification.
Then, the DBS: Super Heroes movie took place, and in that movie, the "beast" inside gohan "woke up", reaching a unification within him, giving him the spiritual unification; Giving him that Overpowered strength, and maybe transformation.
So, most likely, if he had chosen NOT to study, he would've not gotten the transformation or, atleast, not this much power in it. (which means that the transformation is the true essence of Gohan, his unique transformation)

Also Broly remembers his fights in the broly movie its never stated he got amnesia or lost his memories. 13:16 This panel basically confirms the fight was a tie no one won or lost and goku even says he wasn't fighting to beat gohan which is true since he didn't even use his Susano technique. No where it was stated that black frieza is the strongest as compared to gohan.. bf knocked out tui goku & theres a time skip which implies that mui goku's form is more durable, faster & stronger.. he can even delve deeper to ultra instinct currently due to his continouos training. This form was foreshadowed as Gohan saying he wants to reach a power beyond of what he currently have, and Ultimate Gohan is just his absolute peak as in transformation.
So I have 3 theoryes.
BEAST Gohan is either:
- TRUE Ultimate Gohan, using not just the King Kai's power but also his Saiyan latent and adaptative (Saiyans growing whole transformations otu of God Ki which nobody else can) Power.
Or
- An Actual Saiyan Transformation, born from King Kai's power. Again, similar to how Saiyans are affected by God Ki.
Or
- An upgraded Potential Unleashed, not related to saiyans.
The First Two are technically the same thing, but under a different application.
But the backing I have to the Third, is Xenoverse 2 making Beast Mode an form for every Race. And how the original Saiyan Trio (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan) all fittingly having non-Saiyan forms as their final evolutions, and all from divine forms (King Kai's for Gohan and God Ki for Goku n Vegeta)...

NOT a Super Saiyan form. It's purposefully designed to be different and distinguishable from Super Saiyan. Beast is closer to an evolution of the Ultimate form, than it is to Super Saiyan. I don't think we should be spreading misinformation when the facts are right in front of us.

Haven’t caught up with the super for like 2 years now.
Man so they gave gohan another easy ultimate power for no reason like his ultimate form.
You know what the hardest thing to accept in this series is.
The premise of super since that movie was that no matter how hard u trained, no matter what u learned in dbz as a fighter it is meaningless against beruss and u need god ki to transcend. Hence goku gets owned ss3 etc.. and needs god mode.
Then the series starts and all other db cast get powerups with no need of god ki and rivals that of goku of vegeta who has trained their entire lives was said to not be good enough.

THE REAL ANSWER: Its mentioned Gohans BEAST form is neither super saiyan or Divine ( angelic ).
so what is it? as the name suggests, its a BEAST ( animal ), but what kind? the type that lives inside all saiyans DNA. The Great Apes ( Oozaru's ). Broly also draws his power from such DNA being filled with so much S Cells. The more S cells a saiyans has in birth, the more likely he is to be the type to gain immense amounts of power to the point of loosing control, something which both Broly and Gohan share in common.
But Gohan as mastered his rage thanks to Picolo training him for so many years.
