I was eatin' pleah sach ko almost every day in Srok Khmer the other month. Tasty as hell... but they put a different kinda pepper in it, WAY hotter than jalapeno. They're tiny, too, about the size of a pill. Called it "miteh kmang." My mom said it translates to "enemy pepper." Hot as hell.
I really admire the relationship between you and your mom. I remember watching your vids awhile back, did you get a new camcorder? lol. Anyway I think you should keep doing these vids; not just for the viewers but for your mom too. I think she enjoys it plus its a great way for you guys to strengthen that mother-son bond. Thank you and tell your mom "aw kown ming!"
I love your mom!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every video in your channel is a hit, and I've become a better Khmer cook watching your mom. I agree with all your fans we enjoy the dialogue between you and your mom. It brings a home feel experience to the show which is what cooking and good foods is all about--sharing the experience with friends and family.
Could you please ask your mom if this classic dish typically requires the fermented fish paste (prohok)?
thanks for posting this video up cuz i been wanting to make this over da past weekend.. keep da video coming!!
I loves ur video, please make more. I wanted to learn to cook
Quick question: Is the beef cooked slightly or 100% raw ?
p.s. Love these videos. Always tried to learn from my grandmother but always kind of tricky at times. haha . You have a wonderful mother. Tell her that one of your viewers thanks her greatly. Much love down here in Dallas,TX.
Your Mom is very sweet! Tell her that I enjoy her videos very much.
Hm, havent had it like this before with the beef blood. Looks interesting, im use to using pahok and I like booh cow (tripe) in mine
I've made this today, can't believe it's so easy and delish! Thank you both!!
How did you manage to lose weights from all your mums delicious food? You look really good, keep it up ;)
Wow, thanks for sharing. I will definitely try it.
Anything lean, like london broil works great.
In the video she says that you can grill/bbq the meat if you would like and then thinly slice it. Although the way she does it here, the beef is so tender.
I love your mom foods omg so good thanks you ! ;)
It looks nice. I remember my friends told me about this traditional cuisine in our village but unfortunately i'm a vegetarian (brahman), haha. Thanks anyway I enjoy looking at people having different kind of taste in food. The spices could still be applied in other recipes : D
I love the all the vids. I really appreciate what you and your mom are doing. I can't wait to try these recipes :)
Thank you and your mama show us how to prepare our Khmer traditional food. May I ask what of of your mama came from of our native home land?
Looks great you guys! No matter where you are from Mom's cooking is the best. I make a similar dish called yum seen in Lao and it's similar to plea sach ko, but we grill the beef just a little bit to get a char and smoky flavor to the beef. It's delicious. I'll have to try Mom's recipe for plea sach ko. Thanks alot bernymac20 and Mom! Thanks for the English subtitles for Mom too! :D
your mom is the best!! i want your mom!!
I love this recipe its soooooo good!

Your mom is so adorable :) love your channel the Food looks amazing great Job.
That looks good but I don't think I can pull it off like mom :) Can I come over everytime she makes a dish ? J/K Lol !!
Its definitely raw! As you can see, it looks cooked mainly because you squeeze out all of the blood so it loses its color.

I can think of a lot of different ways my mother and I make eggs. What do you consider an asian omelet? We do have an egg omelet with fish eggs.
If you put a little anchovies dissolve in the broth it’s so good

Thanks. Love your video.
She usually doesn't want to be on camera but I think she isn't that camera shy anymore so we will have to do that!
We have a few that take a couple of weeks for the finished product. Like mam lahong. And others as well. Thanks for watching.
