    nice soundscape with those awesome little kastles , i can really see the appeal of having all that sound in a small box when you can mix 5 of them with an equally as small box :)

    nice demos
    I love the Bastl modular stuff - I also have the Microgranny, Kastle and Kastle Drum
    I held off on the Dude since it is mono only, but almost got it until I heard all the audible clicks the mute buttons generate :-(
    that is unfortunate - instead I could easily add multi function mute bar to my existing portable mixers with some basic (or multi-position) switches and jacks, much like the mutes on my Befaco Hexmix mixer - 3 positions: mute, momentary, open

    Have you tried a feedback loop on the Dude? It turns it into a great sounding overdrive. Put a Y splitter on the line out and run a patch cable into an open channel.

      Yes! 😁 Very interesting feature for sure. 👍 Thanks.

    Great demo! Could you point me in the right direction to picking up some of those coloured nylon patch cables you were using with the POs? They look like just what I need.

    Are you able to connect to mixer to an audio interface to record your performance?

    Is it too much to ask for a Volca/PO/Kastle/Dude jam?? It’d be cool to see them all jamming together. I’m saving up for a Kastle and a dude to go along with my Volca Sample/FM and Pocket Operator. I’m hoping I can plug the dude into the line in of my Roland GO Mixer so I can use the other inputs for my JU-06, guitar and mic.

      Definitely NOT too much to ask. Lol 😉 I will certainly try and make this happen soon. Thanks for the idea.
      And I am sure you could use the DUDE as a sub/add-on mixer for your current mixer to free up some channels. I have done this with my mixer already without any issues. 👍

    Hi man, quick question - have you tried to sync pocket operators and kastle but use kaste as a slave in this combo?

  • @cosmiclove155

    Hi, nice jam! Quick question, how do you sync the pocket operators when their outputs are directly going to the input of the dude? I'm looking to buy one too but I'm stuck with this problem...

    • @gaeel330

      You can use a splitter cable like the one used in the video to get two outs from the Kastle. Use the left side to sync to another PO, and the right into your mixer

    From 4:21 on are you adding an outboard reverb or other effect? I don't get that spacey kinda sound out of my Kastle. Same at 5:39, it sounds like you're applying some kind of reverb and/or chorus. You might want to note that in your comments so as not to fool viewers into thinking you can get that kind of sound just out of the Kastle alone. Just saying.

    • @littleBIGsynths
      @littleBIGsynths  5 лет назад +1

      Yes! There is a Boss RV-6 reverb pedal being used in later parts of the video. I tend to start of demos off with the raw sounds and then later begin to explore the sounds the way I would use them in a real setup/scenario (eg. With effects or accompanied by other gear)
      It was certainly not my intention to fool anyone. However, I do understand how it could possibly be misleading to some people, and have since started to try and provide more details and notes about what gear is being used in my videos. (Either in the video description or the video itself). Sorry for the confusion.
      Thanks for the feedback. I hope you enjoyed the video. 🙂

      @@littleBIGsynths No worries, I was mostly just curious as to how you got that sound. I kind of feel like my Kastle sounds a bit too "dry" at times and I've been experimenting with adding delay and fuzz to it. I'm still learning how to use it on its own in the first place so I'm looking at a lot of videos. Yours is quite good! Maybe I'll try tacking on some reverb myself.

    Can 2 Dudes be um 😎 linked together?

    • @littleBIGsynths
      @littleBIGsynths  6 лет назад

      They dont have a dedicated link output/feature... but I'm sure they could. Just take the output of the first unit and send it to a channel on the second unit. 😉👍
