softPop - psychedelic analog noise creature
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 июл 2017
- softPop is a playfully organic, semi-modular light and sound synthesizer with wide variety of sounds: from random dripping water pops to heavy subtractive basslines. Its fully analog core consisting of a heavily feedbacked system of dual triangle-core oscillators, state variable filter and sample and hold is played through an intuitive interface of 6 faders that provide countless combinations which can be explored by anyone.

PEOPLE ARE RE-SELLING ALL THE OTHER STUFF YOU MAKE, BUT EVERYONE WHO HAS A SOFTPOP IS HOLIDNG ONTO THEM. THIS IS YOUR WINNER, FOCUS ON MAKING IT AVAILABLE!!!!!!
Check their Facebook, v2 coming soon.
Yeah... I don't want a softpop2... I want the original so I can connect to things like the Kastle Drum, Kastle V1.5, and my Volca Modular.
2 won’t do this ?
@SonicVibe I don't think it uses the same patch cables. But what do i know?
Lovely video! Plus you've got like the perfect voiceover voice!
with the microphone you recommended - signature cuckoo voice style
Bastl Instruments no way! Cool. It sounds great with Peter's voice!
Ha! Thanks ;)
Lol, I thought the exact same thing
This is true, excellent narration!
10/10: would annoy wife to the point of divorce.
Krog Shmolgor 😆😆😂😂
Krog Shmolgor is that a bad thing?
Hey, if she isn't into analog synths then she can hit the bricks : )
Not necessarily! I wish I had a husband who'd "annoy" me and buy synths :(
RIP your inbox
Incredible. Been anxiously awaiting this sucker since I saw demos on a few thousand channels 👍
This is great. All of it. Super cool what came out of that prototype. Especially happy that the coloured light made it.
I love this! Good narration, great demonstration, and an overall cute atmosphere that I really appreciate.
Finally a video that goes directly to the point without long and annoing presentations! Also very interesting sounds.
What a great box Peter! The concept and possibilities look stunning.
You damn animals! Why'd you have to go and discontinue this thing. It looks like so much fun and it's so rare to see sliders on a modular synth that size.
They just posted on their Facebook page about an upcoming v2!
@@jonasbarka YEAH I JUST SAW THIS - SO HYPED.
@@jonasbarka the dysmetria is really dope too but you have to put it together and that seems really difficult and other dread box gear have sliders
I’m a sucker for a slider.
DAng, this really covers all the bases, from power to CV. I love that horizon and sun design so flippin' much! What a wonderful creature. Thank you for introducing us to this new friend.
it sounds A N G E R Y
It sounds like Y E E T
UGUUUU HELLO MY MAN
Sometimes. Other times when I let it play, it sounds thoughtful, silly, happy, or afraid.
Mine just came today. I'm in love with it. It fits nicely somewhere in-between my love for my OP-1 and my 0-Coast. It's so very portable like the OP-1, but has this wild analog unpredictability of the 0-Coast.
Like their Kastle, but much more musical and analog psychedelic. It's so cool just to carry it around and create these bubbly soundscapes. It's destined to become one of my favorite synths of all time. Not for everyone. A classic case of YMMV.
But it's also an ingenious interactive art object.
This is a beautiful box. Seriously, the case design with its runes is a work of art! I’m struggling with whether to order one - it looks loads of fun, but the price is above my insta-buy limit, and my wish-list is already so long...
I know nothing about how to use modular synths but this makes me want to.
Same here. Hey if you learn more shout my name. Lol I would love to learn more but don't know where to start
Loved the graphics !
Great work Peter! Can't wait to see what Casper and Bastl holds for the future!
more craziness!
Great idea, great implementation, great sound. Killer!
This all sounds great.
Thank you for creating interesting instruments like this!
thanks! Its a challenging path since it doesn't meet many people ideas of "music". But its a big wild world out there and there's so much to explore so we'll keep searching and sharing what we find. Thanks for the support.
Sounds so good
Starting to plan a modular picnic for this autumn.
me too!
the 'picnic jam' at the 4 min mark (this vid) is lovely
That little acid demo with the PO-12 is really impressive. I like the way the signal's resonance is ducking the beat.
really awesome!
They’re fucking discontinued, I just found out about this fucking beauty and it’s gone
Whoa! Awesome!!
got a hell lotta of ideas for my music thanks for the video I love it!
Love these sounds
Probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen
Wow! This is fuckin great!
Love the part with the PO-12
Sounds just lovely! :D
AH! This is excellent!
very nice with the 0-coast!
i love this!
nice work broth!
Holy crud. This is amazing, you guys are on fire! Gimme :D
great video !
The softPop is amazing !!! next in the rig with the Dude too.
I totally need one of these!
I can't wait to get my hands on one of these.
This thing is awesome. Can have lots of fun with this little gem.
Very nice indeed. Must get one! I find sliders much more expressive than pots. The way they are moved and also the visual representation is easier to reference.
This actually sounds really good, almost fully oldskool.
Just ordered mine, don't have a ship date which makes me nervous, but I am besides myself in excitement to start making music with this beautiful beast.
For somthing so small, it sounds so amazing
Analog goodies (0:39) that phrase... I love it !
0:02 Slint - Spiderland (remastered)
ha! exactly ;)
I really like the idea of simply using breadboard-style jumper cables as the modulation routing wires. I think I'll incorporate that into my own DIY system -- which I'm just starting, so good point to decide ;)
That's gotta be cheaper than 1/8" or banana cables. And easy peasy to simply make.
Very nice
What a dreamy box !
amazing
I LOVE THIS!!!
very cool
The setup at the end is so gorgeous. I really loved my bitRanger, rather miss it now that it's sister has been birthed!
Brilliant
2:19 I'm sexy and I know it
This is sick
Saw this at Superbooth and I'm completely 100% sold.
Great!
I think the Softpop might be the best synthesiser of all time!
100% need this
These things are so cool.
Thank you. We think you are cool too
Nice beats there.
Bro this looks really cool. I expected this to be like $1000 but 300 bucks is a really nice price tag man
but how? it has little patch holes that are not suitable for normal modulation, you could buy big oscillator and vca for that amount of money
not that im hating it, i love it
It's 300 euros not dollar's
1,000 ... Lol. Wut TF?! Hahahaha
oh god it's adorable i need one
Incredible stuff!!!
Cherry on the top was a ...nice cherry on the top ;)
Wish I had a space to keep all of those devices I'd like to purchase :(
So a lovely device :) Is still one of my highlights from Superbooth 2017 :)
Equipment that looks very good
i think i'm in love
I would like to check your store some day, I'm currently in Poland for a while not far
Cheers ! Sounds really good!
interesting synth. I might have to pick one up.
sounds good,thanks rgds
1:14 has a huge mass effect 1 sound track vibe. I love it. I wish I could afford this, because I would buy it just to try and recreate that.
Like that one!
So many sounds in the worrllddd of tomoorrowwww
textures
If I made industrial music I would be interested for sure! Cool box.
Must buy
don't know why but it reminds me of an Atari Punk but all grown up. I'm glad to see CASPERELECTRONICS doing his thing out there! it's actually kind of a big plus to have the little jumper patch points... I would've loved to have something like this when I was experimenting with circuit bending and synth prototyping. I wanted to be upset about the price but I'd happily trade my minibrute for one of these.
need this
G JONES ! amazing instrument
This shit is beautiful
synth creature 😍
Nice
That beat is fire.
Is it just me or every beat on this seemed amazing
This is super cool.
We have a new one out!
@@bastlinstruments Don't tempt me haha
Nifty! Sharing on The Awesomer.
BitRanger will be happy to play with this new friend!!
abikuville indeed! Lots of possibilities and lots of noisy fun
I WANT IT SOOOOOOO MUCH 😫😫😫
Awesome instrument! I would love to see this being sold also as DIY board for the people who want to experiment with their own designs.
its not DIY from scratch, but there are lots of hacking possibilities, from the secret chamber where you can undo normalisations to the extensively labeled PCB so you can rewire things as you like
Damn... had I known about this I would have picked this up a while ago. Perfect little companion for the Volca Modular. Shame the new one isn't patched like this one.
cool !!!!!!
OMYGOD I NEED THAT
Hola quiero comprarlo está 25$ si? Envían a Peru? Estoy muy interesado en comprarlo. Y también para si tendrías algún sybths de batería? Gracias thanks
Where can I start to learn about patching synths and things do do with instruments like these paired with drum machines?
I wish Bastl produce semi-modular sequencer.
Can you jam a web cam against the LED and get an effect similar to the nova drone?
I don't know half of what this guy's saying about this thing but I know that it sounds cool.
This strikes me as something whoever does the music for Adventure Time would love to get their hands on.
Now that you mention it, it absolutely sounds like what is played over the opening title cards.
what connection would i need on my keyboard to connect this? midi in?
I
