When I was growing up in the 50's Dundee was a bustling, exciting, living city....now it's dying on it's feet.
Thank you Tam Moore,J.L.Stewart and the rest of the labour party.

I too studied at Dundee Uni many years ago. Education is a blessing but few Dundee folk got any of it. The early 60s saw Hawkhill & Blackness Rd, areas of thriving communities, cleared of 10s of 100s of families to build the Uni & it's amenities. Dundee is one of the friendliest Scottish towns. It never had the religious bigotry of Glasgow, Lanark or Fife, &c. My wife's English & has found no prejudice there while she's found plenty elsewhere. Corrupt councillors were it's only problems.

My granddad has loads of great footage of Dundee in the 60's & 70's. I've been planning to film it off his projector so i can share it with people on youtube for ages now, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Sometime ago,I stayed at a guest house in Dundee,Anderson's Guest House,on Perth Road,Dundee.I was there with my husband and my 11 year-old daughter. One morning, she ran downstairs ahead of my husband & myself to the breakfast room. When we joined her,my daughter looked visibly uncomfortable & slightly jittery. When we went back upstairs to our room, she told us that the owner,Mr. Anderson, had blew her a kiss and winked at her suggestively.I think that is sick & we clearly won't be going back there

i've been to dundee a good few times and no trouble at all, its a nice looking city with great scenery.
People should have some perspective. Im from Glasgow and glasgow is a complete toilet.
Only problem with dundee is the teenage pregnancies and the helicopters from the 24 hr cafe!

@penchanskii I like Falkirk, site of the two major battles,The junction of two canals, the Antononi wall is nearby, home of a major coachbuilder etc.
A historic town with much too see!
Pity it doesn't churn out thousands of people with useless degrees.

    Well,when Dundee was a prosperous,thriving city we didn't have any Universities,only Queen's college.
Students do nothing to the long term benefits of Dundee.
