I remember playing shows with OTMOP in the Huntington area in the late 90’s. I was in 5 Days Late with Phil, Matt and Dan from Latterman. It’s so cool to see everyone in this doc.
This was fantastic. I found OTMOP in college around 2011 and was fortunate enough to see them at Irving in 2012. I really connected with what Scott said regarding certain bands bringing you back to a place in time. OTMOP was my senior year, my life was so certain yet uncertain, and OTMOP was the anthem for that time for the good and the bad. What an absolute powerhouse of a group that touched so many lives.
I was friends with the Mute Bros and the Bookstore crew. I’m racking my brain trying to think of the timing on this. When I came home from school I can remember going to Patchogue to see them at the laser tag or something. This was early on when Nicole was still drumming for them. I remember hanging out at a diner afterwards and us Nassau boys were just ripping on being in the sticks of suffolk 😂. I think Mike Andriani said it really well about how the band had a hold of him. Same goes for me the first time I heard them. 20+ years on, they still do. Hands down my favorite band to this day.
I discovered OTMOP via the Where You Are… record back in 2016 when I was 16/17 years old and to this day it’s still one of the most impactful records I’ve ever listened to. Incredible passionate playing, masterfully written songs… not only did it introduce me to this type of music but it also resonated with me back then and got me through rough times. I’ll forever be grateful to OTMOP and the music they created.

One of those, you had to be there, to truly understand the magnitude of the sound. Unlike anything I've ever experienced in music.
