Burke's Works

Victoria BC filmmaker David Burke has been shooting Super-8 film since the 1980s, mainly in Victoria and around Vancouver Island, with side trips to the mainland, and Calgary. He's moved on to video, but he compiled this footage and had it transferred to digital, and I created a soundtrack for it.

Nice "music and sounds" - music really. Normally I would give the film short shrift. Not my cuppa. I don't like quick cuts like this; was even suspicious of... Headache? Seizures? Mind control? lol The music is compelling. It drew me in. Made it work; interesting slice of culture and the "beautiful people", as they used to say...
I became curious as to how the film inspired the music. I get it, I get it... Nice!... Loved the rock riffs at 8:11.
Yeah, deserves to be listened to / watched the whole way through. Don't take someone else's word for it. Make up your own mind. Experience it for yourself.
Great soundtrack for daily life, though! lol Great title.
I'm saving this one in my "Performance" folder for the great music, which I will listen to again...

Thanks! I don't think David was trying to do anything other than squeeze as many images on a 4 minute reel as he could, I'm sure he'll be delighted by the "mind control" concept though!
