Yes, it's the same as the Giga trap except stone, no point reinventing the wheel. Kinda weird that they have the same size hitbox thing considering the visual size difference. Big thank you to xl-_-ENIGMA-_-lx, Beef and SnoGryphon for testing this trap.

The eyes, ha! Really good video, ressources listed, straight to the point. Build the trap, shot the spino and it ran into a triangle of unremovable rocks. To my suprise he did not drown. Now I own a tamed spino, who is stuck. At least until I can get my hands onto a cyropod. Typical ARK life!
These traps are just... elegant. So simple. So elegant. So satisfying. Came back here because of Ab, and look forward to implementing them now. Subbed. Cheers mate!
Tysm legend, i got 2 spinos close to my base and im new to the game they killed my baryonyx :-( and my level 60 trike im just level 30 so its lucky i got thos ig but now imma tame thos spinos hopefully this method works!
Awesome. This beach Bob tamed a spino that was threatening my base at level 27 thanks to this. It worked but I went out of render to my base b/c I forgot my tranq arrows and it clipped out but continued attacking the pillars so I could knock it out. So if all else fails just put up a bunch of pillars to get it's attention off of you lol. The hardest part was the last few shots b/c they're so fast when fleeing.

WOW, this works! I used 16 pillars total plus 4 ladders to make the tallest 2 pillars 1 level higher or the Spino would just hop right over. PS4 on dedicated unofficial server. I let her ate half of my reserved cooked prime meat and it's totally worth it. Just got to collect pearls now to make a saddle. Super excited!!!

just tried it on 2 spinos, the first one ran right through it but the second one got trapped until it started running away then it got out. Still not bad

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but this didn't work for an Aberrant Spino that I was trying to tame. It was able to "jump" over the two pillars at the end of the trap and keep going.
Mine managed to run out the side when he got real close to going down (Level 145), but he got stuck on the stone structures on the river and went down (Ragnarok). 7/10 will try again.
Dude i tried your trap and got two Brontos stuck in it, they had hit the pillars many many times but pillars got no damage and in time a spino spawned 200 meters away from base in south isle so I lured it to the trap and it's damn fast but it got stuck and I killed it and I also tamed a female Bronto.
Really cool trap! Same materials from the Rex trap! I do have a question though. Can the Spino turn around cause they can walk over 2 walls high which means they can escape? Still though really, amazing trap!

Yup. It's weird that Spino and Giga are same, but rex is smaller mechanics-wise so this doesn't work for it.

You can add an extra pillar to each of the highest ones if that happens.

I'm kinda a noob... 1) Why do you need the smallest piece in gf far back? How do you know how wide to make it?

This trap helped me tame 3 Spinos (although they can escape sometimes), but sadly two of them died from fighting Megalodons :(
