Engine H 4500 that's a lot of hours engine last 6000 hours
Engine can last 11 000 hours when well maintained...
This is incorrect Cesar. A well looked after engine will do at least 10,000 before an overhaul. I have worked on commercial boats that had a 1960 Diesel engine which purred along beautifully, were serviced regularly and overhauled for a good interior clean up and rewiring, re plumbing every 10,000 hours. I think you are basing your opinion on a classic marina sailor. Before working exclusively with the Bluewater cruising community, I used to have people turn up at my office telling me that their boat was fantastic because they NEVER USED it. Can you believe it? I have seen Diesel engines seized up beyond repair at 80 hours. Please check your facts.

I work on commercial boats. I've done that for 40 yrs. I've worked on boat that had engines older than me....a lot older
