    The most helpful tutorials i have seen while working on my project. All your explanations were simple and understandable to a novice like myself but I also feel like it wasn’t so annoyingly over explained so that even a person that has more project under their belt could watch and get some tips. Also all this in under 10 mins! You, Ma’am have it figured out I didn’t even have to speed up the playback or skip through to keep my attention. Very well executed video and beautiful cabinet!

    Thank you SO MUCH!!! This was such a helpful video. I just watched several videos of dudes makes cabinet doors with $50,000 worth of machinery which I don't have. This was exactly what I needed to see. Thank you!!!

    I just want to say thank you for using a marker and notebook for the math. People like to use fancy graphics and I know one guy (Engineering Explained I think) likes to use a whiteboard and he's known for it. But it saves SOOO much on editing headaches to just be able to point things out with pen and paper.

    Really enjoyed the video--thanks! Two questions: 1. Any reason why I couldn't use 1/4" plywood for the interior piece of the door? Just wondering if lighter weight may be better for the project I'm considering. 2. Also, thinking of doing this with an Ikea bookcase that's made out of MDF. Will that create any issues with the hinges or should it work just fine?

    • @carlotta4th
      @carlotta4th Год назад

      Depends on the hinge, but I'd say you would have a hard time finding a hinge that can sit in 1/4" wood (it'd have to at least have a molding to make the edges thickers). The door would also be more prone to warping at 1/4".

    Hello, just came across this video. Do you remember about how much your project cost minus any tools? Just the wood plywood? Trying to estimate cost for 8 doors and compare that to the Oxberg doors you can purchase from IKEA. For 8 from IKEA it’s 360 plus tax 😮

  • @soniajangla

    could i remove the rails and stiles and use a bigger piece of plywood?

    • @ShadesofBlueInteriors
      @ShadesofBlueInteriors  4 года назад

      sonia jangla you could, but it wouldn’t look very good. The rails and stiles give it a finished and professional look.

    • @alexisjulius5397

      If you did want to remove the rails and stiles how would you measure that? Just add 1/2 inch to height and width?
