    Joslin was right though. "Greater margin for error" should still have a limit. That wasn't a toe drag it was a footplant. At least a redo shoulda been called.

      100%, a couple of these guys are so clocked in on the prize they're after they have lost perspective on sportsmanship/fair play. Many riders would immediately have called the redo on themselves and rightly so. But the ref refusing was also bizarre

      I don't think the ref questioned the toe drag, I think he had already decided to allow toe drags on defense before the game. He even said they "talked" about it the night before or something.

    Don’t ever let this guy ref again. He’s a cool dude, but not letting a challenge happen is the opposite of reffing. Chris threw the flag, that should be above the refs jurisdiction. Or else why is the flag there?? Either way Tyler is a beast and Chris was injured he couldn’t do double flips.

    I understand there is more of a margin for error for defense… But that was embarrassing. The fact TYLER would even stand by that is questionable in itself. I would have called to do over on myself even on defense playing against my friends at the skate park for fun. Pretty embarrassing.     Joslin literally said he had an ankle injury and couldn’t do double flips or forward flips, and I know it’s a competition so strategy comes into play but to do double flip, fakie double flip, forward flip in a row and then a tre double flip was kinda merciless. Maybe Tyler got a little angry about the challenge flag but I also thought that the switch back heel should’ve been a redo... or maybe he was thinking he would do tricks that he does really well to make up for it, idk. Either way though I love both these guys and before the game Joslin even said Tyler’s really good and he’d be stoked to see him go to finals night. This game wasn’t the best but these guys are among the best of the best imo. I was rooting for both of them at the start. 🔥

    I'm tired of seeing that the rules are not respected, it doesn't look professional at all, I so often see tricks not popped, sketchy landing or toe drag being accepted, that makes it not credible and there is a lack professionalist

    Crazy that top tier pros still quite rightly struggle with a 360 double flip while Shane was knocking them out switch for fun or down huge things like ten years ago, just shows how much Shane O'Neil was ahead of the game.

They're not supposed to make their own calls. The power and onus is on the referee to judge and make calls not the players.

    i love how chris is having fun & tylers so serious...kinda a try hard for no reason. Barely smiles and always is so strait faced. This is what seperates a pro from the rest. Chris is where its at, love the vibe from him always. But why does Tyler seem to always try so hard to compete? or is this just me? Also any good skater would redo that toe drag themselves instead of trying to sneak it by the useless ref. But in all honesty Tyler has a great bag of tricks and does them proper.       I think it’s fine. Some people are competitive and serious - that’s just who they are. Watch the Michael Jordan documentary - it worked for him, even if it wasn’t sunshine and puppies for everyone else. Shane O Neill is like that. People just have different styles of competing. That’s all it is. Chris has already won - Tyler’s newer and wants to prove himself. Maybe he’ll chill out after or maybe he won’t.
