Restoring this 'HOT WOK' I found in the Junkyard
In this Video I restored a 'HOT WOK' Stove, I found in the Junkyard! While disposing metal trash, I found it in a container and took it with me.
It isnt antique, nor super old, I could immediately tell by the philips screws and the sticker. But - it would've been a shame leaving it there.
So I disassembled it completely and startet the Restoration with sandblasting the cast iron parts. These parts had a good condition, but the main body part had some bad casting marks. I removed them, because there wasn't any character i could destroy :-D
After sandblasting I brushed the parts with linseed oil and heated them with a flamethrower. THis process leaves a nice black coat, which is also food safe!
Did the same to the other steel parts.
The brass parts were brushed, cleaned and polished.
The final test shows how beautiful it works again, and the peppers were pretty tasty :-)
Thanks for watching! - Наука
I hope you enjoyed the new shop and the new editing! Hugs ❤
PPE!!!!!!!!! I don't want that body harmed!!
first video of new shop and you already baptised the table with hot nut.
🤣
Great job brother!
Despite the new shop and editing, (which are awesome BTW), I love how you're able to keep the 'feeling' of your video the same. That speaks more to you than the tech. Thanks for the great work and congrats on the new digs.
A wise man once said: *_"Hans, get ze flammenwerfer!"_*
🤣🤣
Your commentary on this video was absolutely top tier.
Haha, thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed!
@@misterpatina My friend, you were in Top Form for this video with the commentary!
We still use it to this day to prepare traditional bread ❤
How could you confuse Star Trek with Star Wars!
This is definitely Star Trek! 😁
I dunno buddy, starship enterprise or the millennium falcon. It's arguable!
It's star truck !🤗🤗🤗
That it was not so terribly rusted made it an excellent find. Your restoration efforts made it more than perfect again, for many, many years to come.
Thanks a lot!
You probably need more air in with your gas mixture. There is probably a valve somewhere which will allow more oxygen into the stream of gas before burning.
yep, the right one needs that bolt adjusted out
I could almost smell that rich flame!
надо уменшить рабочий диаметр латунной форсунки, тогда горение будет правильное. при неправильном горении выделяется угарный газ(СО), а также посуда будет в саже.
@@dykseeeHe will have a fun time trying to remove the soot of that pan.
The burn on the table xD
🥲
Yep! We will be looking for that burn mark in all future videos! ♨️
"patina"
We gotta all say thanks to Hans, for lending us zhe flammenwerfer.
And praise the squee squee!
Seriously cool how the end result looks like!
(Dig the ink too btw.)
Haha, best man! Thanks, iam glad you enjoyed!
Looks good, though the yellow flames indicate an obstruction in the burner.
О, новый уровень! Не просто реставрация, а целое шоу! Браво!😁👏
Looks great. Well done.
Thanks!
Beautiful restoration 😊
Thanks!
You should try to find smaller nozzles for the copper ones. you will get a much bluer flame. less sout.
Yes! Another master Mister Patina video! We have been blessed this day! 🙏
Good work man good luck in work
Wonderful work
Thanks!
Well done.
Great job! Looks ready for years of service. I think the British call that "Star Wars" looking part a gas hob.
Gas hob…thanks 🙂
Gut gemacht 🙌
Danke! 🙂
Videography skills getting pretty sick bro!
Thanks!
I like it. Nice rebuild!
Thanks!
Too many panning shorts... I think they should be used more sparingly 😢
Nice restoration. Your cooking... well... it was a nice restoration!
🤣🤣
This is so "squee squee". Sweet!
Haha, thanks!
Those gas valves need special grease to seal them! They WILL leak with out it. Outer burner ring shows yellow flame. This will cause carbon monoxide or carbon deoxcide. Need to adjust air screw for a blue flame
Great stuff man, Such a great restoration 👏👏
Thanks!
Thank you Mr Patina. a Big like from me as always.
Thank you so much!
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Awesome bro
Thanks Josh!
Awesome restoration Mr. patina.
Thanks!
Excellent content! Im not a huge fan of the overuse of the panning camera. I think static shots make for a better restoration video
Perfect.. You are good Master..
Thanks!
Everything about this video is just perfect! Thanks for sharing!
Love it..."The Satisfaction Cabinet "
Как всегда.
Всё на высшем уровне!!!!
Maestro!
WAUW!
JA GNAKN
lol. "Hans, get ze flammenwerfer."
Thanks for another great restoration! Turned out so lovely
Thanks! Iam glad you like it! 🙂
Nicely done Mr. P!!
Thanks!
Nice video! But maybe you can reduce the amount of the sliding video technique. I think it’s too much for a relaxed video…
Thanks for your feedback!
I really like his restorations......The real key to his videos is the great editing.
Wundervoll 👍
Danke mein Freund!
I'm loving this new Mr P with his fun new lingo. ❤
Definitely too cool to leave it to be scrapped! Ah, it uses tapered 'carrot' valves for the gas, neat!
Carrot Valves! Love it!
Heard the term in a steam-hammer restoration video!
Excellent restoration of a quality appliance. Though I got more of a Star Trek vibe from the burner casting.
You’re right here! I’m not too deep into Star Wars/Star Trek 😅
@@misterpatina peace, friend
Glad that you pointed out, I was going to make the same comment. BTW, very nice restoration and test. Please, do the brathwurst for us the carnivores .... Lol
Captain's Log, Stardate 22752.1. It seems that the USS Fire Wok has requested the assistance of the USS Enterprise after encountering an entity they are calling "Mr. Patina"...
Me encanta la delicadeza con la que trabaja
Super 🎉
Another fantastic job done and it's better now than when it was new. 👏👏👏
Thanks!
Awesome job. Thank you for the commentary, helps out while watching you work.
Great restoration
Thanks!
New way to blacken (for me). Superb restored look.
Thanks!
Brilliant job. Danke
Thanks a lot!
I’m still reeling from a grown up man with tattoos calling it squee squee. Love it. New expression in my vocabulary.
Lol, so grown up men with tattoos aren't allowed to say fun words now ???!!!!
Jk 🤣 I know you meant well but I enjoy making people uncomfortable lol don't take me seriously!!
Squee squee is a test marketing name. Also useful for wjen you send your 6 year old into the house to get more....
The Australian equivalent is "squirty" covers all chemicals in an aerosol. "a bit of squirty will fix that" (I'm a grown man with tattoos as well :), 40 years as a truck driver)
@@NotUnique_ 😃
@@glennsoucy9767 now that is a good point. It’s a long time since I knew any six year olds so this didn’t occur to me.
I didn't know you had culinary talent
I've got a lot of talents! :-D
Well done. It looks great.
Thanks!
My neighbor Hans .... Ich denk jo deutscher Kanal und was sehe ich Deutscher Kanal ! Cool weiter so !
Haha, danke dir! Nächstes Projekt ist schon in der Produktion :-)
Lindo Trabalho, abraços do brasil.
You need to upgrade your pressure regulator for the gas towards the stove. You need more pressure to get the good hot burning flames.
great production value!
Good Job,as usual!🔥 👍👍👍!!
Отлично! Понравилось👍❗
That is a happy bird . . . beautiful work as usual
Thanks Mike!
Awesome!!!!!
Excellent!!!! Great restoration!!!!
j'adore
Always enjoyable.
Good job. Thank you.
Another great job, Mr P 👍
Thanks!
I just watched your video great job only one small problem you need to take the burner back out and clean it out to get rid of the yellow flame.
"Dieser Prozess hinterlässt ein schönes schwarzes Fell, das auch lebensmittelecht ist!" 😂
Okay da stimmt was nicht 🤣
very good video
Thanks!
Как всегда , очень интересно ! Вы молодец !!!
Love your videos, the captions were helpful. Thanks for posting!
More of a Star Trek design style than Star Wars, what with the 3 Nacells. ;-)
Splendid
Nicely done! Funny and great editting. At first I was like "but that isn't an authentic 19th century Hot Wok" but then I was like "cool! He restored a really cool piece of cooking gear (maybe best for outdoor cooking)!". I've heard you can deep fry a turkey with one of those - out doors and very carefully that is! Awesome vid! 😁👍
Haha thanks! A whole turkey? Hold my beer..
@@misterpatina Yeah you get a giant pot full of oil and boil it on one of those things outside with a fire extinguisher near by. Ideally you might want to lower the turkey in from a distance. I hear it tastes amazing.
Super sweet
Muito bom !
That’s a neat old piece. Cool restoration!
Je to 2 roky co jsem přesně toto absolvoval. Jen s tím rozdílem, že mosazný části jsem čistil kyselinou citronovou. Je to rychlejší a snadnější.
Hodně zdaru v další práci.
Oui c'est ça la restauration
A fun project for you and fun for viewers too. 👍👍👍
My first thought when I saw that thing: “Man, he should ‘season’ that!” 😎
New bench tops are like new cars. The first scratch hurts the most!
Haha, you’re right here!
Marvelous restoration job you did on the "hot wok" gas stove. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.
Thank you so much George!
The flame is not well regulated.
Must adjust the bolts underneath the tubes for it.
Brand new 👍🏻
Nice panning shots!
Good morning to you to....just listened to Big and Loud from CDD..this is heavenly
Thanks!
Wonderful work as always sir!
Bravo!
Epic
j'ai toujours un immense plasir à regarder tes videos. merci ❤️
Iam glad you do! Thanks!
more then awesome
Perfeito 😮😮😮
Wonderful and very well done. One tiny correction. Heating metal and quenching it in oil isn’t really “hot blueing”. It’s carbonizing. The organics in the oil burn onto the hot surface and deposit a layer of carbon on it. It does protect against rusting but it isn’t very durable. True blueing of metal screws can be done by heating the bottom of the screw and watching the progression of colors in the screw head. As it just begins to turn blue quench it in oil. You’ll get a great result 😅
Thank you so much for your feedback! I’ll keep that in mind 🙂👍
Hello mister Patina beautiful restoration beautifully restored good job well done
Jammi Jammi👌 nice Worke👋
Nice!
