Everyone talks about the actions after Katrina but don’t blame the preparations before Katrina and how they spent their resources poorly. They knew those levees weren’t going to hold and were arrogant and foolish in allocating their resources.
Why did "we" drop the ball? The residents knew a hurricane was coming and were advised to leave. Yes, I concede that they did not know that the levies were going to break, however, they still had ample time to make arrangements to leave knwing that a monster storm was heading their way.

@@heromiIes why.not tho? It's true

He looked like he wanted to smack him for being an idiot. In 2022, such behavior is considered "woke" and real. What's real is that Kanye was dropping controversial political statements during what was supposed to be a classy fundraiser. He looks like a buffoon...and what's worse is that he probably did this to get his name in headlines. Just like he did with Taylor Swift. Yall think that stuff is improvised but it's not. One of my former coworkers was black New Orleans. When I asked what brought him all the way out to the Midwest he explained that his home was destroyed by Katrina and they just put everyone in a bus and sent them off to a random state. We really dropped the ball when it came to Katrina.
U have no idea. My ex gf was in the Superdome while Katrina was in full effect. She said it was chaos in there. Ppl were getting robbed, beat and rabed.

Now, the actual orders were to shoot looters, but there was no real due process period to determine if these people were actually looting or not.
