I spent all of Fallout 3 bushwacking caravans for loot. Like ambush-style highway robbery and murder. Then got to the town where the caravans meet up and it was EMPTY bc I killed them all game. For the rest of the games I realized I had to be an ethical actor. The Fallout series makes you examine who you are at a granular moral level. It's so awesome.
I just cant believe this. Fallout 4 was the first PC game ive had, and the reason why I wanted to get myself a gaming PC and even before playing I watched hundreads of episodes of a Lets Play, and it still is (until forever probably) my favorite game of all time! I would have NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED TO THINK ABOUT the possibility of getting a series about it!!!!!!!!!!!!
My only complaint is not knowing when the 2nd season will be! The episode a week would have been good, I had to sign up to watch it now just so I could avoid the enormous number of spoilers appearing online.
Another really neat thing is not only did they get Bethesda to help but there were a few fans involved as well, especially a lot of the extras were apparently fans of the show
Initially, I assumed it was another soulless cash grab series. I didn't even watch the trailer, despite being a long time Fallout fan. However, after sampling the first episode, I binged it all, and I was thoroughly satisfied. I wouldn't classify it as 'legendary', but it is clear that good minds put their heart and soul into it. I rate 7.7, overall; and I look forward to it's future.
I binged the whole thing in a day, I have bad memory, so when I have to watch 1 episode per week, I always forget the last episode and it messes my thoughts up about the show, so when they drop all episodes at once is better for me. I am also impatient and need everything now.
I found Fallout 3 when I was in middle school. I instantly fell in love with the game, and what surprised me more was how much I loved the music and lore. My grandparents were born in the 20s, and while I always loved them, I never quite connected with them past the surface level. This game allowed me to find something that I could really connect with them over: the music they themselves grew up with. Ended up turning into some of the best years of my life and the two most important relationships I'd ever have. They passed away a few years ago, but once I heard the music and saw the title, it brought back so many memories and feelings that I honestly cried a bit. The show's tongue and cheek and is meant to be cheesy. It's fantastic, compelling, and thoroughly entertaining, whether you know the game or not.
So worth it too, the gf and I watched every minute of it Friday nighty. The best way to combat the waiting period is watch it a few times in a row and then watch it looking for everything you can see. That's what I do. Love your vids, funny how the military is cheap with things, I've never served, but every warehouse or furniture plant job is the same way, tell you to make chicken salad outta chicken shit. Keep it up!
Only played the original Fallout in the 90’s, but loved it. Very glitchy, but one time it worked to my advantage in a battle with the giant lizards where the NPC dog multiplied like 1000x and eventually killed the raptor thing. That could never happen in regular game play but was awesome to see that one time.
On the topic of series bingeing I'd usually reserve watching the show that way if it ended or if it was given new life with new seasons and spinoffs that are more associated to the main element but open up story telling on things we didn't get closer/clear up plot holes.
I’m about halfway through and am a diehard fallout fan. The Easter eggs are great and some of the monsters iconic going even back to fallouts 1 and 2 they seem to be adding a bit to the lore all and all I think it’s great however certain things are weird like power armor it’s obvious the biggest inspiration is fallout 4 and new Vegas is kind of brushed aside
NGL ive always found game adaptations of shows to be thoroughly disappointing, but this was has been great so far. No complaints. I like how theyre taking a different angle to the lore so no one can say "oh this is false". Theyve never seen this part of the lore so they can just fuck right off and let me enjoy my life. Please note. If anyone comes to the comments of this comment and tries to dispute it, i will simply reply with "fuck off" so if ur expecting a debate forget it.
I have not played the game nore watched the series yet. I do plan on watching it some time soon. Looks Phantastic as the story line and how their sticking to the game lore, as my friends who played the game point out. Thanks for sharing this video and the trailer to the show.
Game recommendations would be half-life, bioshock, dishonored, deadspace, doom, wolfenstein, ghost recon and sniper elite. You can add in the regular fps games like cod and battlefield
Season one was far better than anticipated. Had low expectations due to many game adaptations being awful. This, however, was not the case for Fallout. I hope they keep it up!
If i may make a game suggestions for you. Go get Hearts of Iron 4 then download Old World Blues. OWB Is the Only Fallout RTS/RPG Hybrid out there. Instead of playing as a person you play as a hole faction within Canada/America/Mexico and you can pick any faction on the map to play.
the humor and their ability to both satisfy tropes and subvert them, made me very much into the show. Mr Ghoul is at same level of fandom for me as Trevor Phillips.
they kind of missed on the BoS. The West Coast BoS were fanatics, unlike the "do gooders" of the East Coast. They are literally a tech cult closed off to society but now suddenly they allow in outsiders? They've literally never had open enrollment. I don't buy it. Not with the short timeline after FO4 and the tv series. Also, they're seriously incompetent. The ghoul shoots out the lights and somehow every knight has forgotten that they have a giant flashlight on mounted on their helmet? Seriously? Also, since when do BoS not run around in teams anymore? II understand Titus was a goober and maybe they were sending him to his death on purpose but seriously? And dont get me started on every whamen is a total badass
Yeah I finished the series already, very good throughout the whole thing but I hate that they left out so much in end as a cliffhanger for season 2; like yall could've shown us more about the dude that was trapped in vault 31 (I think thats the right vault) and more about the mom and her perspective of Shady Sands becoming a pile of ruins...etc. I know they left these out to keep us ready for season 2 but why leave us so empty handed 😭
It's actually not bad, the TV series that is. The only thing I would complain about so far is our introduction to the [spoilers] Rangers. They did not appear to be as impressive, resourceful nor fearsome as they are in the games and lore. It was a pretty pathetic display but hopefully they turned out to just be scavengers that had picked up the armor or maybe there will be a redemption in due time, who knows.

Meh. I watched it and it lacks enthusiasm, has poor editing and is just lackluster even with Walton Goggins as the ghoul. It’s as bad as the halo series
I've been a fan of the Fallout games since the first one came out way back in '97. This show is WAY better than I expected it to be, honestly.

The show is overseen by Bethesda game studios, so of course it would be more like their games and not the one by obsidian
It's so damn good. We watched it on our discord server all together in 2 days. It was fun.😂 Can't wait for season 2.

The show is lore accurate, because it's canon to the games. It's the same universe and takes place after Fallout 4.
Thank god Bethesda was actually included. Was really skeptical at first but I almost binged the entire season in one day.
