Great video, imo he’s better for a multitude of reasons. Mainly because his writing and overall sound. But his personality, charisma and overall branding is excellent. He never appears to be trying too hard. He said in a documentary that he understood leaving one direction meant he might never get to that level of success ever again and he had to make peace with that. I think him doing that alone saved him. He never wanted to try too hard to be more famous than 1D. And in the same respect he was always willing to give 1D the thanks for getting him to this point. He never made fun of the music, or acted embarrassed by it. He still sings what makes you beautiful every show which is amazing. (Side note: meet me in the hallway is my favourite song by him ever as well!)

Harry’s been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community for over a decade now, whether it’s with charities or flag or comments. He still picked up flags in One Direction, he still made comments about his fluid sexuality. He’s said countless times now that he doesn’t label himself, and yet fans think they deserve to know his entire sexual history to decide whether or not he’s gay enough or straight enough to wear feather boas and wear rainbows. When in reality it’s none of your business. If he develops a large LGBTQ audience because he’s supportive and open and fans can see that, who are you to tell someone that the support we’ve seen for a decade now is fake? For years now the gay community has had its own icons of straight white female pop stars and no one baits an eyelash at them being praised for being ‘gay icons’ or pandering to gay communities when they do the bare minimum. He’s just said in a magazine that he prefers to talk to friends about his sexuality and how it’s his experience. He’s absolutely right. Y’all are grossly invasive and it’s wild to me to think that we’re at this point where people believe they are owed an answer about someone’s personal sexuality.

If you are a fan of Harry and you get the chance to see him live, take it. It was an incredible experience I will never forget. Every single person was so happy to be there and so friendly. I have never in my life experienced genuine kindness on such a huge scale as one of his concerts. I love Harry, but I will be forever grateful for the way he used his platform and created the amazing community that I get to share with so many beautiful humans.
My daughter and I had our Harry concert cancelled due to covid here in Australia, our Money was returned to us, and four months later, they announced that he was coming to Perth, By the time his concert was a go, I was so sick I couldn't go, broke my heart like never before, I have not been able to get another chance to see him..Now with him taking an extended break who knows when he will be back, at 72, I just may be to late as I now have Vascular Dementia, talk about bad luck...😢😢
I personally think harry has been so successful also because he has mastered the art of staying ahead of the curve. he did 80s rock before 80s rock became relevant again (his first album). his second album was a pop masterpiece which allowed him to go mainstream, hitting the current trends of the time (summer pop, which allowed for high radio rotation), his current album is now a reflection of what harry’s personality and personal interests really are (we get more 70s and 80s synth pop and disco) and now he’s so famous and respected that he can really do whatever he wants and have a radio hit. he did the same thing with his fashion, changing his aesthetic to fit with his album and making it obvious that he is constantly evolving. when you master the art of making waves, it becomes easy to keep those waves coming. I think where his former band members fall short is their hesitancy to evolve. each one of them has maintained the same style and sound without much change. not to say it’s a bad thing, but in today’s industry it will not keep you relevant.
Hard to pinpoint what I love the most about Harry apart from his music. Maybe his ability to take risk? And the way he shows his imperfection through music. The man never complains, doesn’t talk much and just do.
We definitely heard different Niall's discographies. The dude is a great artist and I love his music as much as I do Harry's he just doesn't have this aura around him the way Harry does. And I love Louis songwriting, lyrics are his strong suit imo. But being a massive Harry's fan I agree with every word you said about Harry)) The audition thing is funny because Niall's and Harry's ambition levels seem to switch, that might be the 1D fame thing that weighed on Niall too much and again - 1D image that limited Harry's artistry. But it's funny how Niall came to the X Factor saying he wants to work with biggest people in the industry and sell out arenas - and he did. He said a few times he couldn't imagine himself doing anything else but music and I find it endearing and motivating. Harry just said music is what he wants to do - and he did but, like you said, it wasn't the only option for him. But now Niall doesn't reach for the stars imo, he doesn't challenge himself, doesn't push the boundaries the way Harry does, he just makes music e likes and I love him for it. Harry's constantly challenges himself and grows as an artist and it will definitely bring him a legendary status in a 5-10 years. I love him so much for it too. I agree, Harry pushes the boundaries more. Niall has a comfort zone and he's not eager to leave it anytime soon. As an OT5, Niall has always been 'safe' in everything he does, so crying out loud his favorite past-time is golf.... love him though. He doesn't want superstardom he just wants to make music and golf. Same with the other members. Zayn only wants to make the music he likes and he does care if it's well received or not and he doesn't perform live nor does he tour. Louis and Liam are more focused on parenting. They love music as well but they don't have the drive as performers and they are more comfortable behind the scenes writing and producing. The thing with the 1D boys is that none of them are hungry for solo fame due to how famous they were in the 1D. Zayn developed really bad anxiety, Louis and Niall dealt with a lot of insecurity over their vocal abilities, and Liam is a recovering alcoholic. Not to mention that Louis is still recovering from the death of his mom and sister. Outside of relationship issues, Harry was the only one of the boys to leave 1D in okay shape. The only thing he really suffered was that his artistry was suppressed because it didn't fit the band's image, same with Zayn whose songs were always turned down. I remember when Harry had painted his nails for a red-carpet event and the 1D team made him scrape them off before the carpet. Anyways, as I said I'm OT5. I'm proud of them all, Harry gets to be himself and they all have more control over their careers and fame.

I would only argue with one thing, I don't have the expression that Niall had any vocal insecurities, he's got an amazing vocal and he had it from the very beginning, even from X Factor times. He developed it, sure, but it was fine before he went solo, too. The issue was that he wasn't trusted with more carrying parts of the song at the beginning of their careers, that's probably what you mean (if not, I apologize for assumption). It seems that first 2 years the label didn't expect much from him and Louis and that they were just a part of the team for them. Their artistry and personalities came into play later, when they grew up and had more experience little bit. It's kinda unfair to me tbh because Niall had the biggest musicianship about him in the group. His hearing and guitar playing are immaculate,he actually had less odd notes than most of the boys, but had the most difficult harmonies (not the main meldy like Louis or octave high like Liam but it's always modulated and it's the hardest usually). I am not an ot5, I don't know what it truly means but I respect all of them, but Harry and Niall music is a little more interesting to me))
@@OceanChild7 You are right about the label not trusting Niall and Louis in the early days, because they used to get the least number of lines, in the beginning, they would get less than 5mins of solo lines on the albums. This is one of the many reasons OT5 hates Modest. Due to this, haters used to criticize them and call them useless and untalented. And they internalized the hate. But they worked really hard to grow and develop themselves and while Niall has fortunately gotten a lot more comfortable with singing live, unfortunately, Louis has still yet to overcome it. Louis always does this thing where he holds back from certain notes and sings within a comfort zone. There are many instances of him hiding his vocals behind the other members during their live harmonies. He did that a lot when he got too nervous. His singing voice is really unique and when he gets comfortable and does not purposely restrain himself, he sings beautifully, but those moments of confidence are still rare for him. I can't wait for him to overcome this and really show what his voice is made of. It is ironic that Naill had such crazy harmonies and that Louis's voice was the foundation for almost all of the choruses. Plus, they were so talented at playing instruments and writing but never really got the respect they deserve. None of them got the respect they deserved while in 1D. But I'm glad people are finally giving them their flowers.
I think Harry was most people’s favourite, even right from the beginning of One Direction. I always saw him as the leader of 1D. But it never seemed like he was trying to do that, if that makes sense? He’s always seemed like he has no ego. He’s such a natural rock star on stage. I think he was born for it
I was not a 1D FAN. I often rolled my eyes from my older cousins who were fans. Once harry went solo, I was hooked. His music was expansive. He gained respect from musicians and audiences of all genres. And Taylor was right. He's got that James dean vibe going on.
I agree with everything you said, Harry was definitely born to be a star and I love his music but I don't think you listened to Zayn's music or gave it a second thought at least. "All his songs are about sex" kind of gave it away because what?? That man experiments with many genres, from his rnb takes, to funk, alternative rock, rap and he even sampled classical music. The only reason why he's not on Harry's level is because he doesn't care about the fame and he doesn't put himself out there

Harry really made an impact because of his good music and his huge charisma, I think he will even go more forward with his career. I don't agree about ur take on Zayn, yes he is obviously the most talented and his music is up there with Harry's. *Zayn could easily be right up there with him. He has an amazing voice and really great songs with great lyrical content. One problem is the label kept pushing for the up beat R&B songs that happen be be about sex in some terms. The public never got to hear everything else he had to offer. Second, his anxiety. With that mental toll, it makes it hard to be in front of thousands of fans, do interviews to promote the album, making appearances. It’s a big crutch. He’s got the look, the style, and above all a fantastic voice. The spotlight isn’t for everyone. But as long as he’s giving his fans music that he appreciates, they’re all for it. Including myself. Nonetheless, I do like Harry’s music. He’s heavily influenced by the past which reflects in his music and I can appreciate that. He puts a new spin on it. He has a great team behind him. Combined with his personality, skies the limit*
I agree with you that Zayn’s voice is great but personally I find it hard to support him when he can’t do concerts. I understand why but putting on a concert for the fans is really the best way to say thanks for supporting them . Zayn is still making music but I feel he’s only making money from the fans without giving them a full experience. Yes I know he has anxiety but after all this time he should have had lots of help overcoming it. This is just my opinion and I know people won’t agree and that’s fine. It’s a shame that Zayn can’t preform live because he would be amazing
I think the reason why Harry has made it in the music industry is not so dissimilar to why any of the greats of any other industry have made it - he’s kept his head down and tried to do a really good job at what he does and let the work speak for itself. He is very meticulous with his music and the way his albums and performances are put together and I think probably most people don’t realise this because he kind of steps out of the public light when he goes to work on an album, but he works hard as hell. I agree with everything you’ve said and obviously he’s got great talent and charisma to back him up, but there are thousands of other talented and charismatic people who have short and sad careers because they forget that literally the best thing you can do is focus on your craft with all you’ve got and let the work speak for itself.
i think this is spot on harry hardly tries to stay relevant but he is just cuz he's super intelligent and knows how to keep people guessing, with kindness and humbleness its so existing cuz the day he does does something is so memorable and iconic every step of the way. that and I think he's true love for music this ain't a carrier for him it's his life, his legacy. also he has way more skills in the music making area the fact that he has no collabs and writes all his music by himself with the help of the same small team means a lot. the rest stayed w 1D and its succes (which most of it was thanks of his front man AKA Harry Styles)

I only became a fan last summer, and this is all very accurate for me!! I loved his music once I finally heard it and the fact he has an incredible band made me really like him. And yeah I'd say its not so much a breaking norm thing that I like, but the confidence that's behind it.
Harry has said that he was afraid of making music he truly feels and wants as he wants to break free of the boy band image and become a serious artist. So hs1 was like the safest and most unique route he took to show who he wants to appeal to. But now he says his albums are getting more personal and fun as he said especially with the upcoming one. And being more open and vulnerable with his music really helped to gain peoples interest with him especially after fine line. I like all of 1Ds and their solo careers but harrys speaks to me more especially who he is as person i feel should aspire to be
he's super inspiring in the way he's manifested essentially exactly what he wants. he might've felt insecure and felt like he played it too safe on HS1, but in my humble opinion, HS1 takes more risks that land than Fine Line. Fine Line felt like he settled into something he liked, but it didn't always pay off as hugely as some of the highs on HS1. they're both good records tho!
I think Niall by far makes the the best music. He was topping the charts with his first album and I’m pretty sure he had the most listeners. What really hurt him was releasing heartbreak weather a day before quarantine or he would be up there still.
Zayns solo career was topping the charts when he started his solo career he's got the voice and everything.the only thing that made him fall was he doesn't promote his album and don't to tours.well it's upto him cause he couldn't care less about fame he loves music and writes to his fans who genuinely wants to listen to him. You put into perfect words how we all feel about him objectively. Stans will exist but there still exist fans who are not drowned in stan culture and see beyond his celebrity persona: he makes amazing music, he is so creative, hardworking and most importantly humble. Hating him is almost impossible because you will always see him everywhere, working and doing a good job at it. Now that's a dedication which i can get behind.

i think the only thing not doing for zayn is hes not putting himself out there, harry is the sense of the word is extrovert n zayn is quite opposite. he cant go the streets with james corden to do all those silly things, thats not his comfort zone. he has some pretty amazing creations out there that is so unique, harry cant even touch that. apart from being tough for zayn being introvert he will not be a fav from what culture hes coming from either, ya cant top a white boy who looks as good as harry even with the same amount of talent.

Loved your video great analysis. Just one thing I'd like to point out as a harry styles fan for the past decade, besides the music we never say we love him cause he's breaking gender norms, we love him cause he's just being himself and is able to freely express himself the way he wants without caring about what others will say or think. Nobody outside the fandom talks about this but he has inspired so many of us to be ourselves and love ourselves the way we are. I'm so thankful to him not just for his music but also for his heart and how much he has influenced me and inspires me every single day.
I both agree and disagree. I think alot of Harry's fame also has to do with the fact that he's pretty goodlooking and charismatic and that shit sells. He's got a magnetic personality which gave him such a big fan base because as far as I know, there are many songs like Harry's out there by other artists but the said artists just dont have the same influence as Harry styles.

ive been a Harry fan going on probably two years now, and I started off as more of an ot5, or someone who likes all of them, and I shrunk down to mainly just him and I think I agree with so much of what you're saying. a lot of people seem to write his success off as a byproduct of his attractiveness or think he just makes radio hits and I really appreciate the nuance and thought that you gave his fame out of 1D. I think in the end a lot of factors helped him to play the field really well when it came to having success out of the band. I really enjoyed Nialls solo album flicker which also ventured more into acoustic things but I think you're right in that some of the stuff still sounds like One direction which really wound up limiting his audience instead of growing it. I think Harry growing more out of the band and understanding that the fans were growing out of the band really helped him in his success. I think it was reassuring to have the One direction fans to fall back on after releasing a debut album, but I think that made it really easy to not branch out to new audiences and new music like Harry did. but yeah, TLDR you're so right!! you did a really good job with the editing on the video as well it looks really professional and good :)

I mean yeah, but about zayn..hm like it's ok if u don't like his music, not your stuff or if the sound it's inmature for you BUT just about sex? I am trying to understand how cause i hardly disagree, it's really weird when people say that cause u literally can count the songs that are about sex and the ones that are not and...most of them are not, that's literally in an objective way. He does talk about love a lot tho, but a lot of it doesn't include sex, he sings about anxiety and his communication issues too, songs about himself ... I mean I get if people just listen to pillowtalk and then they were like...this is everything he is gonna do cause his lack of performances and promo in a serious way is huge so if u don't do nothing probably u are not gonna reach a bigger audience that can discover what else u can do apart from your biggest singles (and that's his fault only) but u say it as if u have listen to everything (idk maybe u did) and the few songs about sex are the reason and it's not, like I don't see how u can reach that conclusion... zayn doesn't have the best presence on stage, very related to his own fears, his childhood, mental problems and the band itself, the good part is that his voice compensate that, I am sure people could let that go considering how good vocalist he is but sadly it seems he gave up on presentations so he can't show it, those are the reason are stopping him to reach his biggest potential in "industry terms" cause probably he is not trying to come back to that again, idk. Your channel, your opinion. I bought Louis' albums first then Harry's. I like both, but to be honest something about Louis' lyrics and sound capture my interest more often. Harry is interesting in how he expresses himself too, but there's something that I am more attracted to in Louis' sound more often. I've also bought a few songs that Nail has done solo too. My daughter who is 16 actually likes more of Louis' songs a little more as well. They all are making it in their way, and I appreciate their music.
I think he also fits our generation (gen z) the best because he represents our music taste and our image the best, with being very open and modern about everything but also having songs that could be from the last century, he is very artistic and versatile, if you know what i mean

i'm probably just pissy cos i'm a louie but when he said louis' lyrics fell short, my heart kinda shattered. personally, i feel louis is one of the most underrated song writers of our generation. some songs of his (as a solo artist) where this is consistent are fearless, defenceless, and only the brave, among other masterpieces. his writing his genuine, it's straightforward, sure, but there are various interviews where he directly says that that style of writing is what he grew up with and grew to love and cherish, so he adopted it as a songwriter. and for the record, zayn's newest album, nobody is listening, is more personal, alot of the songs are about his relationship(s) and just himself in general. so, no, not all his songs are about sex
I can't quite explain it, but the moment 1D started and I took a look and listen to all the boys. Their personalities and individual talents, I knew Harry would be the one to make it the most when they split. Even while they were in the band and they didn't necessarily have a lead singer, I think a lot of ppl still subconsciously saw Harry in that role. He has a presence and personality that seems so authentic. He's a huge star, but he's never really acted like it? He's just a guy who obviously loves what he does. I still don't really know what I'm saying but he's just....Harry🤣 He's loveable and his music is incredible im so happy for him

They are ALL important to the success of the band, yes. If one of them was missing it would've absolutely effected their success. Id say as a fan, my favorite thing about harry is that he’s whoever the fuck he wants and lets everyone else be whoever the fuck they want. He doesn’t see everything as a competition to be the most famous or the best, he just does what he wants to because its what he loves. Its the fact that he helped me figure out who i was that makes me love him so much. He doesn’t get in scandals or drama every 10 days or try ti put down any own else, he’s just authentically him.

I do not agree at all, that Louis did not evolve. He had a very songwriter style album first where he managed to put things from the past to peace in beautiful songs, and then came Faith in the Future, which is a fantastic album, beautifully layered songs with brilliant lyrics and his unique voice. Authentic, genuine, totally honest and vulnerable. True, he is the next door neighbour guy, not the sparkling superstar that Harry is. But Harry's big plus is his outgoing character that is so charming and his kind heart that just comes across. It's not his music alone, it's the way he sees the world which is so positive (and we need that more than ever). I love Harry for who he is, but musically I prefer Louis' music by far ❤ He's got a beautiful unique voice, songwriting and lyric talent and he's so down to earth. They have in common that they never forgot where they are coming from❤❤

What difference does it make that Harry is achieving things "the other boys aren't"? Let Harry stand on his own among all his piers. Harry Styles is brilliant and has a huge fan base. But if you really want to compare (which is always so subjective) do so with the industry. And don't be sad when both Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift (plus others) surpass Harry on some of the records that are used to deem success. It's going to happen becasue of many reason( and those are subjective too).
Typing this before watching the video. Will add my response after finishing watching the video too. Before watching the video: Yes, he's made it. He's been at SNL twice in his solo career. Has won multiple awards. Even got a Grammy. Has 2 songs that topped Billboard Hot 100s charts, and his songs have the staying power. Adore You was on the charts for nearly a year. Fine Line was (perhaps still is, I am not sure) in Rolling Stone's Greatest 500 albums OF ALL TIME. From being in a boyband, to debuting in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, and now, he's been signed by Marvel for multiple films too. Has he made it? Yes. We're quite possibly witnessing the peak of a talent that defines the generation. A bit controversial take, I might be biased, but, he somewhat can be compared to Elvis from the 60s, based on his stage presence. (Not comparing the vocals, or the massive impact in rock-n-roll, etc. Styles is a pop-star.) Aside from the accolades and achievements, he's a humble person, so down to earth and makes me appreciate his talent even more! Now, let's watch the video! Edit: I watched the video! And I stick to my point! He's one of the biggest stars and manages to stay grounded. And you can see it in his eyes, that he's having fun. As someone said, it's Harry's world, and we're living in it. Harry is outstanding. After reading my comment if anyone thinks I am a H hater then let me clear myself, I love him more than I love myself. But one thing I gotta say, the other members are successful in their own ways. The reason why I opened this vid is because the thumbnail, as much as I appreciate the video, Im surprised why no one said anything ab how Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn are in black and white, looking like they completely lost it, which is not at all true. Its obvious that Harry has spread himself more openly and the hype over him is as it should be. But that doesn't mean the others failed, which is pretty much what I get the vibe of in most of the comments and the video. I love Harry (I think is obvs with my username) but for me the real reason is his charisma. Harry is the whole star package, and there is something about him that no matter what he do it feels awesome and cool. He has being like that since 1D days, people are crazy about him. But for me Zayn does have incredible music too and not all his songs are about sex, Fight of the Stars is such a beautiful and romantic song, his debut album has a lot of interesting songs as Rear View, but Zayn does not promote his songs and he does not seing to be very interesting in fame. So I do not think the other boys are making bad music is just that Harry has this type of aura that it is super special. Not a big fan of the songs of the other guys but just because of my music preferances but I want to said that people tends to forget that Louis is an amazing song writter too.

harry immediately was always touring and bringing music and always doing promo. especially in usa so his management worked that. louis doesn’t care about making it big but he cares for his lyrics and fans - he also has a lot of shi* that happened when he was supposed to tour. they all had issues such as zayn s performing anxiety. harry was always promoted in 1d as the cute flirt whilst niall and louis were dragged down. if u know how to appreciate them individually then that’s great. louis just started his tour and it was so fun. he sold out wembley

I’ve been a fan of Harry Styles fan from the very beginning, since his audition on X Factor. He was always the star. He’s so charismatic, witty, humble and talented. He doesn’t take anything for granted and he knows that his fans are the reason he gets all these opportunities, so he never treats fans as if they’re an inconvenience to him and will gladly give his time. There are countless stories and there is not a single story of him being anything but exceptionally kind and respectful. He just seems to be impossibly complete as a human being 😂
I agree but I also feel that it was very obvious that he was the management and publicity’s favorite during the years of one direction, and them making him the “main guy” of the five (which was unfair) most definitely gave him the advantage when they became solo artists :/
I disagree with your perspective about the boys. Louis besides his unique tone and voice what stands out more of him is his ability of songwriting. Songs like fearless, two of us, we made it, only the brave, etc, besides that they are lyrics really personal to Louis life they are relatable and shows a message to strength even in the difficult times and to keep going and be yourself. Zayn has said that he doesn't have voice training and still makes amazing songs with a crazy range, he has done 3 albums and not all his songs talk about sex. Niall has done a diverse type of songs but it has a good use of instruments and his beautiful voice that has a unique tone. Liam it is so underrated, he is the one that has a bigger range on his voice but with his album he wasn't allowed to write most of his songs which I think was weird because he and Louis were the memebers that wrote the most songs on 1D. There is a important aspect that you are forgetting and is management and the record label. Louis was stuck with Syco for 5 extra years, there are theories of why but the important thing is that he mentioned in interviews that he wanted to drop the album in 2018 or maybe at the beginning of 2019. Syco as same as other labels if they want to affect your image and career they can, just look what happened to Jojo or Kesha. If you look to the video of Britain's got talent contract they talk about how if you sign you basically give the rights to do whatever they want with your image, you don't have control, every move has to be approve by them. The owner of that show is Simon, who is owner of Syco, so similar and probability worse contract were sign by Louis and probably similar by the rest of the boys because they sign with labels that were own by Sony and at that time Sony had a partnership with Syco. With this contract doesn't matter how much effort they want to put in the promo or image, ultimately the decision is made by the record label otherwise you can get sued, they own you. Louis was stuck for five extra years with an album that couldn't realese and when he finally did, management and the record label didn't do a lot of promo, even with that he still broke some world records because of the fans and he won a record guiness of the most sell online concert by a male artist and he donate the money to charity. He is finally free of syco but he has acknowledged that his type of music is not for everyone that he could do pop just to be on radio but now he prefer to do music that he loves and that is success for him. For Zayn I think there are two factors first his anxiety he has talk about how it had affected him and that is why he stop doing live performances but he still does amazing music but he doesn't do a lot of promo, the second factor is his label/management they don't promote his music which makes more difficult for other people to listen but Zayn doesn't care he just wants to do music. I think without Liam I have more theories but I think his record label and management suck, they didn't promote enough his album, he didn't do a proper world tour, he didn't have control of the songwriting and after that he only has done single collaboration but not new album and it seems he is more focused in other projects but I sometimes think there is a problem behind the contract we will never know. With Niall I haven't keep up that much but I think he is so talented and deserves more promo. All are talented and the music they created are for different demographics and styles of music but not because you don't like their music doesn't mean you have to put someone down to make other one shine. Harry is so talented and has grown so music as an artist, I think his team has work really well on different aspects that Harry is interested in. His management has also problems in terms how they keep selling this image of him as womanizer and a sex symbol, just look the article about Don't worry darling for variety, there is nothing about the plot is just a talks about Harry's sex scenes. If you listen or read Harry's interviews there is a clear difference in what he tells on how he is and perceived and what makes him uncomfortable vs. The image of him is made by management and the media and sadly this is happening since he was in one direction. Even with that problem I think Harry is making huge steps in his career and his popularity is making more people knowing his music which I am so happy about because he is an amazing artist.. I just think there is not need to put the others boys down to explain your perspective on Harry, all of them are amazing.

Louis’ lyrics are not as groundbreaking as y’all claim they are. He wrote exclusively with a writing team in 1d who were hired to write songs, and had a large amount of co-writers on his album. Even some reviewers criticised his lyrics for being pedestrian. Also it’s a very popular opinion outside your fandom that Louis can’t sing. You can like his voice but many many people don’t. Louis also chose to sign with syco he was not forced to sign anything he didn’t want to. There are many personal things that went on in Louis’ life around that timeframe that could well be the reason for the delay in the album
@@MP-mq3qf Louis was the person who spoke up about wanted to be involved in the songwriting process and because of that the guys could be more involved in the album, which is was very important to them, and even they were other people working on on the songs they still were part of of the process we don't know to what extend, the songs are for a boyband they couldn't do everything they want, Zayn suggested a lot of songs and they were rejected because of it genre it was more r&b. It still think Louis songs on his album are relatable and with an important message that help a lot of people and he was still part of the songwriting in every song doesn't matter if they were two or five people involved as well, that doesn't take away from the meaning of the song. I have heard that and is their opinion, I think his voice has gotten better especially in this tour, if you hear him on youtube sing the cover of 7 or beautiful war he nails some notes that sound amazing but that is my perspective we don't have to agree and that is fine. The delay of the album could be for different reasons as you said I still think Syco was one of the reasons of the delay.
Yes, you can say Harry is more "successful" than the other boys because he's just not into music. He's an actor, model & an icon. It's all his hardwork. No doubt. But saying that others have not "made it" or are below Harry is just not right. Firstly, there should be no comparison because all of them are doing different things, different genres of songs and stuff. Secondly, it's upon them whether they want to do certain things which will paste them on the world or not. They all are very happy & content in their lives and I think that's what matters the most. & Niall's music or career is not "okay", it's brilliant. I think I can say without a doubt that he's the best musician out there. The way he plays around with different instruments, write from personal experience & also thinks about the feelings of fans. Have you heard "mirrors?" To put someone above the others, you should concentrate on their positive aspects rather than comparing and bringing others down. Here, solo fans are comparing the boys but I'm sure behind the doors all the boys would be so proud of Harry and each other because only they know what all hardships and troubles they've to go through to reach the stage they are at now. He is absolutely more successful than the others and is multi talented with music coming first he knows what he wants and goes for it and that's how it works and the other lads reach their own heights and that's all they can do they are grown men solo for much longer than than in the band and Harry and louis have their own bands and they are different people with different lives and success of careers that's life and as for Harry not liking music it is music that gives him his global superstar status and his other jobs are just done because he can.

I hear ppl say Zayn has potential...he has already proven himself and his music how effin capitalistic and greedy do you have to be? nothing is ever enough. People forget what Zayn achieved and without Harry's preferential treatment in 1D, without Harry's privileged and white networks that easily bring in social capital. Zayn was screwed by his label and x-factor and 1D management and racist 1D fans and racist uk tabloid media. The Grammys changed the rules so his album "mind of mine" would not be included then changed the rules again the next year. Yet despite that he has achieved many things, potential done. (Scandinavia is still very mono-culture, so some interactions and PoC experiences would not be I the lexicon or experience or even taught). Scandinavian countries can be super great socially, it's policies for its citizens are top notch... but other countries who have and would try to do the same for their citizens would get thwarted. Global South countries selling themselves and their resources to corporations, for example. I found out that norway is rich not only for its oil resources (which they own) but also for selling arms to other countries (some with human rights violations) perpetuating wars and destruction in other countries...creating refugees who possibly look to norway to live. It's a vicious cycle. Media doesn't really cover this 🤔 and so a narrative is spun. I think I've gone off topic and faffed on a bit 😅 i guess premise was just because we don't see it or know it or are not educated on it...doesn't mean it doesn't exist and effect how people navigate in the unequitable world.

I think the main difference is that Harry is an artist rather than only a performer. I never liked OD, so I'm super glad Harry is able to show his talent by himself. He's way better as a solo musician.
Gonna have to full on disagree with this the rest of the boys put so much effort into their careers they are just underrated and not noticed enough like Louis, Louis voice is incredible his song writing is amazing and his songs, Niall , Niall arguably is one of the best lyricists and has amazing vocals and songs , Zayns songs are not all about sex good years for example isn’t abt sex and his voice is outstanding and Liam Liam has absolutely incredible vocals his high notes and everything he didn’t even get to write his own songs and still doesn’t but his voice just makes all songs better he is amazing.And no I’m not doing this to put Harry down Harry is amazing his voice songs everything i just don’t find it right that people bring the rest of the boys down to prove he is more successful and well known. All the boys put 100% effort in but no one recognises it or acknowledges it. I do agree Harry's got everything you mentioned and far by the most commercially successful member of 1D. And being commercially successful does not necessarily equate to making the best music! I do disagree about some of the things you said about the other boys. Well the thing is Louis doesn't make music for charts and numbers or money. He makes his music for fans. If you've listened to LT1 you would comment "it comes short of songwriting". His lyrics and music has inspired many, myself being just one of them. (PS: I am a massive harrie and he is one of my top most listened to artists, but I said what I said)

Great video, imo he’s better for a multitude of reasons. Mainly because his writing and overall sound. But his personality, charisma and overall branding is excellent. He never appears to be trying too hard. He said in a documentary that he understood leaving one direction meant he might never get to that level of success ever again and he had to make peace with that. I think him doing that alone saved him. He never wanted to try too hard to be more famous than 1D. And in the same respect he was always willing to give 1D the thanks for getting him to this point. He never made fun of the music, or acted embarrassed by it. He still sings what makes you beautiful every show which is amazing. (Side note: meet me in the hallway is my favourite song by him ever as well!)

Harry’s been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community for over a decade now, whether it’s with charities or flag or comments. He still picked up flags in One Direction, he still made comments about his fluid sexuality. He’s said countless times now that he doesn’t label himself, and yet fans think they deserve to know his entire sexual history to decide whether or not he’s gay enough or straight enough to wear feather boas and wear rainbows.

If he develops a large LGBTQ audience because he’s supportive and open and fans can see that, who are you to tell someone that the support we’ve seen for a decade now is fake? For years now the gay community has had its own icons of straight white female pop stars and no one baits an eyelash at them being praised for being ‘gay icons’ or pandering to gay communities when they do the bare minimum. He’s just said in a magazine that he prefers to talk to friends about his sexuality and how it’s his experience. He’s absolutely right. If you are a fan of Harry and you get the chance to see him live, take it. It was an incredible experience I will never forget. Every single person was so happy to be there and so friendly. I have never in my life experienced genuine kindness on such a huge scale as one of his concerts. I love Harry, but I will be forever grateful for the way he used his platform and created the amazing community that I get to share with so many beautiful humans.

My daughter and I had our Harry concert cancelled due to covid here in Australia, our Money was returned to us, and four months later, they announced that he was coming to Perth, By the time his concert was a go, I was so sick I couldn't go, broke my heart like never before, I have not been able to get another chance to see him..Now with him taking an extended break who knows when he will be back, at 72, I just may be to late as I now have Vascular Dementia, talk about bad luck...😢😢

I personally think harry has been so successful also because he has mastered the art of staying ahead of the curve. he did 80s rock before 80s rock became relevant again (his first album). his second album was a pop masterpiece which allowed him to go mainstream, hitting the current trends of the time (summer pop, which allowed for high radio rotation), his current album is now a reflection of what harry’s personality and personal interests really are (we get more 70s and 80s synth pop and disco) and now he’s so famous and respected that he can really do whatever he wants and have a radio hit. he did the same thing with his fashion, changing his aesthetic to fit with his album and making it obvious that he is constantly evolving. when you master the art of making waves, it becomes easy to keep those waves coming. I think where his former band members fall short is their hesitancy to evolve. each one of them has maintained the same style and sound without much change. not to say it’s a bad thing, but in today’s industry it will not keep you relevant.

We definitely heard different Niall's discographies. The dude is a great artist and I love his music as much as I do Harry's he just doesn't have this aura around him the way Harry does. The audition thing is funny because Niall's and Harry's ambition levels seem to switch, that might be the 1D fame thing that weighed on Niall too much and again - 1D image that limited Harry's artistry. But it's funny how Niall came to the X Factor saying he wants to work with biggest people in the industry and sell out arenas - and he did. He said a few times he couldn't imagine himself doing anything else but music and I find it endearing and motivating. Harry just said music is what he wants to do - and he did but, like you said, it wasn't the only option for him. But now Niall doesn't reach for the stars imo, he doesn't challenge himself, doesn't push the boundaries the way Harry does, he just makes music e likes and I love him for it. Harry's constantly challenges himself and grows as an artist and it will definitely bring him a legendary status in a 5-10 years. I love him so much for it too.

I agree, Harry pushes the boundaries more. Niall has a comfort zone and he's not eager to leave it anytime soon. As an OT5, Niall has always been 'safe' in everything he does, so crying out loud his favorite past-time is golf.... love him though. He doesn't want superstardom he just wants to make music and golf. Same with the other members.
Zayn only wants to make the music he likes and he does care if it's well received or not and he doesn't perform live nor does he tour. Louis and Liam are more focused on parenting. They love music as well but they don't have the drive as performers and they are more comfortable behind the scenes writing and producing.
The thing with the 1D boys is that none of them are hungry for solo fame due to how famous they were in the 1D. Zayn developed really bad anxiety, Louis and Niall dealt with a lot of insecurity over their vocal abilities, and Liam is a recovering alcoholic. Not to mention that Louis is still recovering from the death of his mom and sister.
Outside of relationship issues, Harry was the only one of the boys to leave 1D in okay shape. The only thing he really suffered was that his artistry was suppressed because it didn't fit the band's image, same with Zayn whose songs were always turned down. I remember when Harry had painted his nails for a red-carpet event and the 1D team made him scrape them off before the carpet.
Anyways, as I said I'm OT5. I'm proud of them all, Harry gets to be himself and they all have more control over their careers and fame.

I would only argue with one thing, I don't have the expression that Niall had any vocal insecurities, he's got an amazing vocal and he had it from the very beginning, even from X Factor times. He developed it, sure, but it was fine before he went solo, too. The issue was that he wasn't trusted with more carrying parts of the song at the beginning of their careers, that's probably what you mean (if not, I apologize for assumption). It seems that first 2 years the label didn't expect much from him and Louis and that they were just a part of the team for them. Their artistry and personalities came into play later, when they grew up and had more experience little bit. It's kinda unfair to me tbh because Niall had the biggest musicianship about him in the group. His hearing and guitar playing are immaculate,he actually had less odd notes than most of the boys, but had the most difficult harmonies (not the main meldy like Louis or octave high like Liam but it's always modulated and it's the hardest usually). I am not an ot5, I don't know what it truly means but I respect all of them, but Harry and Niall music is a little more interesting to me))
@@OceanChild7 You are right about the label not trusting Niall and Louis in the early days, because they used to get the least number of lines, in the beginning, they would get less than 5mins of solo lines on the albums. This is one of the many reasons OT5 hates Modest. Due to this, haters used to criticize them and call them useless and untalented. And they internalized the hate. But they worked really hard to grow and develop themselves and while Niall has fortunately gotten a lot more comfortable with singing live, unfortunately, Louis has still yet to overcome it.
Louis always does this thing where he holds back from certain notes and sings within a comfort zone. There are many instances of him hiding his vocals behind the other members during their live harmonies. He did that a lot when he got too nervous. His singing voice is really unique and when he gets comfortable and does not purposely restrain himself, he sings beautifully, but those moments of confidence are still rare for him. I can't wait for him to overcome this and really show what his voice is made of.
It is ironic that Naill had such crazy harmonies and that Louis's voice was the foundation for almost all of the choruses. Plus, they were so talented at playing instruments and writing but never really got the respect they deserve. None of them got the respect they deserved while in 1D. But I'm glad people are finally giving them their flowers.
I think Harry was most people’s favourite, even right from the beginning of One Direction. I always saw him as the leader of 1D. But it never seemed like he was trying to do that, if that makes sense?

*Zayn could easily be right up there with him. He has an amazing voice and really great songs with great lyrical content. One problem is the label kept pushing for the up beat R&B songs that happen be be about sex in some terms. The public never got to hear everything else he had to offer. Second, his anxiety. With that mental toll, it makes it hard to be in front of thousands of fans, do interviews to promote the album, making appearances. It’s a big crutch. He’s got the look, the style, and above all a fantastic voice. The spotlight isn’t for everyone. But as long as he’s giving his fans music that he appreciates, they’re all for it. Including myself. Nonetheless, I do like Harry’s music. He’s heavily influenced by the past which reflects in his music and I can appreciate that. He puts a new spin on it. He has a great team behind him. I agree with you that Zayn’s voice is great but personally I find it hard to support him when he can’t do concerts. I understand why but putting on a concert for the fans is really the best way to say thanks for supporting them . Zayn is still making music but I feel he’s only making money from the fans without giving them a full experience. Yes I know he has anxiety but after all this time he should have had lots of help overcoming it. This is just my opinion and I know people won’t agree and that’s fine. I think the reason why Harry has made it in the music industry is not so dissimilar to why any of the greats of any other industry have made it - he’s kept his head down and tried to do a really good job at what he does and let the work speak for itself. He is very meticulous with his music and the way his albums and performances are put together and I think probably most people don’t realise this because he kind of steps out of the public light when he goes to work on an album, but he works hard as hell.
I agree with everything you’ve said and obviously he’s got great talent and charisma to back him up, but there are thousands of other talented and charismatic people who have short and sad careers because they forget that literally the best thing you can do is focus on your craft with all you’ve got and let the work speak for itself.

I only became a fan last summer, and this is all very accurate for me!! I loved his music once I finally heard it and the fact he has an incredible band made me really like him. And yeah I'd say its not so much a breaking norm thing that I like, but the confidence that's behind it.

Harry has said that he was afraid of making music he truly feels and wants as he wants to break free of the boy band image and become a serious artist. So hs1 was like the safest and most unique route he took to show who he wants to appeal to. But now he says his albums are getting more personal and fun as he said especially with the upcoming one. And being more open and vulnerable with his music really helped to gain peoples interest with him especially after fine line.
I like all of 1Ds and their solo careers but harrys speaks to me more especially who he is as person i feel should aspire to be
he's super inspiring in the way he's manifested essentially exactly what he wants. he might've felt insecure and felt like he played it too safe on HS1, but in my humble opinion, HS1 takes more risks that land than Fine Line. Fine Line felt like he settled into something he liked, but it didn't always pay off as hugely as some of the highs on HS1. they're both good records tho!

I think Niall by far makes the the best music. He was topping the charts with his first album and I’m pretty sure he had the most listeners. What really hurt him was releasing heartbreak weather a day before quarantine or he would be up there still.

Loved your video great analysis. Just one thing I'd like to point out as a harry styles fan for the past decade, besides the music we never say we love him cause he's breaking gender norms, we love him cause he's just being himself and is able to freely express himself the way he wants without caring about what others will say or think. Nobody outside the fandom talks about this but he has inspired so many of us to be ourselves and love ourselves the way we are. I'm so thankful to him not just for his music but also for his heart and how much he has influenced me and inspires me every single day.

ive been a Harry fan going on probably two years now, and I started off as more of an ot5, or someone who likes all of them, and I shrunk down to mainly just him and I think I agree with so much of what you're saying. a lot of people seem to write his success off as a byproduct of his attractiveness or think he just makes radio hits and I really appreciate the nuance and thought that you gave his fame out of 1D. I think in the end a lot of factors helped him to play the field really well when it came to having success out of the band. I really enjoyed Nialls solo album flicker which also ventured more into acoustic things but I think you're right in that some of the stuff still sounds like One direction which really wound up limiting his audience instead of growing it. I think Harry growing more out of the band and understanding that the fans were growing out of the band really helped him in his success. I think it was reassuring to have the One direction fans to fall back on after releasing a debut album, but I think that made it really easy to not branch out to new audiences and new music like Harry did. but yeah, TLDR you're so right!! you did a really good job with the editing on the video as well it looks really professional and good :)

I am trying to understand how cause i hardly disagree, it's really weird when people say that cause u literally can count the songs that are about sex and the ones that are not and...most of them are not, that's literally in an objective way. He does talk about love a lot tho, but a lot of it doesn't include sex, he sings about anxiety and his communication issues too, songs about himself ... Your channel, your opinion. I bought Louis' albums first then Harry's. I like both, but to be honest something about Louis' lyrics and sound capture my interest more often. Harry is interesting in how he expresses himself too, but there's something that I am more attracted to in Louis' sound more often. I've also bought a few songs that Nail has done solo too. My daughter who is 16 actually likes more of Louis' songs a little more as well. They all are making it in their way, and I appreciate their music.

i'm probably just pissy cos i'm a louie but when he said louis' lyrics fell short, my heart kinda shattered. personally, i feel louis is one of the most underrated song writers of our generation. some songs of his (as a solo artist) where this is consistent are fearless, defenceless, and only the brave, among other masterpieces. his writing his genuine, it's straightforward, sure, but there are various interviews where he directly says that that style of writing is what he grew up with and grew to love and cherish, so he adopted it as a songwriter.

I can't quite explain it, but the moment 1D started and I took a look and listen to all the boys. Their personalities and individual talents, I knew Harry would be the one to make it the most when they split. Even while they were in the band and they didn't necessarily have a lead singer, I think a lot of ppl still subconsciously saw Harry in that role. He has a presence and personality that seems so authentic. He's a huge star, but he's never really acted like it? He's just a guy who obviously loves what he does. They are ALL important to the success of the band, yes. If one of them was missing it would've absolutely effected their success. Id say as a fan, my favorite thing about harry is that he’s whoever the fuck he wants and lets everyone else be whoever the fuck they want. He doesn’t see everything as a competition to be the most famous or the best, he just does what he wants to because its what he loves. Its the fact that he helped me figure out who i was that makes me love him so much. He doesn’t get in scandals or drama every 10 days or try ti put down any own else, he’s just authentically him.

I do not agree at all, that Louis did not evolve. He had a very songwriter style album first where he managed to put things from the past to peace in beautiful songs, and then came Faith in the Future, which is a fantastic album, beautifully layered songs with brilliant lyrics and his unique voice. Authentic, genuine, totally honest and vulnerable. True, he is the next door neighbour guy, not the sparkling superstar that Harry is. But Harry's big plus is his outgoing character that is so charming and his kind heart that just comes across. It's not his music alone, it's the way he sees the world which is so positive (and we need that more than ever). I love Harry for who he is, but musically I prefer Louis' music by far ❤ He's got a beautiful unique voice, songwriting and lyric talent and he's so down to earth. They have in common that they never forgot where they are coming from❤❤

What difference does it make that Harry is achieving things "the other boys aren't"? Let Harry stand on his own among all his piers. Harry Styles is brilliant and has a huge fan base. A bit controversial take, I might be biased, but, he somewhat can be compared to Elvis from the 60s, based on his stage presence. (Not comparing the vocals, or the massive impact in rock-n-roll, etc. Styles is a pop-star.)

Harry is outstanding. After reading my comment if anyone thinks I am a H hater then let me clear myself, I love him more than I love myself. But one thing I gotta say, the other members are successful in their own ways. The reason why I opened this vid is because the thumbnail, as much as I appreciate the video, Im surprised why no one said anything ab how Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn are in black and white, looking like they completely lost it, which is not at all true. Its obvious that Harry has spread himself more openly and the hype over him is as it should be. But that doesn't mean the others failed, which is pretty much what I get the vibe of in most of the comments and the video. But let me also tell you, if you think walls or only the brave, dlibyh, defenceless, copy of a copy of a copy are not enough example of what Louis is capable of as a songwriter, I highly doubt you'll ever think 1D's late album's songs are good enough, cause Tomlinson wrote 75% of it.

I love Harry (I think is obvs with my username) but for me the real reason is his charisma. Harry is the whole star package, and there is something about him that no matter what he do it feels awesome and cool. He has being like that since 1D days, people are crazy about him. But for me Zayn does have incredible music too and not all his songs are about sex, Fight of the Stars is such a beautiful and romantic song, his debut album has a lot of interesting songs as Rear View, but Zayn does not promote his songs and he does not seing to be very interesting in fame. So I do not think the other boys are making bad music is just that Harry has this type of aura that it is super special.
Not a big fan of the songs of the other guys but just because of my music preferances but I want to said that people tends to forget that Louis is an amazing song writter too.
In addition to all you said, he had the A-list girlfriends. And one of those made him the subject of her songs which cemented his legend as they were big songs.

harry immediately was always touring and bringing music and always doing promo. especially in usa so his management worked that. louis doesn’t care about making it big but he cares for his lyrics and fans - he also has a lot of shi* that happened when he was supposed to tour. they all had issues such as zayn s performing anxiety. harry was always promoted in 1d as the cute flirt whilst niall and louis were dragged down. if u know how to appreciate them individually then that’s great. louis just started his tour and it was so fun. he sold out wembley

I’ve been a fan of Harry Styles fan from the very beginning, since his audition on X Factor. He was always the star. He’s so charismatic, witty, humble and talented. He doesn’t take anything for granted and he knows that his fans are the reason he gets all these opportunities, so he never treats fans as if they’re an inconvenience to him and will gladly give his time. There are countless stories and there is not a single story of him being anything but exceptionally kind and respectful. He just seems to be impossibly complete as a human being 😂
I agree but I also feel that it was very obvious that he was the management and publicity’s favorite during the years of one direction, and them making him the “main guy” of the five (which was unfair) most definitely gave him the advantage when they became solo artists :/

I disagree with your perspective about the boys. Louis besides his unique tone and voice what stands out more of him is his ability of songwriting. Songs like fearless, two of us, we made it, only the brave, etc, besides that they are lyrics really personal to Louis life they are relatable and shows a message to strength even in the difficult times and to keep going and be yourself. Zayn has said that he doesn't have voice training and still makes amazing songs with a crazy range, he has done 3 albums and not all his songs talk about sex. Niall has done a diverse type of songs but it has a good use of instruments and his beautiful voice that has a unique tone. Liam it is so underrated, he is the one that has a bigger range on his voice but with his album he wasn't allowed to write most of his songs which I think was weird because he and Louis were the memebers that wrote the most songs on 1D.
There is a important aspect that you are forgetting and is management and the record label. Louis was stuck with Syco for 5 extra years, there are theories of why but the important thing is that he mentioned in interviews that he wanted to drop the album in 2018 or maybe at the beginning of 2019. Syco as same as other labels if they want to affect your image and career they can, just look what happened to Jojo or Kesha. If you look to the video of Britain's got talent contract they talk about how if you sign you basically give the rights to do whatever they want with your image, you don't have control, every move has to be approve by them. The owner of that show is Simon, who is owner of Syco, so similar and probability worse contract were sign by Louis and probably similar by the rest of the boys because they sign with labels that were own by Sony and at that time Sony had a partnership with Syco. With this contract doesn't matter how much effort they want to put in the promo or image, ultimately the decision is made by the record label otherwise you can get sued, they own you. Louis was stuck for five extra years with an album that couldn't realese and when he finally did, management and the record label didn't do a lot of promo, even with that he still broke some world records because of the fans and he won a record guiness of the most sell online concert by a male artist and he donate the money to charity. He is finally free of syco but he has acknowledged that his type of music is not for everyone that he could do pop just to be on radio but now he prefer to do music that he loves and that is success for him.
For Zayn I think there are two factors first his anxiety he has talk about how it had affected him and that is why he stop doing live performances but he still does amazing music but he doesn't do a lot of promo, the second factor is his label/management they don't promote his music which makes more difficult for other people to listen but Zayn doesn't care he just wants to do music. I think without Liam I have more theories but I think his record label and management suck, they didn't promote enough his album, he didn't do a proper world tour, he didn't have control of the songwriting and after that he only has done single collaboration but not new album and it seems he is more focused in other projects but I sometimes think there is a problem behind the contract we will never know. With Niall I haven't keep up that much but I think he is so talented and deserves more promo. All are talented and the music they created are for different demographics and styles of music but not because you don't like their music doesn't mean you have to put someone down to make other one shine.
Harry is so talented and has grown so music as an artist, I think his team has work really well on different aspects that Harry is interested in. His management has also problems in terms how they keep selling this image of him as womanizer and a sex symbol, just look the article about Don't worry darling for variety, there is nothing about the plot is just a talks about Harry's sex scenes. If you listen or read Harry's interviews there is a clear difference in what he tells on how he is and perceived and what makes him uncomfortable vs. The image of him is made by management and the media and sadly this is happening since he was in one direction. Even with that problem I think Harry is making huge steps in his career and his popularity is making more people knowing his music which I am so happy about because he is an amazing artist..
I just think there is not need to put the others boys down to explain your perspective on Harry, all of them are amazing.
This is why I hate 1d stans who like to throw harry under bus for other boys but the fact is harry is now 1000× more popular and successful than other boys and also he got promotion coz ppl like to see him and labels invest their money on those artists who can return their money by their success and harry is like that.....

Louis’ lyrics are not as groundbreaking as y’all claim they are. He wrote exclusively with a writing team in 1d who were hired to write songs, and had a large amount of co-writers on his album. Even some reviewers criticised his lyrics for being pedestrian. Also it’s a very popular opinion outside your fandom that Louis can’t sing. You can like his voice but many many people don’t. Louis also chose to sign with syco he was not forced to sign anything he didn’t want to. There are many personal things that went on in Louis’ life around that timeframe that could well be the reason for the delay in the album
@@MP-mq3qf Louis was the person who spoke up about wanted to be involved in the songwriting process and because of that the guys could be more involved in the album, which is was very important to them, and even they were other people working on on the songs they still were part of of the process we don't know to what extend, the songs are for a boyband they couldn't do everything they want, Zayn suggested a lot of songs and they were rejected because of it genre it was more r&b. It still think Louis songs on his album are relatable and with an important message that help a lot of people and he was still part of the songwriting in every song doesn't matter if they were two or five people involved as well, that doesn't take away from the meaning of the song. I have heard that and is their opinion, I think his voice has gotten better especially in this tour, if you hear him on youtube sing the cover of 7 or beautiful war he nails some notes that sound amazing but that is my perspective we don't have to agree and that is fine. The delay of the album could be for different reasons as you said I still think Syco was one of the reasons of the delay.

Yes, you can say Harry is more "successful" than the other boys because he's just not into music. He's an actor, model & an icon. It's all his hardwork. No doubt.
But saying that others have not "made it" or are below Harry is just not right. Firstly, there should be no comparison because all of them are doing different things, different genres of songs and stuff.
Secondly, it's upon them whether they want to do certain things which will paste them on the world or not.
They all are very happy & content in their lives and I think that's what matters the most.

Scandinavian countries have recently gotten super tough on immigration and seem to be following in the vilification of asylum seekers and refugees. Like most countries, the in-depth complexities of issues get overlooked (wars initiated by powerful / colonial nations on countries creating refugees and asylum seekers) and not reported, and people like refugees, POC, indigenous, blsck, brown, mixed race are used for policies, acting tough stances to get election or re-elected.
Scandinavian countries can be super great socially, it's policies for its citizens are top notch... but other countries who have and would try to do the same for their citizens would get thwarted. Global South countries selling themselves and their resources to corporations, for example.
I found out that norway is rich not only for its oil resources (which they own) but also for selling arms to other countries (some with human rights violations) perpetuating wars and destruction in other countries...creating refugees who possibly look to norway to live. It's a vicious cycle.
Media doesn't really cover this 🤔 and so a narrative is spun.

I think the main difference is that Harry is an artist rather than only a performer. I never liked OD, so I'm super glad Harry is able to show his talent by himself. He's way better as a solo musician.

I do agree Harry's got everything you mentioned and far by the most commercially successful member of 1D. And being commercially successful does not necessarily equate to making the best music! I do disagree about some of the things you said about the other boys. Well the thing is Louis doesn't make music for charts and numbers or money. He makes his music for fans. If you've listened to LT1 you would comment "it comes short of songwriting". His lyrics and music has inspired many, myself being just one of them.
