That was one wild ride of a run! I feel like I was holding my breath the entire last hour in the Ashlands. Breathing again feels amazing, lol. I was literally yelling 'slash die!' at my screen when you 'slash resetspawn'ed. It didn’t work, lol. Really hope no one heard that. Editor Thread is back! He used to give Gamer Thread a hard time, but this time, I agreed with almost everything he said. Editor Thread's commentary made it feel like hanging out on the couch with a good friend, watching your favorite game together. Thanks for the extra (extra) effort with the commentary! Honestly, every time you speak, I can’t help but get lost in your voice. It’s got the perfect pace and flow for commentary. I agree with you on the Berserker Mead, it definitely has a steep learning curve. I used to get one-shot when I first started using it. I’ve found that it pairs really well with Root Axes, especially for bosses that need to look at you to attack. I haven't tested any Berserker Mead strategies for Fader yet, though. What was up with the Asksvin spawns in Fader's arena? Was it something like 10 of them total, with 4 showing up during the fight? KeReiiZi! You didn't show the door ratio! It was 53 doors opened versus 6 closed, pretty fantastic! Regardless of how you feel about this run, it was an awesome watch! Thanks for sharing with us! PS. Game *IS* hard!
Thanks so much! Yeah, I guess Editor Thread was pretty friendly this time :D I can't believe I reset spawn there, don't know what I was thinking! Jeez, did 4 askvin really show up during the fight? I guess I was in a berserker haze, but yeah, there were a lot! I was so scared to do that fight with the fortress right there, but that the same time I didn't wanna clear it. I realized right after I stopped recording that I didn't cover the door ratio! I never went back and looked, that *is* pretty good! :D
Well, it took me 12 days, off and on, to watch the second part of this run - phew! I'm glad I kept watching. I don’t expect any kind of response, because MY response is pretty late, but I still wanted to say a couple things. I knew what was coming from everyone’s comments, but it was still quite something to watch. I have to echo others and say that it’s so interesting to see your failed runs - your critique and speculation on what went wrong, what you could have done different, etc. are all really great learning moments. Really - thank you for sharing this. It’s another reminder of the huge amount of commitment, endurance, thought and focus it takes to complete this, which makes it all the more impressive to me, especially knowing there are tons of hours put in that we never will see-it's mind-blowing when I really think about it. Thank you!
Incredible run despite the couple setbacks. Some of your combat moments were next-level. In part 1 the 2-star seeker + soldier combo was completely nuts for you to deal with without dying. And that one infested crypt was so crazy I'd never seen anything like it. It was like 200+ enemies! I also love how you and the troll worked so well together in pt1 lmao. I love these speedruns so much. I'm feeling sub-13 would be possible for you but now the problem is the impending Deep North to completely ruin the 7-boss speedrun. 😅
Interesting strategies to not fight the mobs in the fortresses. Shows your amazing skills at the game to not die every 2 seconds. Also your quick math skills to know just how much and what to throw out for inventory mgmt. As for the portal situation near the end...there's a LOT going on and I know how precious fine wood is but maybe a spare spare hidden portal named Z at home would insure you don't have that problem in a record no death run. But, you are right, you could just die and rename on this one...i forgive you for the cheat! That's my go to option LOL
Video idea. Just your speedrun and/or valheim strats explained. (I watched part 1 on low or no volume. Watching this one with volume.) Just thought more explaination of what your quick goals are minus the obvious kill the boss. I'm not a speedrunner, just find it fun to watch. Merry Christmas
I might consider doing a high-commentary speedrun but I stilllll don't feel like I have it figured out well enough to make a highly edited speedrun guide. Nick Rawcliffe on RUclips has made some speedrun explained videos that are pretty good. They don't go into all the logistics required for 6&7 bosses but there are tons of great strats thoroughly explained
@@cody945 you can. When I was there I think I had neither wood nor portal? And maybe I was already heavy? I only have to wait for the soldier if I have to wait for the soldier. It was a gamble and I lost. They'll often spawn on repeat in a given area, kinda like stone golems
not gonna lie i'm a bit disappointed you cheated to cancel out your reset spawn move. i know this isn't for a world record or anything, but it's still bad form.
Yeahhh, to each their own, I guess. I entered the command, took a break, and then before I took any further action I decided to "pretend I didn't put in the command." To me it feels a lot like moving a chess piece and--before taking my hand off the piece--deciding not to make that move. Not even a blip on my cheat radar, honestly (since I wouldn't be submitting the run officially). Part of it is about content. It's pointless and tedious to make that run a bunch of times. I learned my lesson. Subjecting my viewers to that run wouldn't cement the lesson any harder. Beyond content, that run from spawn was so utterly pointless and I was so annoyed that if I didn't do what I did I might have simply stopped the recording and deleted the whole thing, which also would have been super annoying. I took the path of least annoyance and I am sooooooooooooooo far from apologizing for it that it's not even funny.
@@ThreadMenace for sure man, i didn't mean to sound salty about it. i guess i was just a little shocked to see a cheat in a speedrun, but like you said, it was never for record time and you are focused on good content to offer. myself, i don't even have the console enabled when i play, it's just too easy to screw things up and cheat.

Holy cow...that starting mistlands area was epic! Never seen such a wide clear spot.
@@dalenei6104 love spots like that!
"Onion things are happening"... I love this guy
Played on normal default. In mist land trough 6 dungeons and that was it. I'm doing it again on hard combat I the man. You too.👾
cool to see how you used the new meads used in a speedrun
Have they patched the powerhammer down into the charred fortress tower? I needed a battering ram.
@@sgtsixpack I've done it more recently than the most recent patch. Takes a while but should still work!

Can't you get all kinds of iron in sealed towers? And wasn't there one nearby? Why wait for a soldier
