Ingredients
• Bourbon 3 oz
• Simple syrup 1 oz
• Maraschino cherries
• Orange (1 rind)
• Angostura or orange bitters 3-5 dashes (to taste)
• Ice cubes (to preference)
• Ginger ale to the top
Supplies
• Rocks glass
• 2:1 oz jigger
• Bar spoon
• Fruit peeler
• Lighter (optional)
Directions
1. Using a jigger, measure 1 oz of simple syrup and pour it into a rocks glass.
2. Pour 3-5 dashes of bitters into the rocks glass.
3. Measure 2 oz of bourbon into the jigger and pour into a rocks glass.
4. Stir ingredients for 15 seconds.
5. Add 2-3 maraschino cherries into the rocks glass.
6. Add ice to the rocks glass.
7. Optional, peel a single rind from an orange. With a lighter, gently light the rind to excrete the natural oils from the rind and place it into the rocks glass.
8. Add ginger ale to the rocks glass filling to the top.
9. Gently stir.
10. Drink & enjoy!
