- On Sunday 6th March 2022, 'Train Truckers' Allelys Heavy Haulage were tasked with transporting DR77322, a Balfour Beatty Ballast Regulator, from Colchester to West Ealing.
First off, we see the track machine in the Balfour Beatty compound before the truck arrives and very impressively manoeuvres through the car park and down the side road beside Colchester Power Signal Box.
Next up, we sight the Ballast Regulator being winched on to the low loader (at 16 times speed in a timelapse!), before we visualise the ensemble making its way out of the compound and over to Three Crowns Road to then head via Northern Approach, Urbis Romanae, the A12 and M25, before finally reaching West Ealing, some (what should be) around 100 miles later.
Finally, it's across to the newly built Urbis Romanae to catch the convoy heading towards London (not as 7Z09 which is headcode that it used to run as before it was given to Colas Rail's DR77327!), and on to West Ealing.
Some quick facts about DR77322:
Type: Plasser and Theurer USP5000C Ballast Regulator
Built: 1981/1982
Weight: 44.2 tonnes
Length: 17.7 metres
Width: 2.62 metres
Height: 3.7 metres
Power Unit/Engine: Rolls-Royce 6-CTFL
Transmission: Mechanical/Working Drive Hydraulic
Max Speed: 45mph
Assigned headcode: 7Z09
The Ballast Regulator is believed to have last worked in 2017 and hasn't worked since due to a currently unknown major failure.
Thanks for watching, South East Train Hub.
Cannot understand the mentality of a firm NOT putting notices up to stop those bad Parkers. Kudos to the drivers, rotten tomatoes to the firm for making it so hard.
The skill of that driver and his trailerman was without doubt absolutely outstanding
I don't care if you have a steerable trailer, that is one hell of a truck driver. Cudos to you. 18:38
Some absolute diabolical parking there
It's the mark of the professionals that they make it look easy. That was some *seriously* good driving there but I bet they swore gently at the car drivers who parked their precious vehicles there!
Thank you for sharing this with us.
at what time in the video was the good driving? there were one and later with the loading two guys who were looking and steering at daylight and good weather conditions. rright hand driven truck so he can always look ot of the window for this manouvering. i did some jobs like this more than 20 years ago alone at nights and rainy weather. had to get out of the cabin lots of times for meuvering, ut did it without help and without lots of experience. so here in the video is absolutely nothing to say "good driving skills"...
video, or it didnt happen
@@MrDriftspirit Steady on fella! I see where you ae coming from, like yourself I have done this sort of work without steering axles and steersmen. (me 1970s and beyond) But I honestly think that job would not have been possible without modern equipment. plus as far as we could see the driver did not have to shunt forward at any point to align the trailer. so, good driving is probably a fair comment.
@@andrewharvey6400 I agree, Driver & Steersman did well 👍
@@andrewharvey6400 and he reversed up a hill
Can't help but admire the skill of these heavy load movers!!
Very impressed. Well done drive and crew.
And that is why alleyes are as good as they are
why not shift the cars better still why are they their in the first place bad management
Probably because the prats moved the cones blocking off those parking spaces and left their precious cars there.
Can not understand why the single line of cars to the loading area and the nearest car parking zone was not closed off as more than sufficient car parking available in the rear car park.
Yes it seems illogical why so much hassle that wasn’t needed
why was so many cars still in car parking spaces when this load had to be reversed out
Super Video 👍👍👍👍👍👍 !! Viele Grüße aus Hamburg, Germany, von Michael 🤓 , Frohe Ostern !!
I would have had to turn that reverse bleeper off specialy on a sunday 😬
Why not just use the rail network to move it?? why stick it on a truck?? Why is the depot so difficult to get a large truck into??
Excellent,what more can be said?
THIS MAN IS THE CREAM OF THE CROP IN TRUCKING, NOT SURPRISED HES IN ABNORMAL LOADS AREA OF TRUCKING, HE IS THE KING OF THE ROAD? AUTONAMAS TRUCKS=0 VS VERY SKILLFUL TRUCKER=1 #TRUCKERWINS #KEEPONTRUCKIN #REALWORLDTRUCKIN
Typical of a train maintenance depot, want units moving by road, yet don’t bother to clear the whole car park area for the trucks to get through without struggling
Great video shame about camera clicking all the time.
Brilliant work you guys unfortunately these drivers have to put up with the ignorance of outher drivers all the time it's a case of can't read or just being ignorant,
Wow...... men move machine on a trailer.... who would of thunk it? Get a life ffs
Perhaps if you could use correct English, you might understand. Would of thunk? Would have thought!!!!
@@migranthawker2952 correct sherlock. Now bore-off freak
