The first hot spring, Spencer Hot Spring was in a beautiful location. I recommend you check it out. It is near Austin, Nevada. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset and sunrise. The soaking was great but my skin dried out so fast. I know it was due to the cold but I think the silty soil had something to with it also,
After I left the Spencer Hot Springs, I went into Austin. Video Link • Exploring Austin, Nevada

Another masterpiece Diane. I love how you blend the various settings and music as you tell the story. The wild burros were a nice touch!

Great video and overview of the hot springs. 18 degrees and you still went in for a soak. I would have been crawling as far down in my sleeping bag as I could to stay warm. Nice job and information on your video.

West Coast Hiking Trails thank you! The soak actually helped warm me up. It was great. It hurt getting in though. I am glad you liked the video

You look amazingly beautiful I am a Hot Spring fan myself so I will definitely be looking to find those and if you think those donkeys are mules her cute I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Oatman But they come down into town every morning and they are so cute you can even pet them I have pictures of me one was kind of giving me a little bit of a snuggle hug and the babies are real cute as well but watch don’t have your dog with you because they do not like dogs one mama took after my dog fortunately I was able to snatch her up and push the donkey away kind of got my heart race in a bit safe travels

A lot has changed since you have been here, if you out this way again we will be in Austin would be kool to meet up an show you a couple other secret spots an go to spencers again if ya like. The dryness is do to the alkalinity of the water, plus the altitude, and, the salt the grows naturally everywhere out there at that spot. Take care happy trails

It doesn’t look like there is restroom. If I camp over night, where do I go?

You would dig a hole 6" and cover it. Or you can buy a portable toilet and bring it with you. Here is one that I recommend but there are a lot of options on amazon. Most use a bag that you throw away later in town. amzn.to/3vwA5me

Thank you. I hope people use that instead of digging hole. I can smell it through the screen 😂

Are you allowed to camp anywhere in within the vicinity? How was the road conditions from US 50 to the springs? Thanks for the vid.

Oh Yes, There are a lot of places to camp. I camp quite a bit away from the springs because that is just etiquette. Hwy 50 was great but the dirt road from the main hwy is wash boarded. It took 45 min to go 13 miles.
