Have u thought about using different springs on the coil overs to achieve a better grip I’m new to c5 corvette but I am a old road racer from the 90s and I understand suspension to a basic level so do u still have them installed on ur c 5 now ? Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to make all these walk through instal videos. You helped me through multiple upgrades. Great tips for a budget build i was about to buy the pricy lingenfinter cooler kit you saved me some cash to put towards suspension.
Thanks for the review man. I live in an area with fun windy roads but they can be rough in corners and I feel the ass end kick out or also the effects of having the load across the leaf springs. Been looking at Fortune Auto for a bit so hearing your words and seeing you drive the ring has got me feeling pretty confident in the purchase. Drive on bro!
@@Beezy_Builds just sent them an email to inquire about spring rates, I made sure to mention you and this video. Hopefully that will get you some traction.
@@markcrisp7315 I think it really depends on how you drive and what you build the car for in my opinion my car way pretty low on bolts and I really felt the negatives of the leafs once I lowered it. For 95% of corvette users coilovers probably areny necessary.
@Beezy_Builds I’m new to the C5 game. I recently got my 500 series coilovers. I was wondering if you have to tighten up the top bolt the sits inside the shock tower. The bolt that’s above the dampening adjuster. Fronts. Thanks in advance.
Whats up brother it should be pretty sug but not cranked down to my understanding, but please reach out to fortune auto via a call and they will square you away
Wsup again bro I got one more question for ya, when you dialed in your front coilovers was your spring perch close to the bottom perch? I maxed out my lowering bolts (fronts) and I have a decent distance between my spring perch and lower perch and I still have a good 4 finger wheel gap. Have 18s in front of that might play a role. Thanks in advance again💯👍🏽🙏🏽
I feel like I vicariously mod my car through you haha. My Z06 has 17k miles and is pretty much untouched so trying to leave it that way. But I want to mess with it - bad! Excellent video as always man.
Haha Tim just enjoy it brother they arent rare cars, low mileage only helps the next guy who buys it. If you want to play with her, play with her brother. Mine only have 25k on her when I got her, and shes at 60k I love driving it
@@tekleinsc Hey Tim, I swapped out the whole suspension on my base 98 with a complete ZO6 setup(Bars,Shocks,Springs) and it's night and day but I saved All the parts so if I sell it to a purist he can swap it back. Brax is right,Mess with it, it wont break.
Thank you for the review , I don't drive my C6 on the track but there is some winding mountain roads and desert flat land where I live. I'm not on it to hard either and just enjoy cruising it with the top down. I was going to have a mechanic friend install them , do you recommend the ride setting at 10 or something more aggressive . Thanks in advance for your time.
Whats up Lamar thanks for checking out the vid if your just cruising I would recommend the 500 series for more of a planted feel, did you contact fortune auto already? 10k front 8k rear would be super comfy but still feel tight. I would ask them for their recommended settings for your type of driving
My question in the video unboxing the coilovers is controversial, but if it were me I would take a good grinder with bits design for aluminum and strategically cut-away all the excess aluminum that facilitated the composite leaf springs and including the swing arms. If the coilovers perform that much better and you decide not to go back to composite this would be very strategic because it is all about weight to horsepower ratio!
@@Beezy_Builds did you weigh all the parts coming off in comparison to all the parts going on and what are the noticeable differences in handling, if any?!
Cool camera work, and the background music you chose was perfect was the perfect rythm for both the POV camera work, and your speaking cadence. Very good editing! Give my car build vid a look and like if you deam it worthy. Algorithm is killing my channel lately! No clue why.
Thanks brother! The feedback is appreciated, I checked out your Z buikd and it was impressive all you did in such a compact space while working in the dark alot!
I reached out to Fortune auto and they agreed to provide me with a 5% discount code make to use it "Beezy5"

@@MrKarlfebel I think they are good but if I did it again id run silvers or Viking coilovers personally, they seem to be better dialed for our chassis
