Thanks for the easy information provided. I have an iPad Pro A1673 that has a problem with the “Power” button not clicking, it is depressed in the iPad and seems loose. Could you recommend a seller that provides OEM parts? I will be needing the water proofing adhesive as well, please advise as to where to purchase, I do not want to get any knock-offs. Is this an easy fix, and what are your recommendations? Thanks for your help!
I replaced the battery as shown in this video. It turned on successfully, but some of the touch panel is no longer responding. Do you know what the possible reasons are?
That small flex ribbon piece on the side that snaps to the middle of the battery tore when I was struggling to take out a replacement that was faulty. Please help Is there anyway to replace or repair that strip ?
You need to release the glue mounting the motherboard from the back in order to get the battery connector out @12:50. You can see him break off the connector on the old battery. Leave it under the motherboard.
Was told by three pro repair places in my city ipad pro 9.7 was 87% impossible to fix! “We will try , but we will most likely break it!” Turns out the reason they break them is because they rush the job! 45 mins from start to finish is not enough time to properly do the job. If you rush yes you can break it! It was fiddly but take your time and work slowly its a easy job! I called up all the companies that said i could never fix it my self , and called them on their B.S. ! Also saved over 100 dollars including the battery tape and tools!
I had a problem using this method I couldn’t get the battery connector over the screw pole so had to break off the back piece of the loop this has left me with an intermittent fault where the iPad keeps switching off ,I think it’s because the connector isn’t staying put even though have tightened down the screw, I think you probably need to remove mother board then attach battery and replace both together, and advise would be helpful, the battery has charged and is holding charge, I have rest the iPad.
thank you for your video. I changed my IPad Pro 9.7". Battery and iPad works well. but battery doesn't to be charged. I want to ask you using image files, Can I ask you E-mail or SNS?
Great tutorial video. Changed my battery and it's working great. *Tough going with connecting that little tab of the battery getting it over the securing screw. o_0 lol
Just sent my iPad Pro 9.7” into Apple for a new battery install. $112 so I figured it’s a fair price especially seeing the iPad is fast, has no issues besides the batt. They sent back saying theres “additional damage’ & wanted $400 to fix. Ive shown the pics Apple provided with the alleged damage to 8 other people. Those people can’t find what Apple claims is damage. It’s obvious, they just didn’t want to take a few mins to fix a battery when they can be making $400 for roughly same amount of time. BUT WHY FUCKING OFFER TO REPLACE THE BATT? They absolutely knew, ran a battery test while on a chat session w/them. Fuck Apple!
Glue is not the correct thing to use, needs tesa tape for a professional job. Also you should NEVER connect or disconnect the screen without isolating the battery contacts, lucky you didn't blow the backlight on it

thanks for this great guide!
Glad you enjoyed it!
They should make an easily replaceable battery.
Apple will never do that lol. They want full control on the hardware to charge pricey repair fees.
Time travel back to pre 1960, when stuff was made to last and had user serviceability in mind.
What glue do you use to put the screen back on?
organic honey 😂
