- This episode contains a CUSTOM / DIY walk-through Rifle / Gun Sling created by me.
We'll go over:
-Why I made it
-How I made it
-What I used to make it
-Insight into the process.....
I used to do airsoft and I was always partial to the 3-point sling for my rifles. it kinda gave you the best of both worlds as you could drape it in front or to the side for ease of access when switching to and from your sidearm, or you could fully sling it onto your back.
Nice slings. 👍
Cool video I’ve seen a few different versions of slings but now that I’ve seen actually how to make them I’m definitely gonna give this a try! Thanks
Excellent video sir ty
Great video great work!!
Great video ❤love it
Great Video Man! I love tutorials! Never thought to use leather for slings that's a great idea!👍 Thanks for sharing!🍻
4feathers! Thanks! Appreciate you stopping by :)
Great video man, I never thought of making or purchasing slings for my figures, which makes total sense.
I use the black rubber band I buy from Dollar tree.. But will switch to the leather strap. Thanks for the heads up I enjoy videos like this Thanks.
Very nice. I will give a try 🤘
Thanks for the tips. And thank you for the videos (from a french viewer).
Wow! Nice to have you on board! Thanks for watching across the ocean.
I know those buckles must exist as thing you can buy on their own, but i've so far not been able to find them, which is a real shame as they'd be so handy for making the slings adjustable.
I do sometimes use 3mm or 4mm coloured Elastic too. The Face mask straps are a good idea for those who have the black ones available to them.
As for the ribbons dip them in floor polish they won't flop around so much then and it makes them a bit less shiny too.
With how he's using a metal clip to hold them I'd say stitching the end over to prevent the end slipping would work. Oh and a cheap and easy alternative to jewellery wire that may even be more in scale is ordinary staples.
Jewelllery cord is not terrible either though it is not flat. That leather might be useful to make an adjustable shoulder protector too I can think of a lot of uses for that such as leg holster straps for example.
I sometimes have to make a storage means for an accessory like a knife or remote control so these sort of techniques for that too.
Great info and thanks for watching!
A simple one is black twist ties ( posable) or rubber hair ties, stretchy and match the plastic look
I think it would look nicer to make a quick connect piece to fasten it to and glue that to the gun where it would normally go
I don’t know if I could fashion a quick connect that tiny .. and thanks for watching
Great video, but I can I ask where is the pod from in the background?
It is called MS GENERAL HIBERNATION POD MT-02
I've used a material called Rexlace and little craft jewelry loops for the 1/18 scale Joes; I imagine it would look fine for 1/12 scale too.
Just said the same thing. Flex rex and jump rings. But I can't find flex rex in the stores anymore. Only the brand you just mentioned in which is shiny and plasticky. It's not the same as flexrex. Flex rex was like a rubber leather. I still have a roll from back in the 25th days. We used to turn marauders into really bad ass guns.
sling at the end would be easier to work with regular staples. Staple gun ones are very thick
Great video, what Thor head did you use on that custom valaverse figure?
I *think* , been a bit …Thor Infinity War Marvel Legends Cull Obsidian BAF Action Figure
I’ve had the best luck with ribbon and super glue.. pain in the ass to work with.
Single point slings are not preferred for male plumbing. I use a 2 point sling with a quick release to ready also allows to be slung high on the chest so you can access sidearm or other important gear. Great idea for slings for my military collection.
What about female plumbing?
@@therealunclassified I don’t own it so I can’t speak to that lol.
Back in the day with the 25th we used flex rex and jump rings.
It's gross grain ribbon 3/16" or 1/4" the buckles used are 5-6mm you can get 1/8" grossgrain ribbon it's closer
2 strips of balloon string with bread tie glued on both edges, it can look good if don't right.
I use a lot of balloons and the strings or ribbon as well. But I've just started using loofah brushes from the dollar store the kind that are made from the mesh to make mesh pockets for backpacks cargo nets for vehicles net clothing just about anything net related.
I actually started using rubber bands for slings.
Where did you find those ribbon slings with the metal rings?
eBay .. do a search for “1/12 weapon sling” or “gun sling action figure “
Try paper clips & figure 8 it on the tip of needle nose pliers
Professor Falcon!
Lol .. my attempt at Dr. Venom lol
I used the strings from black disposable mask
@209edd whats the figure at 5:00 mark/?
That’s a kitbash … it is a marvel legends, Thor head with a blowback Valaverse body
Thanks for watching
Does anyone know what size rubber band is used here and or on Gridiron Studios?
This is what I used , thanks for watching,
2.37inches, 1.4mm/ 0.056inch in width and 1.4mm/ 0.056 inch in thickness.
@@209edd Thanks man, I'll get some and let you and the other viewers know how they work out 👍
Yo, I saw that your badges had real chain! What chain did you use??
I went to a hobby lobby and found the thinnest chain they had in jewelry and used that…
Let me see if I can locate it in my “treasure trove” of parts lol
@@209edd thanks king, been looking for chains for my Spawn
