I remember listening to Ed before it was cool...
I remember my niece who was in her late teens, telling me this new guy *Ed Sheeran* was good. I thought he was shit at first, but after a few months of hearing his songs constantly on the radio, they started to grow on me, and I've liked his songs ever since.

I got fascinated with grime music which is how I discovered ed sheeran, definitely liked his early stuff more and then his latest album hit which is closer to his older style. It's always awesome too see how artists change and grow over time. I always feel so proud when someone I stumbled across by chance grows their audience. It's weird because it's not my achievement, but it's so awesome to remember your views, likes, and purchases helped them grow bit by bit.
It was honestly a bit weird to see how fast he grew because once the fanbase started growing it exploded so quickly, and I hadn't seen that quick of growth before with artists I enjoyed listening to. Fascinating all the same. Been on a grime relisten lately and I saw this and had to comment.
@@GodzillaofTokyo I'm not surprised Sheeran did well because he was original and doing things his way. Same with Stormzy cameoing his mum on two of his videos; hilarious and I knew he'd go far.

Griminal's underrated on this imo, the voice & irregular flow with speed changes adds everything to the track. Anyone that jumps on a track with 2 of the best artists in the country is always gonna be overshadowed, but Grim adds another dimension imo. @@glennchinyangarara8225 Yeah, Devlin remains very respected even if he's stepped back from the mainstream. Ed Sheeran obviously had success beyond anything he could have imagined here. The other two kind of vanished which is a shame because they're not bad. Still, you pick 4 young up-and-coming artists at random and see two of them go on to success (different kinds of success - Devlin has the credibility and repuatation, Ed has the record sales) that's a very good strike rate.
