    always comforting to know that you still wear pads a lot of the time. Encourages me to do the same; which helps me get out there and push a little harder

      Pads are 10/10 worth using. Kneepads and wristguards have saved me from so many injuries that would have forced me to cut my skate sessions short early. I like the low profile kneepads that fit under a pair of pants, drawback being it's way easier to rip holes in them.

Well I just stumbled onto this amazing youtube video called "ROLLERMAN - Electric Rollerblade Suit" It reminded me of you and your inventive ways. Cheers! and good luck with your skate hunting!

    I guess you could pretty much skate in any boot out there and the question is which brand will give you the better deal, but.. you know well how the Adapt boot works when it comes to responsiveness, especially a skater of your style. A tremendous amount of differences once you work that full-carbon boot Adapt offers compared with most boots made using a mix of fibreglass & carbon. You’d gain more comfort but lose responsiveness.
    Seba CIM offers you the possibility to play with the fibreglass/carbon ratio once you order one. A full carbon Seba CIM is of course possible. I own 2, they work very well but they can’t beat the Adapt boots. That’s my personal experience.

      A change was inevitable as my needs shift, but I’m glad to have had my carbon leather ninja skate experience! I think where I will lose microseconds, I’ll gain mobility and support. I’m very excited about a few new skates; it’s fun! 🙏👊🏼

      Sounds fair enough Bill.
      By the way, I have that very same Endless frames you skate on. I skate mostly if not always on 84 mm wheels.
      All 3 frames in 84 mm wheel setup - Seba, Endless & Adapt Symetrics Hyperframes are positioned the same under the boot.
      Only the Adapt Symetrics Hyperframes’ back wheel is sticking out to the back about a centimeter or more.. which obviously gives you a bit more length..
      This is such little difference but once I switch to Seba or Endless I feel less stable.. and it got nothing to do with the rocker.
      Do you experience the same since you skated Adapt for a while now?

    I don't know how I got here but this was so refreshing to watch and listen to!
    I think the YT system knows I've again been thinking of making off-road electric roller blades (basically two 8" mountain board wheels with a brushless motor between powering each leg. Take that sucker off road or rough sidewalks like Cape Town has).

    I remember a long time ago my old Bauers, had the option to flip the holes on the 1st & 4th wheels, so I also tried the banana rocker too. The mobility was great, but back then even I wasn't a strong skater to begin with so it was a huge adjustment. When you mentioned about really paying attention, I related. Never tried again.

  • @jakobc1998
    @jakobc1998 Год назад +1

    I've skated with endless and NN frames as well as with a pretty aggressive 'natural' rocker back when I was using flat frames - the more subtle rocker you get with endless and NN is great for urban skating! I love the maneuverability, but you do expend some more energy vs. a flat frame (learned that the hard way when I started training for the Northshore marathon - flat is definitely ideal for that kind of distance)

  • @bartstevens4035
    @bartstevens4035 Год назад +1

    I love my Endless frames. I've got the Endless 4x90/3x100 and the endless 4x100/3x110. I use the latter on longer rides and it allows me to do great distances with ease. They really flow well over cracks, various tiles, cobble stones, rough asphalt, tram rails etc. At the same time the natural rocker provides more than decent agility. The 4x90's are great for having fun in the city. Not as fast as the 100s but still fast enough and very agile. In both cases the solid frame allows me to do fast stops with confidence. There is no 'wobble' in the frame when you turn or break fast (something I really noticed with cheapish 3x125mm frames). And I know that solid frame won't buckle when I jump, drop from heights or roll down stairs. These frames (especially the Endless 90) allow me to do slalom and skate parks in one trip. I have the FR1 boot on the 100s (they don't fit under any boot as the mount is quite long) and the FR2 boot on the 90s

    • @Skating-Southern-New-England
      @Skating-Southern-New-England Год назад +1

      I love skating my 80mm full rocker, and I used to do a lot of distance that way, until I tried the Endless 90's.
      I skate both setups now, but you nailed it as far as the Endless 90's go.
      It was the best thing for me, for distance.
      I still get to "play", and not need to worry about much at high speed anymore. (exactly as you mentioned)
      I got myself into some very dangerous situations at high speed doing distance skating in my 80mm rocker, and even had my first nasty fall while skating with SkateBoston, early last season.
      For me, the Endless 90's allow me to do at least double the miles, much more safely, finish a session with a smile, and be able to do it again the next day (or even a few hours later in the same day).
      I loved the workout I got going long in my 80mm rocker, but while skating with a group, I found I was working way too hard, for most of 2 hours, and it can take away from the fun of it.

    • @pangiokuhli255
      @pangiokuhli255 Год назад

      @@Skating-Southern-New-England Totally agree. Endless 90's are the sweet spot for me. I mostly do a combo of wizard and city skating, and the wheel size handles most cracks and uneven terrain. I'm still able to keep up with my friends on 3x125 but obviously won't be winning any marathons lol.

    I really like the look of that Micro boot, but yeah, that rocker looks quite extreme. Feels as though a rockered 243mm frame would be just too twitchy for the urban environment, especially over some choppy ground. Can you flatten it out? I know Flying Eagle have those dual-position axels that can be either flat or rockered, do these have the same? Looking forward to see what you end up going with.

    Have you considered just a front rocker on those frames? That's the set up I prefer. You have the benefit of stronger pushes, more contact area for your slides. You get some benefit of extra manoeuvrability to a flat set up but don't have that fall back feeling with a full rocker.

    I get a rattle too on the 5X80mm Dragon frames from NNSkates. Have you tried that frame? But it is quite fast - thinking because of the 5 wheel setup. I do have the endless 4X90 (xX100) LR, and 4X100 (3x110). I love the 4X100 because of the stability it provides and is much smoother and forgiving going through city roads.

    Hey Bill, is there any inline hate up in Canada? Down here in the states I can't say because my skates are presently collecting dust (awaiting faster bearing swap) but I have gotten slack (insults) from passersby just for skating in the 2010's. Americans are very trend-/impress others-centric. I imagine Canadians would be much more intelligent. Just curious. I skated Toronto in 2008; great city to skate except for the tram tracks but any good skate can handle that.
