@@TheJmack90 Clearly you dont read enough. I also said DMtDK too. With those two cards on the field, meta players have a hard time beating you easily causing them to surrender or keep the game going more than a OTK.

I feel like Branded is just a better Dark Magician deck, at least the pure Dragoon turbo build. It’s unfortunate because everything feels like it conflicts If I go pure DM, then REF conflicts because I can’t summon anything else. I might try a build that uses the DM engine that goes into Beatrice and turbos out Judgment of the Pharaoh
I have a pure decklist where you go for norito and illusion first turn and have guardian chimera and baronne de fleur in ED. Most consistent way to play through handtraps and have a possible negate still up
Nice deck, man! What do you think about adding in Grinning Grave Virus, Full Force Virus, Spell Wall, or Piercing the Darkness in the main or side? I'm running almost the same deck as yours minus the Kuriboh, added another Wyvern, 2 insights, and added Return of Red-Eyes. I'm finding myself playing around Skill Drain and Evenly a lot.
spell wall is not great but the others can be good in certain match ups and could hold a place in the side deck! piercing can be main decked at like 1ish it's a bit of a weird card since it's unsearchable
Question: now that you have played with both numerous times, do you think this "pure" version like this one is better, or you prefer the Branded splash where you go Lubellion > Dragoon? Or, to ask it differently, in your opinion, with the axiom that we try to turbo Dragoon, does a deck requires Branded Fusion but we just go "pure" for flavour reasons?
@@LOZA-DM I mention it because a friend lost to my Dark Magician deck with his relinquished deck because although he was prepared for the Iblee lock with his Linguriboh he had no Spell Trap removal fpr my Eternal Soul and the gamestate was basically DM Vanilla Beatdown
Love the decklist. One card I use quite a lot is beat cop in the extra deck. Being able to put a counter on eternal soul that can even be used under skill drain has saved a few duels

There can only be one and soul drain instead of skill drain so dragoon stays live. Now they really are locked down. Also, spellbook package in lue of most of that dragoon package means more draw power and more likely to pull floodgates. Spellbook of knowledge of rod is a plus one if rod eff goes off.
Sure, if you feel like you're going to draw one three of that often. Dedicating 9 cards of your deck to get one boss mon that everyone expects and is prepared for just doesn't seem like the best strategy. Lol plus your secret village works against you when they out dragoon. Now you're forced to play a spellcaster that they can almost certainly pop. I've played DM almost exclusively and I'm telling you, I almost never win with dragoon. Dedicating a 4th of your deck for a card everyone knows is coming and knows how to counter, isn't good. Especially since you're locked down after ref. But play how you want. It's your life, I'm just living in it.
Would you every try the side decking the ritual engine? Seems stronger than banking on judgment, and correct me if I'm wrong but you could still run your dragoon turbo for the main deck right?
@@jobejacobs62 correct me if I'm wrong but dragon knight is a semi searchable "lock" that nets you a single target remove. Where are the ritual engine gives you a highly searchable monster effect lock for the turn while setting up a one turn ko for the next turn. One seems to net more advantage with more reliable access minus the side deck. Doesnt the ritual variant have plays into dragoon and knight too? I can not speak on them I dont know those plays or what is need to make them happen. @loza judgment method is the most splash able with the most freedom since you keep the side deck but it's only a 33% chance of getting it. I'm pretty sure there a middle ground in all this.
Loza, I think you must have figured out but Ref is actually Kashtira’s ultimate counter. Trust me i fought 2 kashtira player in the locals and i won. I will show you how i won. First, their board have Arise heart, number 89 and kashtira shangri-la and Unicorn. Act ref summon goon. Then kashtira arise heart will act its eff, we will let him do it. Then act goon eff destroy arise heart first. Then they will use Unicorno eff, negates it and dragoon will go to 4000 atk. Then destroy number 89 and i won because they can’t beat dragoon 4k atk and if they go zeus they can’t beat me because i still have negate Sorry, my grammar sucked
Very nice deck list as always Loza! I'm running a very similar build, but I took out REF since my locals already put Ashes back into their decks... Can't tell you how good Secret Village is. I play 2 in the main and shut out a few players with it. Poor Drytron player couldn't even play round 1 or 2 of our match. LOL One thing Master Duel has made me realize is how strong DM the Dragon Knight + Eternal Soul are. I've been making that play much more often because of how safe it is, especially in the late game, and no one has anything that can out it. Especially these new Traptrix and their stupid "Trap Hole" cards. Great video! Just wanted to share some things to think about or try out!
@jobejacobs62 I'm starting to think that! We don't have a perfect way to make Dragon Knight, but when we do the win is right at our fingertips, especially alongside a floodgate. Dragoon is great when pushing for game with an OTK, or to get that omni negate on board.
You mentioned that its not mandatory to send red eye to the grave with ref but this is wrong! Konami made a statement when ref was released that you must use red eye with ref
that's not what I said at all. I send REF does not send for COST. if it did, you'd send materials then get ashed. REF Always has to use vanilla red eyes hence why I always play it.

Dragoon is literally a fusion of DM and rebd and his effects are a mix of both negate/protection from dm and burn/destro from rebd. Your whole argument is bad considering that rebd only has like 1 (rebd slash) monster that negates vs DM who has like 3 cards (paladin and 2 traps) and on top of that the protection is also a dm thing considering that some of the cards have built in protection and rebd only has 1 with flare XYZ You're just d riding rebd and hating on dm for no reason lemao

Thats hard to explain but basically they are very useful and easy to make extra deck monsters. They can help get Rod into the GY turn 1, or DM into the GY to loop eternal soul + circle. You can also use link monsters to climb into Accesscode (a link 4) and pop ur opponents field. Id suggest checking out some of my combo vids etc that might help explain this stuff better.

So here is my question. How many tops have u gotten with the red-eyes fusion build? I have topped 4 out of 5 weeks without the red-eyes build. I have beaten the top decks with my build and had no success with the red-eyes build. And there is alot more ways to turbo out dragoon without the red-eyes package, which is alot less bricky.
I disagree. Theres no easier way to turbo goon than REF Every other option plays into more negates, uses more cards and is just, all round worse. You can say you have topped 234832 locals with ur build, but REF is always just the better card. 1 for 1 card advantage, gets you a boss monster, puts DM in GY.
@@LOZA-DM ok but here is the downside of REF. U can't do anything else. U can't use rod to search circle or eternal soul for another interruption. So if u only have just dragoon then it's only one negate. Which doesn't really do much. Plus only running one circle and one eternal soul is nothing. At least run two of each that way there is a back up. The deck runs around those two cards to keep bringing dm back and banishing problematic cards. Plus many decks can beat dragoon pretty easily so u don't wa

I honestly think I made dragon master more than dragoon bc there r more outs to dragoon. Yes u play for fun but u need to build ur deck to win as well and for consistency. Plus instead of summoning just one dragoon u can possibly summon two without REF.

U just have to play board breakers or handtraps. U use REF u can't do rod and souls combos at all. Plus REF can easily get negated bc more people play ash this format. But u do u bro. If u can win with it great if not try not using it.
if the sole goal of the deck is dragoon + village, you should main 3x metavers. and if your opponent wants to play into the stupidity of normal summoning effect veiler/ecclesia to bypass village, rivalry of warlord could devastate those decks
Like you, I played Magikurboh once at locals thinking 'it has some cute interactions'. Used it once, guy responded with Called by the Grave to negate. Never used it outside casual play since
Well that isn't terrible. A called by sacrifice is pretty decent. If anything that is the weakest reason not to use it. There are far better reasons to not play it.

Dragoon pass. Every deck can out that shit. Clearly he doesnt do enough practice in TCG otherwise this list wouldnt exist. Should main 1 apprentice to go into norito with dm girl (s/t negate) and then 3 illusion 3 preps 2 advanced rituals (mill dark magician to summon monster negate). One of the most basic boards. Your deck is Normal DM aetup and then pray to heaven you draw red eyes fusion for your only summon
REF is best way to play the deck imo if you dont like it, check out my other builds apprentice was mentioned towards the end of the build and i have multiple videos on combos with her. shes kinda bad tho lmao neg 1

I was testing dark magician with the branded engine. x3 branded fusion x1 Fallen of Albaz. and I think it's more consistent than using red-eyes

Cards to take out can be 1 insight, 1 upstart, 1 prep, 1salvation, whichever floodgates suck in the match up or all of them if playing 2nd etc

I’m getting bk into yugioh why do you use link monsters? What are their purpose ?
Thats hard to explain but basically they are very useful and easy to make extra deck monsters.
They can help get Rod into the GY turn 1, or DM into the GY to loop eternal soul + circle.
You can also use link monsters to climb into Accesscode (a link 4) and pop ur opponents field.
Id suggest checking out some of my combo vids etc that might help explain this stuff better.

So here is my question. How many tops have u gotten with the red-eyes fusion build? I have topped 4 out of 5 weeks without the red-eyes build. I have beaten the top decks with my build and had no success with the red-eyes build. And there is alot more ways to turbo out dragoon without the red-eyes package, which is alot less bricky.
I disagree. Theres no easier way to turbo goon than REF
Every other option plays into more negates, uses more cards and is just, all round worse.
You can say you have topped 234832 locals with ur build, but REF is always just the better card.
1 for 1 card advantage, gets you a boss monster, puts DM in GY.
@@LOZA-DM ok but here is the downside of REF. U can't do anything else. U can't use rod to search circle or eternal soul for another interruption. So if u only have just dragoon then it's only one negate. Which doesn't really do much. Plus only running one circle and one eternal soul is nothing. At least run two of each that way there is a back up. The deck runs around those two cards to keep bringing dm back and banishing problematic cards. Plus many decks can beat dragoon pretty easily so u don't wa
@@LOZA-DM u don't always want to go into dragoon. Decks like branded can beat it with mirrorjade, danger darkworld can beat it with Ning, accescode can beat it easily. I honestly think I made dragon master more than dragoon bc there r more outs to dragoon. Yes u play for fun but u need to build ur deck to win as well and for consistency. Plus instead of summoning just one dragoon u can possibly summon two without REF.

@@LOZA-DM my dm deck can go second without REF by playing hand traps that can go first or second like imperm. Gozen is good going second bc it can be a board breaker as well. U just have to play board breakers or handtraps. U use REF u can't do rod and souls combos at all. Plus REF can easily get negated bc more people play ash this format. But u do u bro. If u can win with it great if not try not using it.

if the sole goal of the deck is dragoon + village, you should main 3x metavers. and if your opponent wants to play into the stupidity of normal summoning effect veiler/ecclesia to bypass village, rivalry of warlord could devastate those decks

Well that isn't terrible. A called by sacrifice is pretty decent. If anything that is the weakest reason not to use it. There are far better reasons to not play it.
I mean, if they Called By a Magikuriboh you should feel good, that card sucks.

Dragoon pass. Every deck can out that shit. Clearly he doesnt do enough practice in TCG otherwise this list wouldnt exist. Should main 1 apprentice to go into norito with dm girl (s/t negate) and then 3 illusion 3 preps 2 advanced rituals (mill dark magician to summon monster negate). One of the most basic boards. Your deck is Normal DM aetup and then pray to heaven you draw red eyes fusion for your only summon
