Very impressive build. The drywall mud made an easily shapeable base which worked great because you were only making the buck from which the boat parts got molded. Working smarter, not harder.
Yeah u def want to mask up for this maybe not other things but sanding that? Look at ur csr hood it is fine particulate and floats into and on everything. Other than that which is your choice by all means, looks like a cool build

Great job bro super cool! Do you know what kind of kayak you started with? Like the brand or company name? Dimensions maybe? I've been looking for something similar to do the exact same thing! A sit in motor kayak with steering wheel. Hope to do as good a job as you did
Looks great, but the motor should have been mounted slightly lower. You’re losing a lot of power because the prop sticks slightly above the water it looks like. What a cool boat!
When he shows it in the garage it actually looks a little too low. Could be the camera angle but either way you loose significant power from being too high or too low. Still a stellar build!!
@@custombuildsonly3909I had a similar boat with a 30hp motor It was very fast and stable in pretty rough water …. Until I slowed or stopped! The weight height of the motor made it scarily unstable unless powered on!
I am trying to use fiberglass over foam but i hadn't much success the fiberglass melted the foam. it destroy the boat I was building out of foam. what did you spray over the gyps coating do it protect the foam from the resin ?? What do you suggest to put on the foam if i want to fibreglass it
Hmmm for sure it will melt it. You could use epoxy resin that is used for carbon fiber, that doesn't melt it. But what I did was spray the gyps coating with primer paint that is used for cars and some hardmetal filler spray. Or else you could cover it with some layers of tape
Great work guy, but do yourself a favor and wear a mask.......you will live longer.
Oh man. Just into this and I thought you was wack with a 500lb kayak of bondo.. then you popped the skin off and blew my mind! F yeah your the dude.
this was sick! great job!
I’ve fiberglassed the interior of 4 boats and really enjoyed seeing your creativity in mold making. New to me 🤔🤔🤔
Very cool boat, and looks like so much fun to drive! Love the color scheme too, thanks for the great video!
You should be selling skins made from the mold for other enthusiasts to build on, and even completed versions - looks great man
@@sixxgunz3774 yeah the only problem is time haha cause I'm always doing a different project😅

Good for you lad have a blast
This dude has building knowledge, quite interesting!
Very nice build 😊😊😊greetings from Germany
Nice build
Amazing content awesome work and music very talented 🎉🎉
Except it's a boat not a kayak
This thing is pretty damn cool! I want one!

As soon as you put any kind of motor on a kayak, canoe, or rowboat, you'll need a licence, even if it's a wind up elastic motor !
@@Incognito-fe8cw not in Malta brother, from 30hp up you need a license.
that thing is awesome!!!! but for god's sake man wear a respirator or a good mask when you sand fiber glass

how many HP in the engine and what kind of plaster you used?

polyester resin melts foam. have to use epoxy resin. i've used MAS epoxy with fast hardener for years with good results.
You can use PVA glue on top of the foam, that will isolate the foam from polyester.
nice build, the music is wack though
Stick a 50cc on there 😅

@mozzyviator2939 I mean 50hp sorry my bad.
All that to go 8 mph?
no, all that for a feeling of accomplishment and stepping back and looking at it and saying to yourself, "I built that with my own hands"
