Steamed Hams, but it's dubbed by memory in one take on my phone during my lunch break in my car.

- I had to export this 11 times because of visual glitches that didn't show up in the preview, and eventually resorted to recording the preview and overlaying that over the glitched parts.

I've never watched The Simpsons.
Edit:
Before you comment, be aware that I have already heard that many people are saddened that I did not sing, nor did I make a fire truck noise.
This is of course a completely valid criticism/opinion, just be aware that it has already been said many times before.
(I'm going to have an aneurism I swear to god.)
Give this man a TV!
this is just criminal. sick dub btw
Still to this day?
thank you for the info toothpaste man
Well for me, Steamed Hams is the first Simpsons clip I've seen.
Since then I have seen more bits and pieces from the show and like two full episodes, but that's it.
You know, these voices are quite similar to the ones they do on the Simpsons
Oohhhoh noo,

I love how this feels like the "behind the scenes" rough draft for the episode being explained to the actual VA's for Superintendent Chalmers and Skinner before they begin their recording session in the booths, just put over the actual animation from the episode.
The voices were spot on too, holy shit lol
Yeah, I got that same vibe
Especially with him explaining some of the scenes
I think the only thing that could have made this sound even more like an early take would be if Skinner said “Dinner” instead of “Luncheon”, but that wasn’t the point
I was expecting this to be good, but not in a "shockingly accurate" kind of way. I loved the dry explanations of what they're doing during the parts with no dialogue, too.
Feels like how the writers describe the scene

Yeah, It was a recording that I was sending to my friend and I don't think they had seen the original at that time.
The best part is him vocalizing the transitions
this is way more competently made than i assumed it was gonna be
I would rather be underestimated than overestimated. Thank you for watching!
Ahh yes, the GBA video version of this episode. So nostalgic!
Critically speaking, 96 out of 100. The only thing off was the exact pauses in and between each line. Call it the talking/resting speed. The intonations and emphasis matching HOW they speak is just *mwah*. Nobody ever does this right on anything, Im overjoyed at how well done this is!

I like how your Chalmers gets more accurate as the video goes on like you were finding your groove with him, while your Seymour is near perfect throughout.
Your impresssions are of course fantastic and sound just like the characters, but also your memory is photographic lmao.
No my memory is average, I've just re-watched it a lot and recited it a lot before the sitting in which I recorded this, but I appreciate the compliment.
@@toothpastemanreal I didn't realize you were doing this without being able to see the skit until about halfway through. That's really impressive.

The ''YES'' from Seymour is just perfect.

Then I rewatch it
why does this feel like it was recorded in the 1920s
i feel like i must clarify that i absolutely love the vibe
If I walked past a parked car and someone was in there reciting this bit to themselves I might die
You might.
This is bizzarely incredible. ONE take?? Dude you absolutely nailed it. Your impressions are perfect.
I watched this before seeing the title, no click bait and a decent voice over. Solid video
For a quick runthrough from memory, you got the inflections down pat. And your Skinner voice is bang on the money-genuinely sounds like his actor doing a first take.
I can tell which parts the timing is off because the clip had to be sped up and slowed down to fit the timing of the recording which makes me think that the voice Recording was done on the fly from memory without watching a screen to follow the lip flaps or show the duration of the transitions- therefore,
This is actually top tier.
Yeah exactly.
That's what it is.
well toothpaste man, you are an odd fellow, but i must say... you do some good impressions
What a personal feat, to have memorized Steamed Hams.
Literally perfect lmao, I love the explanation as the scene changes 😅
Mad respect for knowing it by heart, I too watched its edits so many times that I can recite it any time even tho I watched the original episode only once many years ago xD

Steamed Hams cover?!
Sometimes, the pitch is even spot on. Like when Skinner discovers that his roast is ruined. The inhale has the exact same tonality
Steamed Hams except it’s a re-run of a show from 1959
Skiiiinner with his crazy explanations, the superintendent's gonna need his medication, when he hears skinners lame exaggerations there'll be trouble in town tonight

halfway through i forgot that i was watching a voiceover because the voices are genuinely convincing enough to pass
Bro read the stage directions 💀
About 30 seconds in I completely forgot it was a voiceover
anytime me or my brother says yes to something we start reciting the entirety of steamed hams like this
I plan on re-doing my own dub of it for the one year anniversary of mine, so honestly I think this kinda helps me figure out how to make my voice sound closer to their *actual* voices.
Chalmer's voice is in the back of your nasal cavity and you can sometimes feel a bit of air come out of your nose as you do it, Skinner's voice is in the bottom of the throat with your nasal cavity cut off air-wise.
Hopefully that helps.
@@toothpastemanreal I think it does somewhat, thank you!

The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Fuck and Suck".
