How to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on a Gigabyte motherboard - AMD Ryzen - UEFI - Windows 11

- Here's how to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure boot on a Gigabyte motherboard running a Ryzen 5, you will want to turn on these settings if you've just built your PC and want to install or even upgrade to Windows 11 as it requires a TPM module to be installed int he system, fortunately, the AMD Ryzen CPU has this function built-in so can be enabled. The secure boot feature will help increase system security e.g. against malware etc. Thanks for watching and if you have any questions please ask.

Thank you! 🙏🏼, wasn’t able to find where the fTpm was until I found this video.
Thank you very much, brother, it worked perfectly. I spent hours watching videos and searching on google until I found your video and it worked the first time. Highly recommended
Thank you so much man! I had the un-supported device thing on the bottom right of the screen, but now it isn't there! Thank you so much man. Keep it up.
It worked! Thanks bro.🎉
will this fix the valorant secure boot thing??
So, I don't have the option for AMD CUP fTPM. What do I do if I run into this issue. Do I need to update the motherboard software?
thanks bro its 4PM and im searcihng for this problem about 2-3 hours thanksssssssssss!!!
No problem
Thx dude this worked for me
After clicking at amd cpu ftpm several options appear: Enable dTPM, Enable ASP fTPM, Enable Pluton fTPM. Does anybody know which exact one to choose. Thanks in advance
Did you figure it out ? I’m confused a bit too
same problem here. 😑
In the video he said ASP fTPM
What if there Stands no Trusted Computing 2.0 but trusted computing
Same.
i didn’t find the amd. fptm in miscellaneous please help
Thank you for your video, When I amble the secure boot, my windows doesnt boot, it just keeps going into the the bios:( Any ideas why? I want to update to windows 11
When I tried to do it, it was already enabled, so I went back but it still didn’t show up, I tried to find other videos but nothing
try turning the setting off, rebooting and turn it back on as something my have gone wrong. alternatively you could try resetting the bios to defaults, if that doesn't work consider a bios update.
@@DanielJohnHowTo I did try and do that but it still showed up nothing, and since it is my first time with a PC I don't know much as to reset or update a bio.
just press the “restore factory key” under boot
Once enabled, when I restart my computer, it gives me the blue screen and says it can't start because there is a device that is not connected, I had to set the setting back to normal in the BIOS and use a USB with windows to repair the start and fortunately nothing happened to my computer, but in the end, I couldn't enable the TPM :c
DZIĘKUJĘ from Poland ❤🎉
Ty miales to nas trusted computing bo nie mam tego
All good but, idk why it doesn't save, i just disable the option but when i look still desactivated, i go back into de bios and the options are the same ( CSM activated and secure boot disabled) its like a restart.
Thank you!
Yo im at the thing where ur supposed to enable it at 1:48 but there isnt any option to turn it theres only these options,
rgb fusion
LEDs in sleep hibernation etc
intel platform trust technology
3DMark01 enhancement
CPU PCIe Link speed
PCH PCIe link speed
VT-d
And
trusted computing
If anyone knows how to fix it please let me know!!!
Same boat
Same
I dont have the amd cpu option in my BIOS, do you have a solution?
dude same, you find a fix? i think you need a tpm 2.0 chip for your motherboard. im having this same issue.
Me to I have no idea what’s wrong
If your Bios is set to be able to accept CSM boots, the TPM 2.0 menus wont be displayed (since these technologies are not compatible). You can just turn off the CSM compatibility in order to access the TPM 2.0 settings
Almost got it. Stuck at the last step, My "miscl settings" only shows two items,
- "PCIe Slot Configuration"
- "3DMark01 Enhancement"
Any help would be appreciated :)
(Also, Happy New Year, 2025!)
With the red & black one I ended up finding it under Peripherals at the top
I got through it all but when gojng into miscellaneous the option just wasn’t there anyone know why?
If you are on intel and not amd, the option will be under "intel platform trust technology" (PTT)
@@raphaellachance3343so i just have to enable that and im good
I followed everything you said regarding enabling secure boot but when it came to exiting bios settings i saved and exit but then it just took be back to the bios settings rather than starting windows up. do you know what could be wrong?
Same thing happened to me, I reverted what I did in BIOS and windows started up… however I still cannot enable secure boot and leave BIOS.
I am also having this issue 😢
Muy buen video, me ayudo bastante, muchas gracias de verdad.
I did those steps but it just keeps booting back into bios an i cant get into windows, any help?
I have the same problem
my problem is that no security device is found but tzhe thing is it has the security device
I did this to try to update to windows 11 but my computer still says it something wrong. Bad software…….
Thanks man!

If I disable csm my m.2 disappears. Any ideas?
I tryed it and my hard drive are not showing How do I fix it
I did what you showed but hard drives not showing up for boot
I can’t enable the secure boot
Should we put the settings back after we are done?
I don't see a reason to, unless there's an issue
My fans run 100 % at start up can i disable this feature
you can change the fan curve in the settings
It says my secure boot is enabled but not activated. And when I look at my settings it says it is not enabled
Did you figure this out?
It is easy to fix, just change the option below from standard to custom, then custom back to standard and click “don’t save” and then it should say “active”
thank you!
How about intel
My valorant is still crashing!!
Alright i did everything and now my monitor wont wake up from standby mode.
Helps
Hi, I'm on Win11, and need to do a full reformat, but i get a pop up saying my TPM 2.0 is disabled. When I went into BIOS, it's still marked as enabled.

@@tanabhmishra5891have you guys figured it out? im having the same issue too
@@tanabhmishra5891UPDATE!??
@@tanabhmishra5891update plz
@@tanabhmishra5891is it still not working for you guys
what if i don't have an option for TPM ?
you can check if the CPU supports it and also update the bios because it may be old.
What if when I go to save after disabling csm support I can’t launch my windows? I just get brought back to bios
