Once Vicegerent of God (Khalifat-Allah) Abdul Malik 705 AD had eliminated his rival Ibn Zubair 692 AD - via Hajjaj - in the Seige of Mecca, it was now time to unify. No more variant coins; no more variant Qurans (ibn Zubayr's). Only 1 type now and 1 version - Hajjaj is dispatched to enforce this.
