I haven’t seen dual blade Kirito in a while but I did get to read something from the light novel that actually made me happy see, but I wanna see the anime adaptation...
I say I don't miss its cause like you said it's like he getting away from his true self and I think we should all be true to ourselves and try to either overcome or face the past for what it is and for kirito it is the lives he couldn't save but I think this anime will probably help him to overcome his past and become better.i don't know if I am right or not but I feel like I am close.
True, but he's not technically part of the underworld society since he's not even a resident living there, Cardinal knew that part too. He can do it, but doesn't want the haunting memories to come back from his dark years of sao; PTSD is a b*tch to people.
@@atrixiumalt3880 i know it is; however, some people will take it literally and start petitioning for duel wielding. I think kirito wants it to be all said and done and to forget about it, but for LN readers that won't be the case know won't it? Just to have to wait and see.
My Final Hour dude Shut up shut up shut up...ghostkiller ain’t much better here dammit! Ugh I can’t even rebuke you without giving up the ghost-just hope this croc guy doesn’t pay attention to replies to his comments...
Theres is a real reason and it's actually explained in the novels. From the begining, Kirito didn't even want a sword for himself, he was happy with Eugeo being the only swordsman. That's because he had a bad feeling about having two swords. Two swords means there's one for each (kirito and Eugeo) and it would allow them to fight each other. His fear is actually confirmed at the end of season 3, when Eugeo (RIP) said they would've fought for Alice. That's why it was only at the end of the season, after losing Eugeo (the one thing Kirito had tried to prevent by avoiding having two swords) that he finally used the dual blade style
Then when he got reconnect hax on grew arm like a fcking lizard lol and when his legs popped out while fighting subtilizer using the night sky sword to collect all the resources in uw
That's what I wanted to say. At the beginning of the series he can barely use one due to the limitations of the underworld, so using two would require an insanely high authority level, and changing them for 2 swords of a lower authority level would probably result in them breaking against stronger blades.
In real world, duel blade is actually really rare. Only a Japanese sword master Miyamoto Musashi had ever have the record book of how to use dual blade, not to mention even Musashi's katanas are not the same length, with one significant shorter than the other.
In European sword manuals too, you have sword and shield, sword and dagger, but never two swords of the same length. If you have 2 swords, you use one to block and the other to attack, and you might as well use a shield because it works better.
@@chrisnguyen1186 blades of the same length do show up in a few manuals actually. The best way to do it is to attack from two different angles at the same time. Either two cuts from different sides, a cut and thrust simultaneously, or two thrusts from different angles. It takes a lot of skill but it is definitely doable. As for sword and sheild being better, not necessarily. Sword and sheild has it's pros and cons, as does longsword, as does dual blades, as does any other weapon. One is usually never inherently better than the other.
@@lacyanstradia5341 Kirito just lost his memory and when he gets his memory back theres no more relationship with alice so um3 guessing Eugeo will be with Alice (But thats just my theory)
Dual wielding Kirito is really nostalgic. I'd like to have him back but, seeing how his persona evolved from instinct driven swordsman in a heartless death game to a skilled swordsman and partner to search their childhood friend, is really making sense. He doesn't need to go 'wild' at this point of the story. Plus the blue rose and his sword combined is heavier than what he can actually carry. Yes, no more high volume combos for high hp monsters and skilled TKers and such. Just plain swordsmanship, which is something he really wanted to be. Makes sense why. In the end, it all boils down to the timing of his use for the dual weilding. I'd have goosebumps see him pinched then use his dual weilding to slay multiple, or hard to defeat, single enemies. I'd love to see that.
I don't miss it at all, tbh, while i enjoyed those moments in the story i never got obsessed or attached with it , don't get me wrong i loved his duel blade action in SAO but after that i guess it just made sense to me that weapon skills were going to change based on the new worlds they were going to and with the latest it makes even more sense world wise and emotion wise on why Kirito doesn't want do it, the few scenes that come up in alice arc will be enough for me, at this point i would rather see him move to something completely different then just going back to what he is used to if it was me. awesome little bonus SAO video fox :)
Great video! Kirito is my favorite character and I want to see him dual blade again. I do understand why he doesn't want to because of some of the bad memories from Aincrad. I also love his new sword in SAO: Alicization and the fight scenes. 😊

They should keep him the way he is at the moment. The thing with Kazuto is that everyone asumes that he is op in everything that he does (wich is kind of true tbh) but now we see him struggle and realy working for what he wants to achieve. That side is completly new and gives us the feeling of hype and uneasyness for example the Alice encounter. We saw that she was at that moment stronger and that by a mile. The introduktion of "enhance armament" and the one on one combats where they use thire enviornment to overrun the oponent is a nice feature and that shows us that skills and Weapons are not the main thing to rely on and that they can sometimes do moves that are unexpected for thire oponens and us. (Btw grade video i like your Sao videos and even the other stuff you upload keep it up♡)
It’s kind of his niche. Like every anime character has their “thing”. I guess you could it’s just being a swordsman but from sao the thing that made him stand out was duel wielding. That’s his thing. Would’ve been cool to see although I’m fine with the road they took. Having Eugeo as his partner is almost like duel wielding bc it’s fighting with two blades, just having the second blade being controlled by someone else. Food for thought.
CMIIW. Remember that the first time Kirito was in SAO, he can barely lift the Blue Rose Sword? He HAS to build his 'Control' first before being able to LIFT the Blue Rose Sword. And he, along with Eugeo, did just that after defeating goblins back in the cave, and by training (cutting the tree with Blue Rose Sword) Then, after he finally managed to get into the Academy, all he did is training with one sword. If I'm not mistaken, the required 'Control' for BRS is 55, and Night Sky Sword is around than that amount as well. So, logically, he need to reach even more height to dual wield those swords. And why not just use two lower level swords? The higher the sword level is, the more combos you can deliver. I won't give any spoiler for what would happen next, however...
#QOTD I like Dual Wield Kirito. I like to think of it as his ultimate form to protect the people he cares about. He has used it to save so many people. I would like to see it one last time protecting Alice and Eugeo!!!
I miss dual blades Kirito, but I don't mind not having it. My flaw is, I wish Kirito and Eugeo kept the academy teacher outfits, I really liked their designs.
I dunno, i think it would be pretty cool if he somehow gotba hold of his original black blade and asunas blade during alicization ☆~☆ that would be insanely sick!!
Apart from the basic feeling of not wanting to resurrect The Black Swordsman, let's remember that that persona is attached to a lot of painful memories for him. There's also the feeling he has that, it "leaves him no room to retreat" if he uses it, and that summoning that image again obliges him to win, no matter how painful it is. There's a bit more on some of this in the LN than what's mentioned here. Kirito's inner monologue goes into how, in order to face the Floor Bosses in the original Aincrad, you essentially descended into a kind of madness, like walking a tightrope over a literally bottomless pit. Aside from all that, yes, it will become possible for Kirito to use increasingly advanced Sword Skills as he accumulates more actual combat experience in Underworld. Even so, what would Kirito use as a second sword? There's really only one sword that he has enough of a connection to that such a thing would be viable. The trouble is, to actually wield the Blue Rose Sword, it seems like you'd have to meet the same condition as with the first time we saw Kirito use someone else's sword, that is, when he stabbed Heathcliff with Asuna's rapier, Lambent Light.
im so glad someone actually went over this and said the real reason. the light novel of which the anime is based off of specifically says that he doesnt want to so ha can start off fresh and anew rather than being seen as the dual swordsman. he wants to be seen as kirito.
I feel like in the future when kirito fights the administrator or the last enemy he's gonna pull out duel swords and do a 100 combo hit lol. Or duel sword and use 2 perfect weapon controls at once.
There was nothing like keeping the dual blade kirito quiet through alfheim(except for that one time) and the beginning of OS and then boom, Dual blade kirito and 14 hit Zekken, can't remember exact hit, but the thrill of seeing an OG come to life was pretty much worth the wait for such a memorable moment. What is the Blackswordsmans harsh experiences even without him overcoming it with a sudden appearance of dual blades, can't over use it either through the... whole... damn... series...
I honestly do miss the Duel Blade Kirito!!! He was just so OP using two swords and his speed with them was so awesome!!! I even took his Duel Blade as my own speciality with my sword ability because he made it so impressive!!! (My goal is to be as OP as Kirito)
Spoiler Kirito will probably start duel wielding after Eugo dies. Eugo dies in volume 14 of the light novels. I think the part they're in right now (traveling up the tower) is volume 12 or 13.
I thought it was pretty badass how kirito switched up in Alicization. Not just the matter of wielding a single sword but how he used it as well. He even switched from holding it on his back to on his waist.
Kirito doesn't need to be the futurized anime Musashi Miyamoto, but watching a dual bladed hero is very satisfying. Like how Leonardo from TMNT was the leader and is a dual blader. Kirito as a character in this new arc is trying to heal due to what happened to him early on. Using dual blades might help him reconstruct his mind through his soul by going back to what he created himself in SAO1. Just my theory.
Oof great video man! I always thought Kirito was unable to duel yield swords because weaponry requires a certain level. And if he was to dual yield alongside with the sword he created for himself, just like you said with the blue rose sword, it would just crush him. So in this world possibly maybe having that one sword is more beneficial for the time that they have there. That’s at least what I thought lol! Good video :)
Both Liz and Asuna have said the Kirito would only use duel weapons and going all out is if life was on line again. Like Sinon has say hes much different when he fights when he back in a game that was not a death happening. But duel wielding is very hard to learn.
Well several reasons, 1: The object priority system, means he needs enough object control to use both swords, and in underworld object level trumps all, a priority 40 sword is better than 2 priority 30's Period in the way underworld works. In fact said priority 40 sword would probably snap the priority 30 swords like twigs. So in the world he is in, its just not really viable. Thats my take on it anyway.
I love how this guy is so patient and doesn’t just start saying “because the company of the anime fking made it like that just deal with it okay?” Or just not make videos about popular questions like many other you tubers.
Read something about a 95% reply rate so, just wanted to congratulate you on all the subs, From dmo to anime you have come a long way so just congrats!
I feel like you could look at it as a “class upgrade”. Like how acquiring more authority control puts you under further charge of the system. Just how he broke the system in the original arc during season 1.
I like that he hasn’t used duel wielding yet . They jump to that to suspense a lot and it just won’t work again and again but making us wait for it will build that needed suspense
i believe toward the end eugeo and kirito will take on the leader of the dark realm in which eugeo will die, or get close to dying and kirito will weild eugeos blade as a second sword.
AHHH I MISS THE DUAL BLADES!!! BUT THE SINGLE BLADE IS COOL TOO. Hmm actually if Kirito’s going to keep with the single sword maybe he will use a katana! That would be cool too
I kinda want to see Kirito dual wield. Something like what he did in Caliber, chain one-handed sword skills. If he can't do dual sword skills, he can at least try to train with one hand at a time
in one of the books (book 14 or 15) he actually does use eugeos body that mixed with the blue rose sword that is turned into the red rose sword and his own sword to fight the administrator so don't worry you WILL see him fighting with 2 swords again VERY SOON
I mean, Kirito was known for Dual Wielding. Without it, it feels incomplete. It's like Goku without the ability to turn to SSJ, Ichigo not knowing Zangetsu, Naruto not having Kurama and Luffy not having his Gomu Gomu no Mi. I'm not saying he's nothing without dual wielding. What I meant is, it was his trademark. I knew he'll dual wield in Alicization but it just feels incomplete without it.
But it's not anymore. That's the point of the last third of the video. There is no need for the Black Swordsman anymore. Every attempt at re-creating the SAO crisis has been foiled by that same swordsman, and while it sounds dramatic, asking him to take up that mantle again is akin to asking a retired veteran to take up arms again. Not because he needs to, not because there is a crisis. But because he looks cool in uniform. I sincerely hope OS was the last time we see the Black Swordsman, for this exact reason.

What is the Blackswordsmans harsh experiences even without him overcoming it with a sudden appearance of dual blades, can't over use it either through the... whole... damn... series...
Kirito should get Dual wealding and kill Quinella with Starburst Stream. That would bei nice.
He will but it will cost everything.... 😭😭😭
Spoiler
In Quinella just a dual sword play but In the main boss, kirito will use sbs with eugeo
I honestly do miss the Duel Blade Kirito!!! He was just so OP using two swords and his speed with them was so awesome!!! I even took his Duel Blade as my own speciality with my sword ability because he made it so impressive!!! (My goal is to be as OP as Kirito)
Do you think kirito will see or use his 2 original swords in the sword art online season 3
be sure to watch the full vid 😉
Well... That would be OP
Spoiler
Kirito will probably start duel wielding after Eugo dies. Eugo dies in volume 14 of the light novels. I think the part they're in right now (traveling up the tower) is volume 12 or 13.
Nah!! because there no special ability with that two sword, and it will be cut of by intergyty knights by one hit
with 2 swords he can actually enhance both his offense and defense since his reaction is a bit OP inside the game
I thought it was pretty badass how kirito switched up in Alicization. Not just the matter of wielding a single sword but how he used it as well. He even switched from holding it on his back to on his waist.
Kirito will dual blade.. at a cost.. :(
He used Eugeo's blade...after he was heavily wounded, to defeat Administrator
JustKiz after that he passes away and will be in coma for a few months
@@ghostgaminstudio8986 exactly on waht chapter of the light novel of alicization does this happen?
EUGEEOOOOOO BEST BOY NO
@@tyrantworks9604 yeah eugeo dead, also he's a integrity knight after being captured by quinella
the final episode of Alicization was released , he did used dual wield ... As well as his blackswordsman outfit was brought to him by the system
did anyone see the move kirito used to defeat chudelkin in episode 22 it was DOPE
It basically just charging and screaming and release..
*Finaly been waiting for this. Thanks Foxen Anime!!*
What other weapon do you think kirito would use other than swords?
A dildo 🍆
Foxen Anime lol 😂
@@FoxenAnime Its still a "sword" in a way. xD
Last Arc Mild Spoiler:
Actually he defeated a bear unarmed and shirtless in the last arc
@@london7415
You mean a dildo bat? If anyone will get that reference.
Both Liz and Asuna have said the Kirito would only use duel weapons and going all out is if life was on line again. Like Sinon has say hes much different when he fights when he back in a game that was not a death happening. But duel wielding is very hard to learn.
it would be cool if he re-crafted his Elucidator
I think Kirito is practicing his single "sword" techniques for when he has a "sleepover" with Asuna.........if you what I mean
😆
Yes! Another banger video time!! ^_^
What is the beginning scene from? It looks so high quality, like a movie, but I don't remember it in ordinal scale, unless I'm just forgetting
Yup from the movie 🍦
Ah, okay! Guess I just forgot then, thanks!
I thought I was the only one thinking this. Glad to know more were too!
What scene is 0:49 from i dont remember that episode?
I WANT to see kirito using dual blades like i imagine he uses dual blades and in my mind BAD ASS INCOMING
Foxen:"Hey Kirito just ask Alice she may be more capable"
Me:"Damn!!!"
Red.... I mean Blue Rose Sword *wink* *wink*
Kirito I don't feel so good.
운명Destin Eugeo made an oopsie
HAHAHA that made me laugh so hard
👍
Ahh man that sucks. I really hope he does the two blade thing
He will.. but you won’t be happy about how he dual wields..
@@Vaynivia can ya tell me how PLEASE NOW IM SCARED
Alright spoiler alert
Eugeo dies and Kirito dual wields with the blue rose sword.
@@freakinganime6532 spoilers
he also gets a certain coat with a fidget spinner back.
@@Vaynivia spoiler
He actually uses the blue rose sword after eugeo dies and it becomes soaked in his bloop and gains the name of red Rose sword
6:00 If Aniplex animates Kiritimati dual wielding Night Sky and another dark blade, I will instantly like all your videos
1. He only has 1 sword
2. He didn't transfer his character because you can't transfer from vr to the underworld so he doesn'thave dat skill
Also, how can 2 fast blades be usefull vs. Oponents who have sword which they protect theirselves with? It was usefull only vs bosses
You can if you read the whole manga arc, remember the world seed?
This isn't the manga tho
the closest we got to dual wielding was when Kirito was climbing the wall with Alice and he used his sword and that sharp metal rod
Kennyko LMAO this comment made my day dude
1st
Hii foxen nice vid
👍
Top ten questions science still can't answer
If he does the fight will be over too quickly
I feel like you could look at it as a “class upgrade”. Like how acquiring more authority control puts you under further charge of the system. Just how he broke the system in the original arc during season 1.
I’m happy they are working on the English dubbed episodes
trash im not happy lazy
I'm gonna rewatch the whole series in dub while watching the new subbed episodes XD
Samuel HIRN You’re one of those people that like to trash dubbed
I like that he hasn’t used duel wielding yet . They jump to that to suspense a lot and it just won’t work again and again but making us wait for it will build that needed suspense
i believe toward the end eugeo and kirito will take on the leader of the dark realm in which eugeo will die, or get close to dying and kirito will weild eugeos blade as a second sword.
R u just guessing or spoiling?
@@orestesbastos guessing, never read the manga
well, i was kinda right lmao
AHHH I MISS THE DUAL BLADES!!! BUT THE SINGLE BLADE IS COOL TOO. Hmm actually if Kirito’s going to keep with the single sword maybe he will use a katana! That would be cool too
Yes I do miss the UltraFast Dual-Blade Kirito.
I kinda want to see Kirito dual wield. Something like what he did in Caliber, chain one-handed sword skills. If he can't do dual sword skills, he can at least try to train with one hand at a time
Yes, because it's his trademark. But eitherway it's fine. :)
in one of the books (book 14 or 15) he actually does use eugeos body that mixed with the blue rose sword that is turned into the red rose sword and his own sword to fight the administrator so don't worry you WILL see him fighting with 2 swords again VERY SOON
Yes i miss duel wielding kirito so much
I didn't even think about his dual skills up until now
Sword art online greatness
i mean in the latest episode he got his old clothes back for a short time when he transformed so it is a possibility of dual wielding
I just want kirito and asuna to see other again I wonder if Asuna is able to go to the under world 😭😭I want them to be together!
Lowkey_ Annie well if you don’t mind spoilers...
She will
If he dual wields in Underworld, then it’s probably either with Night Sky + Blue Rose/Fragrant Olive.
Fragrant Olive is two handed sword and it's several times heavier than Kirito's sword according to LN, so it's impossible.
Actually it iss red *cough* blue rose sword
I would only want kirito to duel wield if he is in a life or death situation.
Could black swordsman of sao even with his dual wielding skill ever defeat the original black swordsman Guts from berserk.
Kirito will be slashed before he can use his skill.
He only draws the second sword when truly goes all out but he rarely has a reason two
I want to see dual wielding. Its just his thing you know.
I sincerely hope OS was the last time we see the Black Swordsman, for this exact reason.
two blades are better than one. but with all the sword skills stuff I could see it being difficult keeping track of both
3:48 asuna's pantsu
I’m assuming since I haven’t read the light novels that Kirito will have to use the dual blades at a crucial moment later on in Alicization?
Why would Kirito duel wield he got a great sword in his pants .
Great video Foxen 💯
👍
