    i was wandering why in the mini avatar fights if i tried to melee carbuncle automatically lost all emnity

    Does this in any way really effect summoner's damage in endgame/high level party content? I would assume it does, but, please still have summoner be good ;-;

      Yes and no. Auto attacks are much weaker now than before but honestly SMN has always been a 1 and done job anyways because we can't afford to keep avatars out long term without lots of refresh support. This will effect things like Fenrir where people were using them in Dynamis and such for a free avatar thanks to dark weather and relic gear -3 perp depending on day/weather or top notch gear with nashira gages and Evoker's boost +1. Outside of that I'm not really seeing a damage difference on bloodpacts themselves. Im still able to pop out 2k Flaming Crushes on lower level targets. That will be a number that will be available on higher targets as well when we get access to Corsair and more pet foods. All this really effected was white damage and the avatar's ability to actually hold enmity, which was working incorrectly because they were not losing enmity for taking damage.
      Because of the enmity change it does make soloing on SMN much different now though. It's much more punishing. Which I'm fine with lol. Nothing really changed for me personally because smn/nin was already my default favorite solo job combo anyways until we get access to /sch.

    everything in this game is nerfed now. except new stuff. cant get anywhere with the exception of lvl 99 on retail.

      You mean a 6-boxers paradise? Almost everyone has 6 characters maxed out on 6 different accounts lol

    Also how do you get your macro window to look like that? most of my macro titles are cutoff

      These are just vanilla macros. I use shortened names for macros to avoid cut off. Stoneskn instead of Stoneskin for example.

    Every update they put out makes it less and less like the FFXI we knew and loved. There's a reason people still play it, 20 years later. It would be nice if someone would open a true 75 cap as it was server.

      The only reason this server exists is because SE refused to make a classic server cause it wasn't seen by them as a great "business decision"... lol

      Summoner was easily the job nerfed the hardest by this update. We lost a decent amount of damage and we can't really keep things off us anymore either. Which is why you see me choosing to release my pet and kite instead of letting an avatar like Carbuncle tank for me. Because Carbuncle can no longer keep enmity off me and I get 2/tic refresh by simply opting out of using an avatar. Not the best design for a pet job, but whatever works.

      ​@@BrixyXI man I didn't even see patch notes. What did they change? And I never think a class should be butchered (all the bst haters out there that want it dead). But every class should be good imo

      @@robertbarrows4795 It was a bug fix that was making it so pets were never losing their Cumulative Enmity. This was making it so they were tanking easier than intended because they were never losing enmity for receiving damage. It was a needed adjustment. All pets also had their auto attack damage because it was higher than intended also. Summoner is still fine. Everyone is just freaking out without actually testing anything. Which is why I made this quick video to show smn is still perfectly fine lol.

      @@BrixyXI lol ya I play bst and didn't notice anything. But I always see the "murder bst" haters (until they need my help at least) lol. Glad it's not murdered tho

      I think we, as players, feel like something's taken away if our favorite job is balanced (ie. nerfed) because of our previous experiences with retail (or private) servers.
      Good to have a reminder that the core mechanics of the job are still doing fine. The balance adjustments help the server have more long-term staying power instead of having a runaway train of powercreep.
