Die hard Mets fan over here. I thoroughly enjoyed your keen and honest input here. I agree on parada and Ramirez by the way. I like Stearn’s philosophy on pushing kids up. If an 18 year old kid could go to war and get shot at,minor league top prospects(especially top prospects),could get challenged as well. I am all for it. Not into being reckless with these kids but at the same time, I don’t like prospect hugging either. Again. Great job here 👍🏾.
Like the input on Wilkin Ramos,Franklyn,Morabito,Clifford.Future looks bright. Also Sproat is intriguing
Sproat with consistent enough command is in the mlb rotation at some point soon
@@ernestdove From your lips to GOD’S beautiful ears 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
Awesome coverage on minors, Thanks!. Also liked AJ Ewing, and Luke Ritter.
AJ Ewing a kid I probably start covering more as he gets more ABs at new level and adjusts. I hope Ritter gets a taste of MLB
Do you know where Matt Allen is in recovery? Is he appearing this year?
Great video, love the honesty about the prospects.
I appreciate that!
great job man as always. right on... I've long been a proponent of moving guys quickly, or being aggressive in that way. Otherwise they time out of the org and all you've done is develop a guy for a different org, or missed out altogether.
Guys on the ice cold list: Rosa, almost the same exact BB/K but w less results.
Guys on the rise: Wenninger, 3x 10k. Joander, even in tough starts went b2b 10k limited damage - skills needed above. He is an MLB pitcher and will be a mlib FA at end of yr. Between that and as you noted the Syr studs struggling, those guys also thrive on pitcher-friendly comp, demote 2 for Suarez and Stuart.
Hawkins up: I like him as a long relief guy.
Obvious to say now, but Nunez(!), hope he sticks for good.
Glad you mentioned R Hernandez. I think he's the inevitable pairing w FA, about the time Torrens times out coincidentally. Saves face for the Parada debacle.
Way down on Jett and Vargas, both wrist injuries. Those are brutal long term. Also JW swing will need an overhaul, his glove is not what was said to be, not close to being a #1 prospect, like Parada was false hope so is he.
Keep hope for Vasil, HAmel, and Blade, maybe demote 1 or 2 to light a fire, but their stuff is there they just are missing or flattening out, but should be the kind of thing that once its fixed they will be on a tear again. Cheers!
Yeah Stearns has rushed many prospects and ones like Rosa are struggling but I won't go stock down yet on him. That's a guy I judge end of season because he's definitely staying in Low A so see if he adjusts etc
Any word on Drew Gilbert returning?
One of those minor leaguer witness protection program situations. Hard to get true intel in minor league injuries
The Vasil fall-off is an interesting mystery
I'm hoping it gets solved. Outings can be bad or good but overall what I'm concerned with is the BB/K situation
Usually by now he's fully adjusted to higher level bats. I'm mostly worried about lowered k rate.
