I don't think Val has enough maps to warrent having a map pool. Sure change the chance of getting some maps but there shouldn't be an outright map pool/map ban for lengths at a time
If Valorant introduces a map voting system, even if it’s like how R6 is and it’s 5 map options, each team bans a map, and then you randomly get one of the three remaining maps, that would be soooooo huge. Just so every other game isn’t fucking breeze
My guess is maybe they're not changing the maps to test if the viper and cypher nerfs would reduce their pick rates on the current maps (considering the cutrent map rotation is the strongest maps for both viper and cypher)

Next map will be reveald at VCT masters Shang hai so around 23rd of may to 10th of june. It's still three to five weeks to the new act and i think releaceing content like this is stupid idea😊

Sure, they all make her worse at what she does, but what she does and enables still hasn’t changed and there hasn’t been an agent introduced to replace her or do anything similar. All the nerfs do is make the opportunity cost of picking another controller less of a problem and justifies picking different smokes than simply just having viper all the time
Remember when people said icebox sucks? Well the next 2 maps breeze and fracture were decent but it got worse. Look at sunset its so laxy made i bet the next map is gonna be worse than sunset like the pattern its going right now unless they apply advanced map creation inatead of intermediate map creation.

They're not changing map rotation since masters Shanghai is coming soon and they dont want to mess with that. Which mskes 0 sense since they could just change map rotation for normal players and not pro play.

The Viper nerfs weren't even that bad. She's still the only controller whose smokes deal damage, her molly is only 1 second shorter than Brim's molly and can now kill a person with full shields, the molly also gives the enemies the vulnerable effect and also her ult is still an S tier ult. She's still the strongest controller and possibly even the strongest agent. Before they add another controller with pre-placeable smokes that deal damage and who has a site altering ult, we'll never see Viper die.
