Also, I know where the ridiculous Burn on Sahar came from. When Immolatist used Fire Flay on her, it procced he Bile Gland wich gave her more Burn. Another mystery solved.
I love Sahar and Damien, the two Heroes most eager to fight, were reluctant to enter combat because they thought it would end badly for them... And promptly perished

Yesterday on resentment I went to the beasts fight. Plague doctor died on the first wave after all the dogs and the carrion eater attacked only her for two rounds. Died on the first DBR check. It was the first fight of the run.

I think In a video you mentioned you’ve played frostpunk, and I think that’s the perfect game to make a beginner guide on. The tutorial is complete crap and it teaches you nothing about the game

Ayup, definitely procs death blow, I have killed my flagellant multiple times because I keep forgetting that. The damage also seems to proc More!MORE! unless they've patched it out, it's been a while since I picked up DD2 (pre-obsession rework).
@@froggmoe68 I can confirm, it definitely procs "more more". It's a nice insurance that even if nobody hits you you'll still at least get your own attack to proc it to get the health spent back.

Bleed in DD1 got stronger and more likely when you upgraded it
@@nessesaryschoolthingThe thing with that it was flat healing + it had low res piercing + you could have bandages on you all the time to mitigate it. Now it's a chance yes but I think DOT damage in general is a much more of a threat in this game since you don't have many ways to consistently mitigate it
@@jimmy_h7911 It wasn't flat. It was variable too. You could zero heal/ bleed yourself in 1.
Though you're right that bleed resistance and bandages were easier to come by. Now, it's something you really have to build around to use consistently. I think that's better.
I wish Occultist's personal bleed resistance was stronger like it was in 1 so he could at least consistently heal himself, though.
@@nessesaryschoolthing Nah I meant variable flat heal so you could at least still occasionally heal your damage dealers for crit 40 istead of healing them for maximum of 10 and bleeding them so you just basically healed them for 4
Although I must admit that you still can roll or guarantee crazy crit heals but it requires some prep. I just wish that upgraded it gave some minimum heal that is not 0 like in dd1
Why did duelist get 6 burn from that one attack? Did she have a quirk or trinket, or is that normal?
she had Bile Gland trinket which allows her to inflict blight with her attacks at the cost of being burned when attacked. So the fire attack she was hit with gave her 3 burn then the Bile Gland gave her another 3.

Any tips to get out of denial? No I'm not joking, please help i'm apparently 76 hours in and haven't gotten out some how.
Where are you getting stuck in Denial? Are you dying to the mountain boss, or fights on the way?
Teams that were good in dd1 are not always good in dd2, this is a different game and you NEED a different mindset to win
@nessesaryschoolthing mostly the mountain boss is the one I need tips for. Each time I get to it I don't see a win as possible. All the other times are me being over or under confidant on lair bosses, or an unlucky death save. (Which I KNOW are my fault)
@@cobble4902 My suggestion is to go into Denial with a team that either focuses on melee attacks OR ranged attacks, but not both. For example, having HWM + GR as your damage dealers while letting a "melee" character like MAA just chill out and spam support moves. Vice versa works too if you have something like Hellion + Leper as damage and PD as support.
Enter the fight and immediately focus down the lock that would normally disable your damage guys. Fight becomes way easier once you have access to your good damage moves 100% of the time. (also be sure to focus down one lock at a time instead of spreading out damage, the heal lock will undo heaps of progress if you let its death heal all its allies)
The 3 negative relationship skill on flag yikes 😬
