I'm sure the chickens loved getting out of the fenced area and foraging in the grass, it's good for them - they look great. Give them a pumpkin - chickens actually like fresh vegetables.

The dent and odd scuff is the patina. It's a nice look. My husband was a shoe polisher as well, he loved his brogues.
My father loved brogues and never let me leave the house with unpolished shoes. He always said a lady always has her shoes polished.

i love that you have chickens! are you able to leave them for a few days without tending to them? i have always wanted to have chickens, but we are back and forth between our lake/mountain home and city home.

If they lived in a colder climate they would need a proper house. Not sure how they are going to do there? I'm sure Ali has done his homework. I noticed the posts today and I thought that entire enclosure could use a roof.
