Had Gastric Bypass 10 years ago and I gained a good chunk of my weight back after about 3 years post-surgery. Started Wygovy 4 weeks ago and I'm done 8lbs so far and the cravings have been stamped down quite a bit, where when I had the surgery the cravings were still there. I'm actually excited and not miserable like I was after the surgery. I used to LOVE having a beer after work, now after about 3-5 sips I'm good and do not want anymore.

You know if you drink enough to damage your liver you’ll also feel pretty terrible after a few sips

I find that it does work and it does slow down the craving and the problem is its to expensive and needs more research and make it available for everyone and possibly cheaper

im one of them. Dr put me on Ozempic because was very large and sugar was getting out of control. Well the weight came off sugar down to managable levels. But the biggest thing to my surprise. It stoped my craving for beer!!, And i have drank beer for little over 30 years.

They should develop a low dose of this for people who don’t want to lose weight but stop habits. As a glp 1 agonist im going to try allulose for bad habits. It’s just a sugar. I’ve been having some allulose every day and i do notice I don’t care much about food

I never heard it doing something to dopamin. I'm a Gamer, and I haven't noticed me not enjoying my games as much and I have been on 1mg for half a year.
It's just food and alcohol for me. I still vape a lot though. But that was never really about nicotine for me and more about the behavior addiction of inhaling and exhaling something that.

Telling some people to just stop is similar to telling people with negative addictive behaviors the same thing. It seems like these medications give us control our dopaminergic pathways and allows us to have more control over our habits/addictions.

Obesity is a form of addiction, and addiction is passed down trauma from generations. There was a paper about family members of holocaust survivors. You should look into it.
