To be honest I am very surprised to see the state of affairs in Karachi's DHA, the broken roads, beggers everywhere, electricity not underground and unruly traffic besides the problems you've stated. I frequently go to DHA Islamabad and it is very different as it is a gated community like BTK and the electricity is underground and even though it too suffers from frequent security lapses, it is in my opinion the safest area in all of RWP/ISB region. I believe when DHA Karachi was built, street crime did not exist or it was limited to poor neighborhoods only and the concept of having utilities underground was not as prevelant. Any how, if I could be asked to suggest something to this area's residents it would be to use their power to hold the concerned authorities accountable for their negligence. Lastly, thank you for your efforts!

DHA all over the country are beautiful but karachi dha is the worst among all.. we pay the most tax in the region but we dont get 1% of it.. irony we cannot hold accountable security authority.. we ask for change but unfortunately its not in our hand all we can do it to raise voice for the people of karachi.
i have mentioned about underground wiring system it just ruins the aesthetic of the city and karachi electric cuts all flowering tree just because they cannot keep their wire underground so the tree has no right to come between them and all the beautiful gulmohar tree which has huge conopy is destroyed by k electric.
I think DHA Karachi is also the oldest DHA in the country, which is why electric wires are overhead and not underground. Well, electric wires don't matter at all to me. Just look at San Francisco, where all the wires are overhead in the city, but it still looks so aesthetic. The thing that matters is lane marking in commercial areas, not in residential areas. I mean, it's not important. And the greenbelt, if these things are proper, the city will look beautiful automatically.
Overhead electric wire could be managed properly look at Tokyo comes in the top 3 most developed cities But there is different between overhead cable and overhead jhumgatha
Yes, I understand the difference. San Francisco also has jungles of wires. Just take a look at the city's drive. And for your kind information, Tokyo is not even in the top 5 in 2023. However, it is a nice city but sadly ranked at the 9th position. By the way, you cannot compare Tokyo with Karachi. Tokyo is the capital of Japan, a very high-income country, while Karachi is the financial city of Pakistan, a lower middle-income country.
