A lot of respect to Conor. It's easy to kick a man when he is down but he changed the game for ever, for the better. If he wants to come back, he should go back to how he was when he was hungry and up and coming. This is a crazy game. Respect to anyone that steps in that cage.
You describe it well, he has to be hungry again. He was too passive in this fight whereas aggression and overwhelming opponents with creativity was what won him most of his fights. He stepped away from that in this fight, respected his opponent too much and that ended up costing him. It wasn't a problem in his ability, it was the gameplan his coaches setup for him.
He turned the game into a circus show. Vacating every title and cherry-picking fights. Khabib fixed the sport by not taking cheap money fights against Conor and fought guys like Poirier and Gaethje instead.

Let this be your petition to sign. No matter what happens to Conor throughout his MMA career, and personal life, his real fans will be here by his side. He puts these shows on for us, the man could have never fought again, he’s doing it for his fans. With that, he takes the risk of losing. Either way, we get a Conor McGregor fight. And many more to come. He is clearly hungry for competition. Let’s just hope he can make something happen for us loyal fans and get some wins before he ages a little older. He is a true legend of the game, and he is still alive. Don’t take that for granted. Look what happened to Kobe. We want our legends alive and well, and Conor is just that. But he’s not old yet, he’s still in his prime, in terms of physique, and athleticism. In terms of wealth he is set. So let’s be happy that he’s still hungry for competition, and most importantly loyal to his fans, by giving us these fights, now let’s be loyal back, and cheer him on no matter the result. He takes the risk of humiliation when he steps under those lights, and he wears those losses on his sleeves.
Im a hardcore conor fan man but goddam it is hard to see him fight this way. I want him hungry as he did during his rise in 2014-2015-2016 man this is so sad I honestly prefer him to not fight
Theres a lot of people that hate the man and cant stand to even give him credit for anything. Like you said they love to kick him while he's down but they should at least acknowledge that he donated $500k.
It's honestly respectable to see him wearing a suit here. Imagine how hard and painful it must be to put a suit on with a destroyed leg and a balloon in your calf.
Yeah. I went an look for the comment. Gave it a thought. Tbh yes Khabib and Conor were rivals. Khabib did gave Conor props for this fight the 1st and 2 rounds. Having said tht. The tweet actually was quite spot on. Khabib is talking some facts, Conor did adopt a boxing stance throughout and away fom his Karate stance. ( i think Conor camp brought in his first boxing coach) ido portal was nowhere in Conors camp ever since. Not sure who was Conors sparring partners for the porier 2 fight. But it was sound comment and also slid in abit of sarcasm. What ever it is.. i hope Conor regains his composure. I only think that can happen if he loses that bitterness with Khabib. Just my opinion.
Had Conor mopped the floor with Dustin, Khabib might have shown a little more interest. But since he handily defeated both already and Dustin snapped McGregor in half last night, Khabib is sitting pretty 😀

He kind a carried the whole business on his shoulders for few years. Edit: Oh, and one more addition: Could Khabib be where he is right now, without Connor's blood and sweat beforehand?
Because of low leg kicks. With his karate stance, he was susceptible to leg kicks (Eddie Alvarez kicked him few times). On top of that, game has seen evolution of calf kicks. So he was probably aware of it and decided not to go with karate stance for this game.
I haven’t been a Connor fan for a few years because of the way he developed his personality, so seeing humble, open, honest Connor is something new and nice to see. I hope that it lasts a long while.

@@Maruragakari actually, this fight brought something to mind regarding mcgregor's power above the 145lb class...he tko'ed alvarez, but we've seen alvarez being a tad chinny following his prime in bellator... He landed on khabib, but khabib looked pretty undisturbed by the impacts... And he tko'ed (not ko'ed) cerrone, but it was after cerrone had just lost twice, one of them by ko in the first round, and even then it was a kick that mcgregor hurt cerrone with, not a punch; diaz ate his shots pretty nonchalantly, but he's a poor barometer since his chin is ridiculous, but for the most part, counting poirier's reaction to mcgregor's shots, the evidence actually seems to point to mcgregor not being a particularly devastating puncher above 145 lb, he's only really hurt two people above 145, and they were both relatively chinny and battle-worn
@@gusflynn6815 what does conor's excuses have to do with their behavior? I'm talking about "my foot was a balloon" "he fought me at my worst I fought him at his best"
he didnt. He made excuses again and somehow made it that all about calf kicks and if he was prepared for them he would win. The biggest surprise for me was where was that power he was talking about that Dustin cant take? He took couple of clean shots from Conor like nothing. Conor is a salesman obviously, now with whiskey too. He just sells himself as this perfect fighter always and disrespects the opponent. He has many flaws.
You can look at it like that, however my take on it was he was trying to work out where he went wrong. Either way, it was entertaining, no? I for one was rooting for The Diamond.
He said he expected the leg kicks. He just didnt do well enough at checking them. I think his inactivity has been his downfall. If he had been fighting more he would be more conditioned to watch and check leg kicks more effectively.
It was definitely the leg but i noticed that too. His stance was reminiscent of a boxers stance in there. Didn't see any front kicks to the stomach to gage his range either. He looked so crisp in the first round but that leg was too beat up unfortunetly.
Nope wasn’t because of his leg........ he started off in an unusual stance due to him training for a boxing match...... anyone who has watched him from the start understands that normally he fights at a distance relaxed poking with the jab then counters , throws kicks to the stomach to keep distance in this fight he was lent forword pressuring leaving his legs exposed and out of range , he use to be patient and strike with precision on the counter but now left himself open for a bunch off leg kicks and head shots
He changed stances because his stamina could not support everything he was doing. He needs to fix his stamina or else he won't be able to do anything regardless of what stance he's in
That's a real low bar you got there for "amazing comebacks." Conor is human. He's a good fighter but he simply isn't on Khabib's level. Khabib is way too smart to let Conor tee off on him and we've seen with Alvarez, the Poirier rematch, and Nate fights that Conor has to put a beating on guys above 145 to get them out of there. He's not finishing guys with a single clean connection or two. Khabib is smart and durable enough to avoid that and McGregor doesn't have the gas to win a war.

Usually Conor annoys the shit outta me but what a great post fight interview and press conference. Really classy and honest

I'll keep saying it every time. Rhonda could learn on how to accept defeat.
Yep. Lost any respect I had for her over that
conor didn't accept khabib defeat

@@gusflynn6815 what does conor's excuses have to do with their behavior? I'm talking about "my foot was a balloon" "he fought me at my worst I fought him at his best"
@@vumazwesiziba4103 'Conor didnt accept khabib defeat'..your words, explain th sentence plz
I'm not a fan of McGregor, but he took his loss like a man, I respect that.
@@outlander234 not only that, this is after that crazy fight he had with hooker.
@@solidboss1738 yeah and Hooker is welterweight he is so big like 6 foot he would destroy Conor
@@outlander234 did u even watch it that’s a load of shit he showed no disrespect
You can look at it like that, however my take on it was he was trying to work out where he went wrong. Either way, it was entertaining, no? I for one was rooting for The Diamond.
The real question is why were calf kicks unexpected. Dustin literally throws those every fight. Conor’s loyalty is his downfall.
I think that he didnt know that hurt so bad
it seems like he was aware. but the issue is that he checked them incorrectly.
@@magomed9959 yeah agreed. No one ever throws that against him so it was a suprise
He said he expected the leg kicks. He just didnt do well enough at checking them. I think his inactivity has been his downfall. If he had been fighting more he would be more conditioned to watch and check leg kicks more effectively.
That takedown at the beginning probably played a part in throwing Conor off as well. Nobody mentioning it

Conor Mcgregor- “Not the hero I deserve, but the hero I needed”
Needs to go back to his old style in and out at range counter strikes ..... he’s loosing because he’s trying to box in their with a boxing stance
No it’s because he got a fucked up leg so he wasn’t able to move about like he normally does
It was definitely the leg but i noticed that too.
Yea connor was training more about boxing he should back in his old stance he looks so stiff using boxing stance in mma fight.
He changed stances because his stamina could not support everything he was doing. He needs to fix his stamina or else he won't be able to do anything regardless of what stance he's in

McGregor vs Dustin 3. Dustin deserves to be undisputed champion if Khabib isn't coming back. He's beaten 3 out of the top 5 contenders.
He can wait and win a few first. Dustin went thru hell to get a rematch
Why does Conor deserve a title shot?
2 great trilogies to be fought here Dustin and nate👌👊🏴🇮🇪
No, McGregor vs Diaz 3 is what should happen
JUSTIN vs DUSTIN is what should happen for the belt unification
"That's fightin' talk" - amazing comeback
That was the only comment that you could see the old Conner starting to peer through. Total restraint.
Doesn't matter what Conor showed up her get smashed. He is a shit fighter
That's a real low bar you got there for "amazing comebacks."
Conor is human.
@@reallycoolguy121 it was amazing because of how he regained his composure in that moment. watch it again
