    Awesome video. You did one thing that made me cringe so I’ll give a piece of safety advice for your firearm mount…if you are carrying round in chamber the weapon is placed into the mount AFTER you are seated, otherwise if placing into the mount before you get in you need to leave the chamber empty (because your head is right over the muzzle as you enter and exit the vehicle). I always had weapon in hand and then secured in mount after seated. Two reasons for that safety brief is because something can get hung up in the trigger entering or exiting the vehicle and NEVER trust the safety, as they CAN and sometimes DO fail. Glad to see that you got that thing running man. Can’t wait to see what you do to it next.

    Hold the oil container sideways so the air can displace the volume vacated by the oil without such a violent change in flow rate.

    You can replace a difficult hose more easy if you tape them together and pull the old one out and it pulls the new one in place of it

    Good video. I am not trying to be a nag I am a shop teacher - Tech tip. Adjustable wrenches like channel locks, oil filter plyers and pipe wrenches are directional. If you are going to use them on the drain plug, you might want to try the other way. One way the jaws get pushed apart and strips bolts and the other way they are stronger. The way you tightened it was obviously the best way. Tech tip 2 Pouring the antifreeze sideways will stop glugging while pouring. I like the end where you just throw some lead out there. I wish I lived in the country where I could just do that in my back yard. :)

    Enjoyed your video. My HMMWV had a blinking start light and the smart start box went about a month after that. You may consider replacing the box and perhaps glow plugs. You may already be planning that but thought I'd share. Enjoy your new ride!

    • @bfgmovies
      @bfgmovies  2 года назад +2

      yup, that is indeed something I have planned for it. Glow plugs are deff not working and if it's cold it takes a minute to start up since I gotta use the starter in a few second increments.

      @@bfgmoviesI would go with the aftermarket start box with the optional key switch and maybe the remote preheat switch. They are almost $900 but we’ll worth it since you control the duration of the preheat sequence (3 seconds recommended ) replace the glow plugs and keep a spare set off hand. Be prepared for the unexpected. BTY, vertical fore grip on a semi?

    Your start box looks fried. Pull your glow plugs and check them out. Willing to bet you have a problem from how that wait light is flashing.

    • @bfgmovies
      @bfgmovies  2 года назад

      I figured the glowplugs needed to be replaced, but if the box itself is fried that would just destroy the new ones right? I guess I'll need to figure out if the box is fine or not.

    • @jesserinaldi7952
      @jesserinaldi7952 2 года назад

      @@bfgmovies YES! I literally just made this mistake. New plugs, turns out box was bad… fried the new plugs. 70$ down the drain for no reason. Check Box first then replace plugs!

      @@jesserinaldi7952 I think I probably done the same thing lmao, I replaced the plugs and now I think I got one plug not working. Its back to having light smoke on a cold start and taking a little longer to crank. I knew I should've replaced the box because I only had 2 good plugs before I changed in my newer ones. I guess being cheap isn't always smart, I'm hoping that it didn't fried the plugs
