A life well-spent so far! It’s fun to connect the photos with the stories in Following My Thumb. The photos give a real sense of where you were and what it was like. I’ve only been following for four years, but on the other channel you used to keep. It was through there that I even realized you traveled and then got connected here a couple of years ago, almost. I've been following you for a while and your channel is probably my favorite on youtube, you made me realize it is actually possible to travel often and to so many places in the world without needing anyone or anything but things life sends your way. It is incredible to see pre digital photos from the 80s and 90s. They look so dated now as though from a long lost era. I started backpacking in 1988 so this makes me feel nostalgic.

I can only imagine how much travel has changed over the years as I only began travelling back in 2014. Travel has changed so much over the last 4 years alone with internet and sites like booking.com taking forefront or social media like Facebook to keep in touch with people.

Hey Gab, I absolutely loved this video!!! it took me through a transition in time from the 80s on-wards. To me this video has shown me that time is short and it goes quick. You have so many awesome memories, life is not to be lived in one place being tied up in work and relationships but simply to be lived day to day to the fullest!!! thank you for sharing :)

I love that you post your videos soon after you film them. I also love the budget travel tips. I did not start to travel internationally until my son moved to South Korea. Now I do a trip with him someplace almost every year. In the past I thought I could not afford it. I've learned to find cheap airfare, and use public transportation. I also don't need a luxury hotel because I don't travel for the hotel but for the sights.

I'm so so soooo jealous! You're such an inspiration. I don't have a lot of money and I'm also in a relationship with my girlfriend so it's not easy if you want to go away by yourself for a long periode. But that day will come that I can just go for 2 or 3 weeks. Don't need to do that every year but occasionally every couple of years would be nice.
