We always did it the first way you showed using an extremely sharp wooden handle butcher knife. It's amazing that we still have all our fingers. 😂
My Nonna ( Italian for grandmother) taught me a lot of things which was the old school way of doing things. Yes I agree either way u need to be very careful 😂
