I’m an OKC fan and I tweeted this just recently plus I’m not a fan of the push we are getting. Not trying to be like Memphis or Sacramento. I actually want us to be a legit contender, not just the pretty new toy for the league to prop and drop in 2 yrs if we don’t replicate the same season

@@nydibs This is blatantly wrong Shai is top 5 in Stocks, 2nd in deflection's, 3rd in contested 3s, 1st in steals by a wide margin most of those are on ball, 2nd in blocks for Guards, and Top 6 in Defensive Win Shares and Defensive Box +/-. Shai is the best 2 way player in the league.

Funny you ignored the rest of his arguments. That was only one argument out of like 7 he made. I have been watching almost every Thunder game this year and Shai has a good case to be 1st team defense this year, he has been that good.
Thunder look really good sometimes and also at times can show their inexperience. They will likely make the 2nd round. Reminds me of the Boston Celtics in their earlier stages.

@@MrKwatts27 experience in the league. I used to think experience was an overblown concept. The Boston Celtics is a prime example of what a young talented team can mature into with experience. Things like losing games to bad teams, losing games you should've won, losing games because of bad decision making or excessive turnovers are all things the Celtics struggled with as a young team. They still do actually but not as bad as in the past. The Thunder is basically that team right now.

I mean, I ultimately do not disagree with you but this OKC team looks way better than that young Celtics team. OKC has everything, shooters, defense, the net rating, the togetherness (brotherhood), coaching and etc.. I don’t know why but I think they are destined to do something great this year. When I get this type of feeling, it’s usually spot on.

As they keep using first round picks from other teams, they can set up an endless cycle of trading current star players at their peak and getting even more picks to be used several years down the road.
Their weakness is rebounding if they could correct that then they will be a threat
I’m a huge Thunder fan. I just bought a brand new Chevy trail boss that’s Thunder blue and have intentions of doing some customizations to make it my Thunder whip; now with all that said, I think it’s about time that Tatum gets his respect. He’s been leading that team to the ECF since his fucking rookie year. They have the best record in the league. He deserves more respect and I’m but a Celtics fan by any means, but I’m objective. I think Shai is the MVP when you consider the youth of this OKC team and how he’s been leading them, it’s blasphemy for him to not be top 2 at minimum

As much fun as it was making jokes at Josh Giddey's expense for his off the court stuff, I do kind of feel bad for him. He had a spot on that team by just being the best rebounder and passer on the team. But SGA and JDub gettting better at playmaking + Chet playing sort of makes him irrelevant without a good 3 pt. shot.

That franchise went to NBA finals with the roster consisted of Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka, Kendrick Perkins and Reggie Jackson. Not bad at all.
OKC must get Westbrook to be their veteran leader off the bench... It would be poetry if they wen't on to win an NBA championship. ❤

Shai is absolutely a top 5 player, easy. I don’t think he’ll win mvp this year, I think Jokic will probably get that one. I can really see Shai winning mvp down the road, hell maybe even next year. I think they’ll definitely make it to the conference finals this year, but I think Denver will knock them out. Great team though. I wished they would get talked about more
