This is incredibly helpful! Especially for new filmmakers who self-funded their films, it´s really important to have some help when it comes to festival submissions. Thanks a lot
Film festival submission waiver requests are usually for the full amount. But it's a very smart strategy to ask film festivals for partial waivers. This allows filmmakers and screenwriters to save money on submission fees, but still invest in the film festival submission process so that film festivals can still grow and pay bills. My humble advices: The next time you communicate with a film festival, as for a promo code discount instead of a 100% waiver.
As explained in the video, asking for a 100% fee waiver is fine. As a film festival director, we can't evaluate submissions for free and still run a business. But we do offer great discounts. @@Met9171

Thank you Mr. Fair. For a new low budget filmmaker, this is valuable information!
So very useful to have this information. It's common sense but yet these things can be easily forgotten. Thank you!
Mikel's fests are fair, fantastic, and have been a treat to be selected for. Plus, he's a great guy!
Thanks for the kind words.
Awesome thanks.
Mikel - This was FANTASTIC information and I THANK YOU for sharing it - I've already sent it on to my fellow filmmakers!
Thanks for checking it out. Best of luck on the Film Festival Circuit
great advice.
Does film waiver or film waiver code mean that you won't pay any fee at all(free)?

@@MikelFair why not asking for a 100% waiver?
