- In this video, Jeff and Bob dive deeply into the brand new Vortex Optics carbon fiber tripod line! The things are BAD TO THE BONE! We have used these tripods for the entire 2020 fall season. The tripods got put to the western hunter test that's for sure. Multiple different hunts and styles of hunts from a 10-day backpack hunt to antelope on the plains of Wyoming and truck hunting mule deer in the cold of Colorado's 3rd season. All 3 of these tripods passed the test with flying colors! Carbon fiber tripod review.

: Bought this after getting after my viper 85mm spotting scope from AAOPTICS! My old tripod was the ssp and struggled with the weight of the spotter. This tripod ROCKS. I am 6’2” can use spotter without kneeling or crouching over, same with my binos and it is very stable. With only three leg sections they are thicker and stronger than the skinny little four section tripods. It is bigger 29” collapsed fits perfect in outside pocket of my mystery ranch pintler or right between the torpedo pockets of my Marshall. Only 3 lbs. it works great sitting down because of longer legs I don’t have to fiddle around with extending legs just pop them out wider a notch and raise the center . Super fast, super easy, this is capable of all uses. I mounted a Spartan precision Davros head to an arca Swiss and now the tripod is an awesome shooting platform too. 22 lbs weight capacity is more than enough for my optics and my various hunting rifles.
I got the ridge view lol forgot to say, sorry
Yeah the height with the Ridgeview is awesome good luck using it this season!
DoEs the Ridgeview CF tripod come with a carrying case?
Cant find those quick attachments y'all used for your binoculars on top of the Arca Swiss, where did you find those and what exactly are they called?
Thank you
I have the original Summit, and it works great
Heck yeah man!
Did you shoot off the summit carbon? And can you swap the pan head with an outdoorsman pan head
Magic Carbon
I've been using the summit 1 for a couple years and love it besides when it's breezy or you bump it. Never used a CF tripod, so curious how much vibration it soaks up from a bump? It would have to be WAY better to drop that coin on it...
Not summit - High country! Also- why the heck does nearly every CF have twist locks vs lever locks? Still have nightmares from my Vortex Summit's twist locks, so I said no more twist locks ever! ha
Can the summit carbon hold a Vortex razor hd 27-60x85?
It can yes!
Can I run my Vortex razor hd22x48x65 spotting scope on the Ridgeview tripod?
Ohh absolutely man! We used one a ridge view quite a bit this season!
@@PNWild awesome, thanks for the reply.
Good information. I'm looking to get a new tripod. This helps.
Thanks Dennis, you won’t regret snagging one of these tripods I promise!
